Ferry trip around 5 islands to Tokyo. Sailing from Kozushima Island! Hello! This is Kozushima. I’m going to take the ferry to Tokyo now. Pick-up car from the inn to the port. Kozushima is 180 km south of Tokyo. To Tokyo via 4 islands. It’s an 9-hour ferry trip. Nice weather for the trip.
Arriving at the waiting area. No need to go through boarding procedures. Kozushima is collaborating with this anime. Anyone may play this piano. It’s time to go to wharf. Clear seawater. Mt. Tenjozan, the highest on the island. Fishing boat return to port. Cargo ship leaves port. Embarkation ramp. Forklift to carry. One ship offshore.
Whistle of incoming port. This is the ferry. In service in 2020, 118m long. “Salvia Maru” 180-degree turnaround. Landing on starboard side. Not so big hull. Small turnaround. Throws a line to the wharf. And from the stern. Arrival on time. Departure at 10:30 a.m. Port of call is 30 minutes. Connecting ramp.
Loading and unloading operations begin. Passengers disembark. Geometric wave pattern on the hull. The ferry is being cleaned. The flag representing the “Four Seas.” Similar to the Norwegian flag. Lots of supplies. Supporting life on the island. The cleaning is done. Let’s get on board. Connected to the 4th floor of the ferry.
Information desk is here. Go to the 5th floor. Passenger space is from 2nd to 6th floor. Restaurant on 6th floor. Smoking room. To the outside deck. Collaboration with “SPY x FAMILY.” Stern side view. Sailing operations begin. Rope is hoisted. 10:30 a.m. Departure on time. “Auld lang syne” playing on board.
Kozushima is 19.5 square kilometers in area. Population is 1800. Ferry goes out of port. Stairs to 7th floor. Radar tower and wheelhouse. Let’s go back inside the ferry. Restaurant will open at noon. Take the elevator to the 5th floor. My cabin is a “Special Room.” Booked online for $120.
Take off your shoes here. Large window facing the sea. Two single beds. Tea set, lights, etc. at bedside. Looks very cozy. Comfortable and functional. I can spend my time watching the flowing sea. I can feel at home. View from the window. Air conditioned. Storage next to door. Amenities and indoor clothes. Bathroom.
No bathtub, shower only. We’re almost to the next island. Shikinejima. Area 3.7 square km, population 550. Passengers, staff and a policeman. Throwing a line. Rope connected to the end of the line. Rope to bollard. 11:20 a.m. Arrival on time. Port call time is only 5 minutes. Rushed embarkation and disembarkation.
The wheelchair is assisted by staff. Next destination is Niijima. Only 2 km from Shikinejima. Forklift trucks in action. Sailing. Slowly leaving wharf. The policeman waves too. A fishing boat return to port. It was only a 5 minute port call. But it invites a feeling of travel. Soon after, Niijima.
Area 23.2 square km, population 2300. The island is long and narrow from north to south. Change of direction before landing. Tsunami evacuation tower. Landing on port side. Seems hard to throw if he is right-handed. 11:45 a.m. Arrival on time. Port call time is 10 minutes. Hasty embarkation and disembarkation. Ramp removed.
A policeman helps. Shikinejima in the foreground, Kozushima in the background. Port facilities are under construction. Sailing. Clear skies, nice view. Uninhabited Chinai Island. Flat Shikinejima and mountainous Kozushima. Each island has its own characteristics. The next island, Toshima, is 50 minutes away. Let’s take a look around the ferry.
“SPY x FAMILY” all over the ferry. Various Anya are cute! Luggage storage space. Vending machines. Some microwaves for frozen food. Not many rest areas. Accessible restroom. Shared restroom. Coin-operated lockers and refrigerated lockers. Shared showers $1 for 3 minutes. Toshima is in sight. Volcanic island with an area of 4 square kilometers. Population 300.
Mt. Miyazuka with elevation of 508m. The island has scant flat land. Change of direction. Landing on starboard side. Signal to wharf. Well done, every time. Wet rope must be heavy. One person to the bollard. 12:45 p.m. Arrival on time. Port call time is 5 minutes. Ramp swinging with hull. Staff holding it up.
A policeman also helping. Island policemen are busy. To the police car. Stopped for some reason. Looking at the mountain? Sailing. The police car driving away. Staff waving. Mt. Miyazuka also seeing off. Izu Peninsula to port. And Mt. Fuji. Toshima island is moving away. Izu Oshima to starboard. The trip continues. Let’s have lunch.
Curry rice with fried shrimp, $10. Let’s look at the other cabins. “Special 2nd” $60. Sea from round window. Bunk beds side by side. Looks comfortable enough. “2nd class seat” $40. Good for short-time boarding. “2nd class” $40. Very empty today. Crowded in summer. Accessinle 2nd class room. Blankets for rent are $1.
Toshima, Niijima and Kozushima in the distance. Mt. Fuji can be seen clearly today. Izu Oshima. Area 91 square km, population 7200. Largest island in the Izu Islands. Landing on the starboard side. High-speed boats also arriving and departing. Throws a line. Working with ferry and wharf. 2:10 p.m. Arrival on time.
Port call time is 20 minutes. Lots of containers. Mt. Fuji watches over us. Long line for high-speed boat. Two hours to Tokyo port by boat. High-speed boat only to Izu Oshima. Fishermen. Sailing. Steam whistle. Towing a ramp with a light truck. Mt. Mihara, the highest on the island,
Next is the final destination, Tokyo. Izu Peninsula and Mt. Fuji to port. With the sun at its back, the ferry heads north. In the cabin, time for tea. Mt. Fuji from the window as well. The sun gradually lowers. Boso Peninsula comes into view. The ferry heads for Tokyo Bay.
30 minutes to sunset. Vessels passing by. The restaurant is open after hours. Strong western sun. A screen and curtains on the window. The sun is about to set. The sky turns orange. Numerous vessels. All vessels basking in the setting sun. Long stretch of wake. Mt. Fuji also in the sunset.
The ferry is off the Miura Peninsula. Evening haze all around. A fantastic sight. Silhouette of a cargo ship. A momentary passing. The ferry is in Uraga channel. Large ships limit speed. Ferries also slow down. Many vessels sail slowly. Another ship. The sun sets on the ridge. Nice sunset.
Mt. Fuji is a familiar mountain in Tokyo. I realized that again. Fortress island off Futtsu. Ruins of fortifications defending Tokyo Bay. Another fortress island. The lighthouse is still active. The trip will soon be over. The ferry is off Yokosuka. It’s time to say goodbye to Mt. Fuji. The sun has set.
Looking up at the sky… The waxing moon is in the south. The restaurant again. Pork cubes rice bowl, $10. The ferry is off Haneda. Airplanes takes off and lands. The sky and the sea are crowded. Soon to be Tokyo port. Container terminal at Oi. Tokyo Tower and Rainbow Bridge. Daiba to starboard.
Passing Rainbow Bridge. I like passing through bridges on ferries. Skyscrapers in Tokyo. One seabird. Night view on the sea. Tokyo Tower again. Monument of mast of sailing ship. Takeshiba Passenger Terminal. Tsukiji Bridge and Tokyo Sky Tree. Change of direction before landing. Landing on starboard side. Last line throw of the trip.
Their work is always excellent! They support the voyage. Arriving on time. Let’s disembark. Connect boarding bridge. Nice cabin. To the disembarkation exit. Thanks to the staff. “Salvia Maru” takes a brief rest. Next sailing is at 10:00 p.m. From the terminal to the central square. Monument seen from ferry. Nearest station is Hamamatsucho station.
And Takeshiba station. Waiting area is spacious. Takeshiba station is a 1-minute walk. Thank you for watching! See you in the next video. Subscribe, comment and like. Thank you very much! At Takeshiba station, goodbye.

This trip was so interesting. Beautiful Islands and ocean. Loved seeing Mt Fuji and the lovely sun set. Your room was worth the money. Beautiful ferry. Another excellent video
From Queensland Australia ❤
Japan is definitely on my bucket list because you, my friend, had an amazing time there. I love your videos, so please be safe and enjoy yourself.❤❤
Danke 👌👌🌆🍹🍹
What beautiful weather for your your journey. The ocean water is so clear and inviting. I was intrigued by the tsunami tower. What a wonderful structure for those who can't escape to higher ground in an emergency. Safe travels.
Thank you very much for a fantastic trip The sunset was incredibly beautiful🤗 Mount Fuji is iconic and majestatic😍I'm glad you had a comfortable room and calm sea😀And boarding the ferry up the rickety ramp must be exciting for people unaccustomed to it😲
nice room!
stunning sunset 2
A stunning trip in the most beautiful land I have Never seen. But you do, and my oh my you do it beautifully. Thanks, Arigato beaucoup
The sexualization of schoolgirls is strictly taboo in most countries, but not Japan. They even promote it at ferry terminals. I find that very odd.
Sou do Brasil e amei este canal!!!!!! Sou aventureiro no Brasil vivo viajando!!!!!🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
If Toshima island volcano erupted, how quick could they evacuate them? When did it erupt last? Scenery was beautiful. Thank- you.
A wonderful video! Love all the island hopping.
