【川越観光】川越から始まる埼玉1泊2日の旅②(1日目後半)小江戸川越で食べ歩き後半戦🍦絶品さつま芋スイーツ&夜の氷川神社⛩【埼玉旅行】Vol.80 [MULTI SUB/4K]
Hello! This is E-Ma. Continuing from last time, I am coming to Kawagoe City, Saitama Prefecture. A storehouse-style street called Little Edo. As you can see, there are a lot of people on Saturdays and Sundays. A very popular tourist destination.
This is the second part of Day 1 of our 1 night and 2 day trip to Saitama. The previous video includes the first half of the eating tour, so please take a look as well! “Siawase Inari Koji”. There was a side street that caught my attention, so let’s go there (*’▽’).
There are restaurants not only on the main street but also on the back streets. I’m really confused about where to eat (^_^;). “Siawase Inari”. It is said that it came to be called “Siawase Inari” because many happy things happened to those who visited it. I definitely have to visit this (≧▽≦)ノ.
[Imoya first generation Senjiro]. When it comes to Kawagoe, it’s definitely sweet potato sweets (´ー`). Sweet potatoes are a specialty of Kawagoe. Senjiro soft serve 500 yen. The ice cream is a mix of sweet potato and marron, and the cream is caramel (*’▽’).
It also has heart-shaped sweet potato yokan and sweet potato chips (´ー`). I came to “Kashiya Yokocho”. There are some nostalgic sweets and some you’ve never seen before. It’s fun just looking at it, but now I want to buy it for adults (゚∀゚). [Kasho Umon].
What you’re looking for is this “Freshly fried sweet potato kenpi”. 350 yen for eating while walking. There wasn’t much sugar around it, so you could feel the natural sweetness of the potatoes and it was delicious (*’▽’). “Daikokubo”. It’s a big “fu sweets”.
I bought it when I came here before, and it was very satisfying (*´艸`). . “Amezaiku”. You can experience blowing up hot candy attached to the end of a straw. I wasn’t able to do it that day because it was on a first-come, first-served basis (;´・ω・).
The shop with this eye-catching waterway is [Eel Specialty Store Unako]. In the past, many wild eels could be caught in the rivers that flow around Kawagoe. Apparently there are many eel restaurants in Kawagoe. I’m back on the main street. It’s almost dusk, but there are still so many people walking around.
The “Nekomanmayaki Onigiri” I wanted to try was sold out. “Imo koi”. This is also delicious and I love it (´ー`). “Kawagoe pudding” is also very popular. Finally, we bought some souvenirs and headed to the hotel. [Little Edo confectionery Kameya Kawagoe main store]. I bought “Kamedora” and “Hatsukari Shoyu Monaka” (´ー`).
There was one more place I had to go to before going to the hotel (^▽^;). [Kumano Shrine]. This shrine is said to bring good luck and matchmaking. The hotel you will be staying at is close by. I’m planning to take a leisurely visit tomorrow morning. I came here when the office was open.
There are a lot of fortunes lined up here. We have this “Yatakarasu Omamori Fortune”. I could only buy it when the company office was open, so I made it just in time (´ー`). The emblem of Kumano Shrine is a Yatagarasu. Yatagarasu is a messenger of the gods of Kumano.
It is said that he is widely revered as a spiritual leader who guides people. [Daily Hotel Kawagoe store]. As soon as you enter the room, you will find a bed. The room is a little small. We have everything you need. This hotel is in the best location for walking around Kawagoe.
I’m back on this main street again. Most of the shops were closed and the traffic was sparse. It’s quiet, unlike the bustling crowd during the day. Wouldn’t it be better to make it a pedestrian paradise only on Saturdays and Sundays? I think so (^_^;). The illuminated storehouse-style building is also lovely.
Starbucks is full of people even at this time. [Hikawa Shrine]. I took a walk here to get hungry before dinner. There are not many people at the shrine at night and it feels eerie (>_<). In the summer, a wind chime festival is held. It is said to be lit up at night.
I'd like to go have dinner soon. Another detour (^▽^;). [Renkeiji Temple]. "Obinzuru-sama." It is said that if worshipers touch its body, they will be cured of illness, and if they touch its head, they will become smarter. I hope your back pain gets better. I also hope that my face improves...( ̄▽ ̄).
The eyes seem to suck you in. [ko Edo Kurari]. This facility was renovated from the building of the former Kagamiyama Sake Brewery, which was founded in 1875, while retaining some of its original features. Kawagoe Festival floats are on display. It was closed at this time, but there was also a souvenir shop inside.
What you can see in the front is ``Showagura'' where you can taste and compare Japanese sake. Our destination is the restaurant ``Hasshutei''. I wanted to eat Beniimo Gozen, but I missed the "limited 10 meals per day" (;´・ω・). Large shrimp tempura bowl 1540 yen. Tempura soba 1650 yen. Both were delicious (*'▽').
Next time will be the 2nd day of my 1 night and 2 day trip to Saitama. I hope this video is of some help to you. If you like it, please click the good button and subscribe to the channel! I would be happy if you could leave your opinions in the comments section.
Thank you for watching until the end. Look forward to next time~(^_^)/~
