【温泉旅館宿泊記】箱根を代表する名宿強羅花壇に宿泊したので詳細レビューします【露天風呂付き離れ泉心】

This time, I came to my favorite place, Hakone, for the first time in a while. The GORA area is lined with luxury hot spring inns. The hot spring inn where we will be staying this time is right next to the Hakone Tozan Railway “GORA” station… just across a special railroad crossing.

As you go down the hill, you will see several buildings. It is a very famous and long-established inn that I have always dreamed of visiting someday. This is a former imperial villa located in a lush national park.

Since I visited at the end of the year, KADOMATSU was erected to welcome the New Year. Gora flower bed. Although we arrived a little early, we were welcomed very warmly. When I walked through the beautifully designed approach and went inside, I was surprised to find that it was an unexpectedly open space.

The lobby is filled with plenty of light and allows you to enjoy the natural environment outside. Founded in 1952, it is also a member of Relais & Châteaux. Is beautiful. The coffered ceiling and glossy floor are made from tiles from Sado. We were also shown around the iconic Gora flower bed.

It is a 120m glass colonnade. It’s amazing! I’ll try to come and see it later. The building, which was once a villa for the imperial family, is still used as a “Kaiseki Kadan” restaurant. I’m heading there. It was built in the early Showa period, and apparently non-guests can also eat here.

The color of the wood on the floor is nice. It seems that you can prepare a welcome drink in this private room. I received some Japanese chestnut sweets made by Chimoto, a famous Japanese sweets shop in Hakone. We will guide you to our room ♪ This time, we reserved a “separate” room.

Proceed to the back of the magnificent garden, which is approximately 30,000 square meters of Gora flower beds. Various plants are pleasing to the eye. There are also lanterns and a pond. Each room has a different design, and our “annex” is apparently located at the very back of this garden.

A building came into view at the far end of the garden. This is our room today. It’s a solid house! This outbuilding is separate and distanced from other guests. It has a wonderful appearance that makes you want to stay here. There is also a nice pine tree here.

This annex is a guest room named “Izumishin”. Expectations are high. Let’s go inside. excuse me for disturbing you. The entrance hall has an L-shaped ceremony table, and there is space to put your luggage at the back. When I turned towards my room, I found an open-air bath in the garden! There is a vestibule in the front and a main room in the back.

Wonderful! This is the style of a Japanese hot spring inn. There is a 12 tatami main room, an alcove and a wide veranda, and it is the best with tatami, shoji, and transom! You can see the open-air bath♪ How about the view? It has a wide veranda and looks comfortable.

You can see the mountains of Hakone. The capital letters of Mt. Myojogatake are clearly visible. There are various plants planted in the garden, and there is an open-air bath in the middle! The wide veranda has tatami flooring, large chairs, and casual flower arrangements.

Let’s turn around and look at Honma. It seems that it was renovated about 10 years ago. It’s a big TV. This is a 4K smart TV. There are also useful goods such as Bluetooth speakers and chargers. This is the Shoin part. The wonderful decorative shoji screens catch your eye.

Painted boxes are lined up. There was a notepad on the left. When I opened the red one, there was a notepaper inside. For those who are black, there are calligraphy tools such as brushes and ink!

Normally, meals are served in the room, but guests in this annex will have dinner and breakfast in a private dining room, and futons will be prepared for them between meals. This is what the tokonoma looks like. The hanging scroll has the word “Tsuru” written on it and a gorgeous chrysanthemum.

Two sets of yukata are prepared on the rug. The person in charge prepared them according to your height. We also have drawstring purses with logos and tabi socks. We also have jackets with padding! There was also a muffler with a logo in the storage!

There is such a space in the front room. Is it a minibar? All kinds of things are lined up neatly. FUJI mineral water in paper pack. I found a cute little tea chest. There is a tea set inside. Inside the tea caddy is green tea in a tea bag.

You can also drink coffee with Nespresso. Two types of capsules are available, including decaffeinated. Now, what’s inside? It’s a refrigerator! Includes tea, juice, and beer. You can have these for free♪ Next to them are C&S, glasses, bottle openers, etc. It’s lined up nicely and feels good.

There is a window next to the minibar that allows you to take a bath. This is an open-air bath with natural hot spring water that overlooks the mountains of Hakone. It is made of black granite and has a special atmosphere. The adjoining bathroom also has a sweeping window,

From which you can also access the open-air bath. Having such a spacious private space is a great way to truly relax. It’s a truly luxurious environment. There are three hot springs in Gora Kadan, two of which are private hot springs that come from within the garden.

These are plants that can be enjoyed throughout the seasons. Behind the deck is a moss-covered garden with no sign of anyone. The spring quality is a colorless, transparent, weakly alkaline simple hot spring. There is a shower room right next to it. Although it is compact, it is very clean and easy to use.

Original shampoos are provided. The ingredients are fragrance-free, color-free, and mineral oil-free. It has a citrus scent. There seems to be a wash basin in the back. It’s a bright, spacious, and very clean space. The Tsunayo ceiling is wonderful. This is what the feet look like. The bamboo chair is cute.

The mirror is lighted and has a cute three-dimensional design. There are glasses and magnifying glasses on the left and right. I found a two-tiered wooden box. The Gora Kadan logo is engraved on the lid. When you open it,

You’ll see that each tier contains a slightly different item. Seems to be for men and women. “SENSAI” is Kanebo’s overseas brand. The top-of-the-line skin care “UTM” series is now available! It’s a very expensive product, so I’m glad I was able to try it ♪

We also have a “Fukubisui” series that uses medicinal herbs such as mugwort and kumazasa. The dryer is from Panasonic. Hair irons are also provided from the beginning. When I turned around, I saw towels and towel warmers. The towel also has a large logo on it. Is this a restroom?

It is spacious, automatically opens and closes, and has a washlet. There are flower arrangements in the bathroom too, which is nice. It looks like you can spend a luxurious time surrounded by nature, hot springs, and tranquility. I liked the atmosphere so much that I wanted to stay in other rooms in other seasons.

Finally, I will share the room service alcohol menu ♪ Hard-to-find wines and wines from KENZO Estate. There are a lot of things and it’s interesting. As expected of Gora flower bed. The sake lineup is also interesting. I would like to spend a relaxing time here.

Meanwhile, Mr. Monjiro is taking a walk around the inn ♪ The well-kept trees and cobblestone pavement. It creates a feeling of elation when you visit. This is a villa built by Imperial Prince Kaninnomiya Zahito to escape the summer heat. The beautiful gate is decorated with a dog arrow.

The name of the inn is carved into a large rock. At the entrance, the combined chrysanthemum pattern and moss-covered water bowl are also lovely. Apparently there is only one facility in Japan that is a member of Relais & Châteaux.

We met up with Lily and the people at the inn and headed to the portico! The glass doors on both sides can be left open. It lets in a lot of light. It is a truly beautiful place, drawn by the luster of the tiles.

There is also tile art on the side, which is pleasing to the eye. It seems that you will be given a special tour of facilities such as the large public bath♪ If you go to the side from the portico, you will find the large public bath. It’s already a good atmosphere.

There are flower arrangements everywhere, and it’s amazing. If you go to the back, you will find a spacious changing room. The atmosphere is simple and sophisticated. A separate wash basin and toiletries are provided. Chilled water and barley tea are available. Now, go to the public bath.

It’s spacious! The ceiling is high and the clean design gives it a classy feel. You can see an open-air bath that looks like a painting cut out in a picture frame. It’s a contrast to the simple indoor bath, and will lift your mood. The round indoor bath is very spacious and seems relaxing.

There are also a sufficient number of washrooms. Original shampoo is also available here. You will be healed by the light shining in and the sparkle of the water. To a very beautiful open-air bath. It is a garden-style rock bath, and you will be surrounded by the beauty typical of Japan.

You will fall in love with the scenery created by the steam and trees. I want to come here even after taking a bath in my room! The various trees seem to show us the different colors of the four seasons. By the way, there is a sauna in both the men’s and women’s baths♪

Let’s take a look at the other bath as well! The men’s and women’s baths are switched during the night. The structure is almost the same, but the indoor bath here is square, and the open-air bath looks like this. It’s a wonderful large public bath.

If you continue along the portico, the glass wall will disappear. Basking in the wind, scents, and sounds of nature, walk to the end and you’ll find a large terrace called “Tsukimidai.” You can see the Daimonji Myojogatake from here as well. That place is called “Salon Seiran”. I think I’ll stop by later.

There is a path beside the portico, and as you walk forward, you will find yourself in this beautiful world. It is a Sukiya style building. I went inside and was surprised. This is a family bath (private bath)! It’s very nice here too!

It is a rock bath with a garden and a natural source. It seems that you can make a reservation and use it for free. There is a steam sauna and a washing area. Towels and amenities are also provided, so you can visit without bringing anything.

There is also a nice building next to it. A space with a wash basin and shower room. Towels, water, and special clothes are provided. If you go to the back, you will find a bedrock bath! It’s very spacious and heats up slowly. There are a variety of facilities available.

I really liked the view before I got here. If you look closely, you can see stylish onigawara. Returning to the portico, I take a look at the shops♪ There are a lot of stylish pottery and folk crafts carefully selected by Gora Kadan. You can also purchase original goods, dried fish, and

Skin care products provided in your room. Speaking of Hakone, it is marquetry. There are various items lined up and you’ll want them ♪ I bought a lot of things ♡ Opposite the shop and in front of the portico is the “Lounge Hanakage”.

This is also elegant and nice. It is located on the slope of a mountain, so the view is attractive. I had tea with ginger. You can relax and enjoy the scenery of each season. Here you can enjoy a cafe menu and even alcoholic beverages at night ♪

It’s even more extensive than the room service menu in your room. We found the best menu♪ We have a wide selection of Japanese and overseas whiskies. We also have spirits and shochu. There are also snacks. Champagne, wine. The lineup is good and gives an impressive impression.

Let’s go to the salon between the lounge and the moon viewing platform. It seems that a pottery exhibition is being held. There is a basin between the salon and the portico. Various facilities are connected around the portico. This is what it looks like when you enter “Salon Seiran” .

An exhibition was being held in the space in front. All of them have good taste and are lovely. When you go to the back, you’ll find a high-tech massage chair. At the very back is the library. Books and magazines are available.

This is the library seen from the moon viewing platform. The scenery is also great. You can see the mountains of Hakone from here, and you can see a wonderful dry landscape garden below! Two new guest rooms opened a few years ago are located right in front of this garden.

This is a comfortable salon♪ There is a wellness area on the first floor of the main building. First of all, there is a very large pool. It can be used free of charge throughout the year, and rental swimsuits are also available. There’s also a nice jacuzzi like this outside ♪

I never thought a long-established inn would have such a big pool! There is also a hammam next to the pool. Additionally, there are other facilities like this. This is the spa salon “KADAN SPA”. It seems that this place was also relocated and renovated a few years ago. Clean and spacious treatment room.

Enjoy hot springs and delicacies, and get your care done here. It’s the best plan. There is also a spacious and well-equipped fitness gym. The above was a share of the facilities within the facility. As I was relaxing in the open-air bath in my room, night fell.

The hostess came to pick me up before dinner time! We walked through the illuminated garden and arrived at the restaurant for us. Since our rooms are far apart, there is a separate dining area near the kitchen. I arrived at the main building. The quiet atmosphere at night is the best.

Most of the other rooms are for in-room dining, so no one is there at this time. From the portico, I took a bright red elevator and arrived at the floor I was guided to. The elevator hall is also nice. Go to a private dining room. very beautiful!

When you go to the back, you will see a room like this. excited. Here is the menu. It looks very delicious and I have high expectations. An appetizer appeared and plum wine was poured into the cup.

When I opened the lid, I found tofu with yuba and ginkgo nuts. There are chestnuts and shrimp inside. Next came the elegant hassun. It looks very delicious. The white one is pufferfish sushi. The braised duck loin is also juicy.

The dipping sauce has a light taste, but the soup stock has a strong effect. For alcohol, I chose draft beer. This is Whiteberg. Mr. Monjiro appeared in a wonderful outfit buried in the ice of “Hokuyuki”. It has a pleasant richness and sharpness, and is delicious enough that you won’t get tired of it.

What appeared in a stylish bowl was a pure white soup perfect for winter. The large Matsuba crab is filled with Japanese mandarin, giving you the gorgeous flavor of the crab. The sashimi has arrived. Bluefin tuna, sea bream, and amberjack are served in a simple and tasteful bowl.

The rich sweetness will make you happy. Next was salt-grilled red bean sprouts in an arabesque-patterned bowl. The fat is clear and high-quality, and the meat is nice and delicious! What appeared in a bowl of bright flower arabesque was the simmered dish.

Each piece is filled with great skill and makes you want to applaud. The meat has arrived! It is a fillet of wagyu beef coated with kudzu and grilled. The umami is locked in with the kudzu, giving it a rich flavor. The garnishes and fresh pepper are also exquisite.

Freshly cooked rice also arrived. This is lotus root rice. The steam and aroma are a treat. The texture is fun and the taste is elegant. Red soup stock and pickles also appeared. There are a lot of fine nameko mushrooms in there. Lastly, we had seasonal fruits and tea. Thank you for the meal.

It was a wonderful meal, all made with good ingredients and carefully prepared. The overall atmosphere is friendly and I’m very satisfied! After eating, head to your room while enjoying the quiet interior of the hotel. Winter nights in Hakone can get cold, but thanks to the padded haori and scarf, I stay warm.

I’ve become so attached to this room that I can’t help but say “I’m home!” When he entered the room, he had transformed into his night form. The futons were spread out, the curtains were drawn, the lanterns were lit, and the towels in the bath were changed.

A new yukata was also prepared, and items like this were prepared on the low table ♡ New water and glasses were prepared for easy access. We also have original snacks with patterns that match the season. The lotus root rice that I couldn’t finish was made into rice balls ♡ It was

Beautifully arranged and I also had tea. I was very impressed with the detailed attention to detail. I was a little drunk and in a good mood, so I went to the open-air bath for the third time♪ There’s nothing like soaking in a hot spring in the cold air. good night.

Good morning! I woke up earlier than the sun. I immediately took a bath and enjoyed watching the colors of the sky change. The privilege of being an early riser is being able to see this fleeting sight. Steam illuminated by the morning sun, mountains and trees shining golden.

I get ready and head out for breakfast♪ When I open the front door, I see this scene. The energy of the morning sun loosens the cold air. I am elated by the expressions and colors of light and shadow that are unique to the moment.

I’m glad I chose the only room that allowed me to fully enjoy this courtyard. Breakfast is served at the same restaurant as dinner. I’m heading there for a morning walk. What does this garden look like when the green leaves grow thick or when the leaves turn autumn? I would like to visit again.

The main building and the former Kaninnomiya villa. When you enter the main building, you can see the morning sun shining through the glass doors, creating a very refreshing atmosphere. It gets a lot of light, shines, and lifts your mood. Take the elevator next to the portico and head to the restaurant.

There is also Karesansui here! The harmony with the modern building design is interesting. When you enter the room, various things are already prepared for you. For breakfast, you can choose Japanese or Western food. I will tell you at dinner the night before. This time, I ordered one meal each.

Warm plum tea and towels are provided, as well as orange juice. This is homemade tofu. It has a strong soybean flavor, has a good texture, and is very delicious. You can add soy sauce, salt, salted kelp, bonito flakes, etc. to your taste. There are also pickles and furikake made with bonito flakes.

What’s inside? There were side dishes such as fried eggs and grated whitebait. The tamagoyaki is sweet and the grated whitebait is mixed with seaweed. This is Western food. It’s completely different from Japanese food.

There are a lot of things to go with bread ♪ The bowls are cute and will make you feel good. Tomato salad, yogurt, prunes, cereal. For Japanese food, you can choose fish, and I chose open horse mackerel. It’s very nice and sturdy! It also comes with mentaiko.

Miso soup has a lot of green flavor. The thermal box contains seaweed and has a good flavor. Warm boiled food was brought to us. The gentle seasoning is soothing. This is freshly cooked rice. It’s sweet and delicious. There are many refills in the bowl.

The opening of the horse mackerel was very delicious and I liked it, so I would like to buy it at the store on the way home! For Western food, you can choose egg dishes such as fried eggs or boiled eggs, so I ordered an omelet. As you can see, it’s perfectly cooked.

Sweet and rich corn cream soup. Three types of warm bread arrived. In addition, fruits are available, and Western food is also very fulfilling.

Overall, I was very satisfied with the light flavor that I enjoyed in the morning, the high quality, and the fact that I was able to enjoy a variety of small portions of the menu. Breakfast is also perfect. The content is amazing.

While I was out for breakfast, my futon had been put away and my towels changed. I’m going to take a hot spring again. The sun was completely overhead and it was time to check out. When the departure time approaches, they will come to your room to pick you up and carry your luggage.

I am deeply moved by how they casually took care of me one step ahead in every situation. Gora Onsen is famous as one of Japan’s leading inns. When you actually stay there, you’ll be satisfied with its wonderful reputation.

The fresh flowers that decorate every part of the hotel and the plants in the garden are tasteful and pleasing to the eye. It was a really good stay. I don’t want to go home. I finish paying the bill, regretting my departure. I received an Arimatsu Shibori eco bag as a souvenir.

It was an inn where I was satisfied with everything: hospitality, personality, facilities, and delicious food. Return to daily life as you take a beautiful approach. When should I come next time? Which room should I stay in? My enjoyment has increased due to my encounter with a wonderful inn.

The staff are honest, incredibly resourceful, and have great smiles. It was a stay that felt like I had seen the essence of a Japanese hot spring inn. Thank you for watching till the end! Where should I go next? That’s it for Lily♪
