三陸 釜石~宮古 震災に襲われた街の素晴らしい観光地

SANRIKU There are many interesting unknown places on the Sanriku coast in Iwate Prefecture, a city that was hit by a magnitude 9.0 earthquake . A place that looks like nothing on a map suddenly turns out to be spectacular, or you get lost and suddenly come across a majestic place.

This time I will be traveling around Sanriku on a bit of an adventure. Kirikiri became popular in the novel “Kirikirijin” by Hisashi Inoue. It means “white sand beach” in the Ainu language, and the Kirikiri coast has a beautiful white sand beach and is visited by many people during the summer season.

This shrine can be seen from Kirikiri Beach, which is crowded with beachgoers . A mysterious place that can only be reached at low tide.

By this time, it was already a little past low tide, so I had a hard time getting there. In hindsight, I became scared that there was a risk of not being able to return home. The Sanriku sea is incredibly transparent. On sunny days, the sea shines a wonderful deep blue.

Although everything would have been washed away in the earthquake, the torii has already been beautifully restored, giving it a somewhat exotic appearance. Without asking anything, I put my hands together and returned home. 〒028-1101 32, Kiriri, Otsuchi-machi, Kamimei-gun, Iwate Prefecture

In a beautiful garden-like area, a telephone booth stands alone. This is a telephone booth that appears in the movie “Kaze no Denwa.”

It was not built for the setting of the movie, but was set up so that survivors could convey their feelings to their families who lost their lives in the earthquake on the wind.A telephone line was connected inside the telephone booth

. There is a “Wind Phone,” a black phone with a rotary dial, and a notebook, so visitors can communicate their feelings to the deceased over the phone or write down their feelings in the notebook. The following is written on the side of the phone:

The wind phone speaks from your heart. Close your eyes quietly and listen carefully. If you hear the sound of the wind, the waves, or the chirping of birds, please tell me your feelings. Just like the NHK puppet show ”

Hyokkori Gourd Island.” Horai Island. It is said that the island in the program was actually modeled after. There is a shrine dedicated to Benzaiten, who is said to bring blessings to the fishing industry, so the locals call it Bentenjima. The distance

From the coast to Horaijima is approximately It is connected by a 340m embankment. The wind was so strong that day that I could see Hyokkori Gourd Island in the distance, which was a bit scary. Bandage Island is a symbol of Otsuchi Town and offers such a beautiful view on a clear day

. It reminds me of the lyrics from that TV show where the lighthouse that was destroyed by the earthquake was revived by the hands of the townspeople… “But we won’t give up, we don’t want to cry, let’s laugh.”

Camp where you can hear the sound of the waves. The beach is right next to the beach, so it’s recommended for families who want to go swimming and camping.

In addition to auto camping, we also have experience programs such as SUP, sea kayaking, and snorkeling, and there is also a rugby field nearby.Today, we will try cooking, which is rare. Make Mexican-style hamburger stew. Add a can of tomatoes to the hamburger and beans, and

Add a suitable amount of salt and seasoning. Isn’t there a lot of salt? I ‘m sure it will be okay if I add some cheese to the “chili con carne base” I found at Yamaya! Cheers! The hamburger steak is also chant Mexican-style and delicious. Finally, it’s pouring outside.

The Nehama area was severely damaged by the Great East Japan Earthquake. This renovated place opened on August 8, 2019. This facility was rebuilt with the efforts of local people. Thank you very much.

It’s already time for bed. Roll out the bed and get ready. This time I modified it so that the bed can be pulled out. We expanded the width to accommodate chairs, and modified the lid so that it can slide sideways. The legs come forward and become a bed.

We board the Zappa boat, which we were looking forward to . Jodogahama was named after Reikyo Ryuko (died 1727), the seventh head of Joanji Temple, Mt. Miyako. It is said that the name was derived from the impression that “It’s just like the Pure Land of Paradise.”

Jodogahama Beach, located in the center of Sanriku Fukko National Park and Sanriku Geopark, is a representative scenic spot in Miyako. The Hachinohe hole, also known as the “Blue Cave” on the Rikuchu coast, was named after the legend that it extends all the way to Hachinohe City in Aomori Prefecture.A

Dog that went into this hole was found in Hachinohe City several years later. Therefore, this hole continued all the way to Hachinohe, and came to be called the Hachinohe hole. Jodogahama Beach has a promenade, so you can take a walk while admiring the beautiful sea. The sea water is really clear and beautiful.

If you take the elevator in the Jodogahama Visitor Center to the bottom floor and go down the stairs, you will be able to go directly to the promenade along the coast. You will see the sightseeing boat pier immediately. If you continue

Walking and go through the tunnel, you will reach the Sappa boat pier. If you continue walking while admiring the spectacular scenery along the coastline such as Toishi Beach, you will arrive at Jodogahama Beach in about 10 minutes. There

Are no ups and downs, so it is an easy walk, so it was a very pleasant promenade. It’s a small market, not as flashy as Hachinohe, but all the fish on display look fresh and delicious. The prices are not as high as tourist markets, and it feels like a market for local residents. The

Origin of this market was the opening of a store on a street under the eaves of Tamachi during the difficult times after the end of the war . The number has expanded and the current market has been created. It reopened a month after the earthquake and cheered up the residents.

New Japan Pro-Wrestling once held a revival show in front of the market. I sent a lot of oysters to my relatives! The oyster party must be in full swing by now. We bought squid and made “shiokara”. This market may be the best ever. I want to visit again.

Everyone, please come and visit Sanriku. In addition to the lessons learned from the earthquake, there are many wonderful sightseeing spots.
