疎水百選・長瀬川の桜【桜の季節の八尾散歩②】長瀬川は大和川の付け替えと共に作られた農業用水路で玉串川とともに八尾の桜の名所です。「世界かんがい施設遺産」として登録されています。

Hello. This is the “Chia’s Outing” channel where she travels hard without a car. This time, after visiting Onchi Shrine, I went to see the cherry blossoms along the Nagase River in Yao. This is a continuation of the previous Onchi Shrine video.

There are two famous cherry blossom viewing spots along the Tamakushi River and the Nagase River in Yao, and I would have liked to have gone to see the cherry blossoms along the Tamakushi River near Onchi Station, but even if I walk around a bit,

There are many cherry blossoms in the area. I couldn’t make it, so I went to Kintetsu Yao Station, where I had originally planned to stop, and after asking about it at the tourist information center, I went to the nearby Nagase River.

It seems that the best way to see the cherry blossoms along the Tamakushi River is from Kawachi-Yamamoto Station. (I think I could get there from Onchi Station, but I just didn’t have a good sense of direction.) I

Went to Kuhoji Station, where the cherry blossom trees started, and walked along the river to JR Yao Station. The cherry blossoms that cover the river are beautiful, and the sight of the petals floating in the river as they begin to fall gives it a very picturesque atmosphere.

Onchi Castle Ruins Park was just in full bloom, but here it’s a little earlier and the leaves are coming out. There is a park along the Nagase River, where you can walk for about 3km. Carp are crowded.

It seems that young carp and crucian carp were released into the river during the high growth period, when the water quality deteriorated and the environment was improved. Nowadays, the water quality has improved a lot, and carp are breeding in abundance.

The Nagase River is an agricultural canal that was built approximately 300 years ago when the Yamato River was replaced, and has been selected as one of Japan’s 100 best waterways. After this, as I was walking, I came across a monument with various explanations about the Nagase River and Tamakushi River.

“Yamato River diversion structure – Nagase River, Tamakushi River – The Yamato River was put into service in 1705 (Hoei 2) with the replacement of the “West Yosui-ro (currently Nagase River)” and “East River”. On August 13, 2018, the two canals

“Yamato River Divergence Building” of “Irizui-ro (currently Tamakushi River)” were registered as a World Irrigation Facility Heritage Site. ” Today, there was a cherry blossom festival in the morning. I’m glad the weather was nice.

“Yaohama and Kuhoji Temple The Nagase River was originally the main stream of the Yamato River, and was approximately 200 meters wide in ancient times, and river boats were used to transport people and goods. After the Yamato River was replaced in 1704, the Iji Along the river,

Sword-pointed boats were jointly invested by the people of Yao and Kyuhoji Temple to carry people, rice, wood, etc. to Kyobashi, and were busy transporting annual tax rice and making trips to Osaka, Yodo, etc. This side of Yao

Is called Yao. The beach and the Kuhoji side on the other side were called the pier, and both were places of worship during festivals. The cherry

Blossoms of the Tamakushi River, which I couldn’t go to this time, are said to extend for 5 km, and word of mouth says that the Tamakushi River is more beautiful. I saw this opinion. If you keep going like this, you will come to “Tsukidome”, which seems to branch off from the Tamakushi River.

Nagase River and Tamakushi River are both famous spots for cherry blossoms, but it seems like the locals are enjoying them, so it’s nice to be able to enjoy them in a little-known spot. It is marked as Shigisando and seems to have been a key transportation point.

I came to Osaka Prefectural Yao High School. The Nagase River continues, but there are fewer people and it feels lonely. I could have turned back at this point, but

I remember walking around the JR Yao area and seeing a beautiful park along the river, and I wanted to go there, so I kept walking. This area is the park where I took a walk before when I came to see the Ueda family residence. Annakacho 5-chome Park.

It feels like a place of relaxation surrounded by nature. We walked leisurely for about an hour and a half and enjoyed the cherry blossoms. Yao is very close to Osaka city, and it takes only 10 minutes from Tsuruhashi to Kintetsu Yao.

It’s also a good idea to look for cherry blossom viewing spots that locals enjoy, such as Onchi Castle Ruins Park and along the two rivers, Nagase River and Tamakushi River.

When you cross the JR railroad crossing from the park, you will see the former Ueda family residence, which was the site of the Kaisho mansion in Annaka Shinden, which was developed by replacing the Yamato River.

I previously walked through Yao from Shiki Station and toured the former Ueda family residence, so I would like to introduce it again.

A brick wall remained in front of Yao Station. In front of Yao Station, there used to be a group of brick buildings, including a factory for the former Imperial Silk Company and a warehouse for Dainippon Soko Co., Ltd. Thank you for your viewing. Please rate highly and subscribe to the channel.
