This is a superconducting linear experimental line, currently being tested in Yamanashi Prefecture, and construction has begun between Tokyo and Nagoya. When the Linear Chuo Shinkansen opens, it will connect Tokyo to Osaka in one hour each way, with a maximum speed of 500km/h.

Local trains only run 1.5 round trips a day between Saeki and Nobeoka on the Nippo Main Line. In particular, the outbound train is the last local train that leaves Saeki Station after 6 a.m., and is also known as the “Sotaro Goe” by Seishun 18 Kippu users.
