広島県廿日市市のパワースポット弥山を紹介します。
世界遺産日本三景の宮島にはロープウェイがあり、弥山にのぼることができます。
まずは元祖揚げもみじの紅葉堂さん本店で揚げもみじを堪能。
大変おいしかったです。
ロープウェイは紅葉谷から榧谷が循環式、榧谷から獅子岩が交走式で
獅子岩から30分歩くと弥山山頂に行くことができます。
少し疲れますが、たまに鹿が現れ一緒に登ってくれるので癒されます。
霊火堂には弘法大師空海が修行に使った火が燃え続けている
「消えずの火」があり、奇跡の炎とされています。
弥山本堂には弥山を開基した弘法大師空海の像があります。
弥山山頂付近には巨石が点在し、古代の祭祀遺跡のような印象を受けます。
高知県土佐清水市の唐人駄場や広島県庄原市の葦嶽山に似たような
雰囲気があります。
巨石には「くぐり岩」や「疥癬岩」などの名前が付けられているものもあります。
ロープウェイの最終便(16時30分)の関係で駆け足で散策しました。
時間に余裕をもって行かれることをおすすめします。
行きのフェリーでは宮島の大鳥居は、水没していましたが、
弥山から下山すると潮が引いており、鳥居のそばまで
歩いて行けるようになっていました。

Introducing Mt. Misen, a power spot in Hatsukaichi City, Hiroshima Prefecture.
Miyajima, one of Japan’s three most scenic spots, is a World Heritage Site, and there is a ropeway that takes you up Mt. Misen.
First, enjoy fried momiji at the original store of Momijido.
It was very delicious.
The ropeway is a circular route from Momijidani to Kayatani, and an intersecting route from Kayatani to Shishiiwa.
You can reach the summit of Mt. Misen by walking for 30 minutes from Shishiiwa.
It’s a little tiring, but sometimes deer will appear and climb with you, so it’s soothing.
The fire that Kobo Daishi Kukai used for his training continues to burn in Reikado.
It has an “unquenchable fire” and is said to be a miraculous flame.
The main hall of Misen has a statue of Kobo Daishi Kukai, who founded Misen.
There are huge stones scattered around the summit of Mt. Misen, giving the impression of an ancient ritual site.
Similar to Tojin Daba Ruin in Tosashimizu City, Kochi Prefecture and Mt. Ashitake in Shobara City, Hiroshima Prefecture.
It has a great atmosphere.
Some of the megaliths have names such as “Kuguri-iwa” and “Scabi-iwa.”
Due to the last ropeway flight (at 4:30 pm), I took a quick walk around.
We recommend that you go with plenty of time.
On the ferry to Miyajima, Miyajima’s Otorii gate was submerged in water.
As we descended from Mt. Misen, the tide was low and we reached the torii gate.
It was possible to walk there.
