A practical backpacker hotel | Hotel Tavinos, Kyoto
Hi everyone. Is SterBerry again. Today we will stay at quite an interesting hotel. It is a 3-star hotel built in 2021. This is the hotel we will stay today. Hotel Tavinos, Kyoto The theme of HOTEL TAVINOS Kyoto is “Japanese style” Let’s start to explore~ The check in process is at the kiosk machine
Or you may process to the counter for check in This is a rare case that it allowed the customer to choose which room they want We chosen room 810 XD Press confirm and wait for the room key~ Cute design room key 😀 There is a small cat in the key hole~
Let’s head to our room. The elevator will automatically select the floor after scanning the room key. The hotel corridor design is welcoming. Open sesame~ We booked a twin room. The bed can be separated if needed. There are spaces underneath the bed to store your luggage. We like this design
Additional LED lamp can be turned on if the room is not bright enough Let’s check the view Ok… Nothing to see XD There are some spaces at the bedside to put your phone and water bottle There are also light buttons and power plug/USB for charging One last thing to do. Bathroom
The bidet is there once you entered Mirror and basin at your right And lastly the stand shower room Shampoo, conditioner and body wash are free to use ~ If you need to wash cloth, the washing machine status can be obtained from the room’s TV. Very convenience! A very cute “Do Not Disturb” XD
Let’s explore the lobby The lobby is very spacious with a bright, relax environment A bookshelf full of manga to kill time A “Zen” space The hotel is just located beside the main street There is also an outdoor space to hang out A big table at the center of the lobby
I really like the atmosphere A drinking station. Free of charge! Let’s see what we have here A coffee machine with cups, sugar and cream Drinking station opening hour Ice maker machine for your favourite drink There is also an oven to heat up food Hot water for your cup noodle
There are 3 washing machines and 3 dryers in this hotel 300 yen for washing (detergent included) 100 yen for 30 mins dryer There is a self service baggage keeper Let me demonstrate how to keep and retrieve the luggage First choose the language then select store the luggage option
Select your luggage size. It only have large and small Use your suica card or any Japan transportation card to scan it The tray is loading and coming to you Open sasame! Place your luggage into the box Touch the button to confirm Confirm again to close the door And done!
The luggage size for your reference To collect the luggage, select collection Then simply use the same card that used for storing The luggage ready to collect in seconds! If the luggage machine is full, there is also a self-service zip tie lock for your luggage
Start by take out the lock and tie around the luggage Once it is done, slot the lock back to the original place Press the button and scan it with your suica card or any transportation card To collect your luggage, the step is reverse
Press the button, scan the card and retrieve your luggage. simple! The hotel is near to the Gion street (Gion-Shijo Station). It is only 1 station away from the station nearby the hotel (Kiyomizu-Gojō Station) We went out have a walk and stop by the famous dessert shop in Kyoto The Yojiya cafe
We ordered a high tea menu that come with 1 coffee and a small size dessert Magic! Feel bad to show you all Here come the main dessert. Matcha favour There is a dango inside the cup Yummy! A must try dessert if you are in Kyoto! Eat eat eat XD
We stayed for 2 nights. Is time to check out The check out process is super simple Press the check out option. Insert/return the room cards. Done! It was a pleasant stay. We rate 9/10 for this hotel. Thanks for watching the video. See you guys around~ This part is intended to be blank. haha~
Today, we are staying two nights at the Hotel Tavinos, which opened since 2021 in Kyoto, Japan. This is a very good hotel for backpackers or light travelers.
