Hello, this is Yuyu Tabi couple. Continuing from last time, we will be visiting tourist spots around Lake Ashi in Hakone, a popular tourist destination in Kanagawa Prefecture. I decided to visit the three most powerful power spots in Hakone called “Hakone Sansha Mairi” and make a plan to boost your luck!
I would be happy if you could use it as a reference for your Hakone trip. Video starts! good morning! This is the second day of my Hakone trip. First thing in the morning, I came to Hakone Shrine. The air is delicious. Have you ever been to Hakone Shrine? I wonder if there is.
This is the first time for both of us to visit Hakone Shrine. From the parking lot, go down to the lake. You can see the “Heiwa Torii” built on Lake Ashi up close. Itsukushima shrine? Itsukushima Shrine is located far from land, but the torii gate here is located near a lake.
This torii gate was built in 1952 to commemorate Japan’s independence through the signing of a peace treaty. The board above the torii gate has the word “peace” written on it, and can be seen from a sightseeing boat on Lake Ashi.
You probably won’t be able to see it unless you have very good eyesight. It is a popular photo spot and there is often a line to take pictures. We will give up on taking pictures! Head to the main shrine of Hakone Shrine.
From the Heiwa Torii gate, climb 89 stone steps to the main shrine. These 89 stone steps are called the Akuotoshi Stairs. So even now, every time I climb one step, the evil spirits are falling one by one. Hakone Shrine. There are still more stairs.
Well, I guess this is the 89th stage of evil otoshi. Although I was out of breath, I arrived at the main shrine. It is a splendid main shrine. Hakone Shrine is a major power spot in Hakone. Are you feeling empowered? I feel quite powerful here.
This shrine is said to be beneficial in many ways, including wish fulfillment, protection of victory, and matchmaking. Let’s go express our gratitude to God. I’m going to pray. I will go to Kuzuryu Shrine next to Hakone Shrine.
It has benefits such as traffic safety, fulfillment of wishes, good luck, warding off evil spirits, and matchmaking. A nine-headed dragon is depicted on the ceiling of the Shingu Worship Hall. Ryujin Suisha. It is said that if you put it in your mouth, it will purify impurities and improve your luck.
Many people take home the natural water as a blessing. Empty plastic bottles are sold at the temple. In the precincts, there is a sacred tree called “Asansugi” that is over 1000 years old.
The root part is forked into two, which is reminiscent of a pregnant woman, so it has become a place to pray for prosperity and safe childbirth. It seems that Minamoto no Yoritomo also prayed for the safe delivery of his wife Masako Hojo.
Lately, I’ve been visiting a lot of places connected to Minamoto no Yoritomo. Kamakura or something. I came to a rest area called “Gongen Karamemochi” in the precincts of Hakone Shrine. It is a popular spot to take a break after visiting the shrine.
What you want to eat at this restaurant is “Gongen Karamemochi”, which is also the name of the restaurant. It is a freshly made mochi made every morning early in the morning, using only carefully selected mochi rice and sacred water. What flavor should I have? Soybean flour, sesame seeds, and seaweed.
There are too many types of food I want to eat. Since I wanted to try all 5 flavors, I chose 5 colors of mochi. Five flavors: grated, seaweed, sesame, kinako, and red bean paste. Because the mochi is freshly made, it is very chewy. Wow, that’s great! Kinako is delicious.
Please let me know what you think of the mochi, not just the kinako. The mochi is warm and has a strong elasticity. The sesame flavor is so delicious! Only sesame seeds? It’s sesame sugar. Well then, it’s sweet. Personally, I’m curious about “oroshi”. Delicious, delicious. I suddenly started writing sloppy food reports. (LOL)
The grated flavor is salty, so eating it alternately with sweet mochi will bring out the deliciousness. The 5 color mochi has the best balance. Sesame flavor, delicious! The sesame flavor is by far the most delicious! A resort spot near Lake Ashi that combines nature, beauty, and food.
There are art museums and restaurants where you can eat authentic pizza. The art museum has a shop attached to it. There were a lot of stylish goods, so I think it would be fun to take a look while waiting at the restaurant.
For lunch, we will eat at “La Terrazza Ashinoko” on Ashinoko Terrace. You can enjoy 30 types of Neapolitan pizza baked in an authentic pizza oven while looking out at Lake Ashi from inside the store, which is entirely made of glass. I ordered the classic margherita. Mozzarella cheese is so delicious! !
The pizza dough is chewy, authentic and delicious. The part that is just the dough without the sauce is also delicious. Pizza baked in a pizza oven is definitely delicious. The quality of the fabric is clearly good. Also, I’m glad that this restaurant has many types of pizza. Ah, a ship.
Another good point is that you can eat while looking at the scenery of Lake Ashi. Thank you for the meal! Italian food with a spectacular view of Lake Ashi was amazing. After lunch, we will take a pleasure boat on Lake Ashi.
The Lake Ashinoko Pleasure Boat is a pleasure boat with a capacity of 700 people that connects Moto-Hakone Port, Hakone Sekisho Ato Port, and Hakoneen Port. We boarded the train from Moto-Hakone Port. There are approximately one train per hour, so we recommend checking the operating times before boarding.
At Lake Ashi, you can ride a cruise ship modeled after a pirate ship. Each route is different, so it is recommended that you decide which boat to take depending on where you want to go. thank you. This is how you can see Mt. Fuji.
Unfortunately, I couldn’t see Mt. Fuji because of the clouds. Now let’s board the ship. Where should we go on the ship? I want to see the view, so let’s go to the rooftop for now. Oh, that feels good. The rooftop deck is spacious and very comfortable.
This torii is the “Torii of Peace” at Hakone Shrine, which I went to this morning. Oh, you can see a little bit of Mt. Fuji! Hakoneen is a resort complex managed by Prince Hotels. There is a botanical garden, an aquarium, and a shopping mall.
We will ride the ropeway a little bit uphill from Hakoneen Port. Ride the Hakone Komagatake Ropeway and head to the power spot near the summit. Round trip fare is 1800 yen. I was with a tour group from overseas, so it was crowded.
Komagatake Ropeway is a ropeway that connects Hakone-en to the summit of Mt. Komagatake with a total length of 1,783m in about 7 minutes. You can clearly see Lake Ashi, which you just passed by boat. Arrived at the mountaintop! Luckily the clouds cleared. Isn’t that Mt. Fuji?
From the summit station, you can see the entire Lake Ashi. If there are no clouds, you can even see Mt. Fuji. I will go to the main shrine of Hakone Shrine, which can be seen at the top of the mountain.
Since this is a mountain road, the footing is not paved, so please be careful when walking. As we headed towards the summit, visibility became poor. It feels like I’m being invited to another world. Arrived at Hakone Motomiya !
Komagatake, where Hakone Motomiya is located, is a place where mountain worship has been practiced since ancient times, with the sacred mountain as the object of worship. The current shrine building was built in 1964 as the former shrine of Hakone Shrine.
Since the shrine is dedicated to the sacred mountain, there is no main hall, only a worship hall. There are benefits such as fulfillment in love, traffic safety, disaster prevention, and fulfillment of wishes. Omikuji from Hakone Shrine. Seino. Sueyoshi. It’s the same Sueyoshi.
When I returned to the ropeway platform, the clouds had cleared. Beautiful scenery. On the ropeway on the way back, we were able to see Mt. Fuji. We arrived at the third port, Hakone Sekisho Ato Port. There are many foreign tourists. There are buildings that remind you of good old Japan.
There was a shop that looked interesting, so I decided to stop by. Hakone’s traditional craft “Yosegi Zaiku” This is called a “secret box”, and it is shaped like a puzzle and cannot be opened unless you move it according to the steps. This is surprisingly difficult.
Marquetry is popular as a souvenir and is sold in many places. If you come to Hakone, be sure to check it out. Hakone Sekisho, 500 yen for adults. Enter the Hakone Sekisho ruins.
This is a spot where the Hakone Checkpoint, established by the Tokugawa shogunate on the Tokaido road, has been completely restored to its appearance in the late Edo period.
Of the more than 50 checkpoints that existed throughout the country during the Edo period, this is the only checkpoint in Japan that has been completely restored to its original appearance. You can learn and enjoy the culture of the Edo period from various perspectives.
You can also visit the museum with the admission fee to Hakone Sekisho, so if you want to know more about the history, please go there. The “Hakone Ekiden Outbound Goal” is located a short walk from the Hakone Sekisho Ruins. I was surprised to see a signboard suddenly appear on a small road.
The runner turns from the left and finishes here. I participated in track and field in middle school and high school. When I graduated from elementary school, I announced my future plans, and at that time I said I would participate in the Hakone Ekiden. It didn’t come true at all.
Hakone Ekiden is an amazing tournament where only top athletes can participate. I’ll score a goal as a commemoration. I was feeling hungry, so I went to a cafe located in a modern building called Chaya Honjinwawaya. The interior of the store is an open and stylish space.
A spectacular view of Lake Ashi spreads out in front of you. From lunch menus to authentic sweets, we have a menu that will whet your appetite. I ordered the most popular “Shichifuku Dango”. Seven types of dango: plain, matcha, pumpkin, red sweet potato, cherry, black sesame, and mugwort.
It is grilled and eaten on a special charcoal grill. It comes with mitarashi, red bean paste, and grated soy sauce, so you can customize it to your liking. It smells like it’s burning. Oh, it looks delicious! A mysterious bun. It was grilled nicely. Eat with red bean paste.
It’s freshly baked, so it’s crispy on the outside and chewy on the inside. Thank you for the meal! We will sit on a bench near Lake Ashi until the twilight arrives on the way home. I returned to the former Hakone Port. How many hours has it been since you returned to this port?
We went around Lake Ashi for 4 hours, including sightseeing at each port. Finally, we will drive to a day trip to a hot spring. At the end of our trip, we decided to go to a hot spring, so we came to a day trip hot spring facility called Hakone Yuryo.
This is a large-scale hot spring facility designed in the image of an old folk house-style Satoyama hot spring. It’s a really good atmosphere. This is a hot spring facility for day trips only. The price is 1900 yen for adults. There is a restaurant inside the facility, so you can relax.
This is the perfect facility to end your trip. The open-air bath is like this, and you can enjoy the hot spring while looking at the great nature of Satoyama. The grounds are large, so you can relax and soak in the hot springs.
There is also a sauna, so you can relax while looking at the scenery of Satoyama. Finally, we ended our trip by taking a bath in the hot springs here. See you then. How did you like the sightseeing plan around Lake Ashi in Hakone?
If you would like to know about the sightseeing plan for Hakone for 1 night and 2 days, please refer to the video for the first day. See you again on our next trip. If you found this video helpful, please give it a high rating and subscribe to the channel.
