Trichy to Delhi TRAVEL VLOG | Tour, Food, Sceneries

This is my house in Tiruchirappalli, Tamil Nadu and these are my two cars, Tata Tigor (black) and Tata Nano (white). We are about to start our 3,000 kilometers road trip with Tata Tigor car. For your information, in the southern state of Tamil Nadu, most of houses have stairs outside the house.

The house in my neighbourhood also has stairs from outside. And most of houses in the colony too have stairs from outside for going to first floor. We have now packed all our luggage in boot of the Tata Tigor car.

Here, I have kept Colin for cleaning the windows and have also kept a laptop & mobile charger. My wife has kept the extra luggage and other things on the rear seat. Now, we have locked the house and kept Nano car inside the house.

She is my wife and she is very excited for the long drive. We are now starting our trip to New Delhi. We are now driving out of our colony and the roads of Tamil Nadu are very good.

First, we will go to a restaurant for lunch. This restaurant is situated at the Olaiyur and Trichy bypass. I am very hungry so I have come to a restaurant near my house. The name of restaurant is Valli Mess.

This is Lemon rice. Along with Lemon rice, they have served two cooked vegetables and cooked lentils. If you liked the food, then traditionally, the banana leaf is folded like this and you have to put it in dustbin. We are now taking a turn towards Namakkal road.

Here all the boards and directions for roads are in Tamil language. Due to this, you will have rely on Apple or Google maps. While going from Tiruchirappalli to Namakkal, we saw this temple , so we made a video of it. I will show you how the temples are constructed in Tamil Nadu.

Earlier, we used to think that all these temples are of God Shiva and Parvati. But we were told that most of these temples are for local deities. There are idols of various Gods and Goddesses. These people celebrate the festivals in big way.

The architecture of these temples is very different as compared to temples of North India. Here most of the idols are made from Granite whereas in North India, idols are made of white Marble. Here, you will also find the statues of Gods or their servants etc. riding on horses etc.

The temples in Tamil Nadu are kept very clean. There is a fixed time for opening and closing of temples. We have reached Namakkal city. It is 5.30 pm and we have covered 112 kilometers. I have to take a turn at 1.5 kilometers. Look, how beautiful the bridges are constructed here.

The benefit of Apple watch is that you get directions from iPhone in the watch directly. We are now on Namakkal bypass and this is National highway 44. This highway will go directly to Delhi but we will go upto Bangalore. We have crossed Namakkal and now are on NH 44.

There is a restaurant behind me. Let us check what all food is available there. This restaurant is on the left side of highway if you are going from Tamil Nadu to Delhi. There are various food items, tea and Coffee is available here and you would have to buy a token for them.

There are various local sweets sold here. We bought two tokens, one for Appe (local food item) and other for Jaggery Roti. Appe is also called Paniyaram. He is preparing Appe here, it is also known as Puddu. Here the Jaggery Roti is being prepared. This is how they cook the Appe.

They are putting cooking oil on Jaggery Roti and Appe. They are now serving Appe to us. One Appe costs 10 Rupees. They will serve us these with Chutney and the plate costs 30 Rupees. This chutney is very delicious and is made from Ginger, Garlic and lentils.

If you visit this area, then do try this food. This Jaggery Roti also costs 10 Rupees a piece. We are about to reach Salem. We have been stuck in traffic jam on our side of road for last 10 minutes. These are the wings of Windmills and they are very lengthy.

Usually, two vehicles escort them. One at front and the other at back to ensure that they can turn properly and also clear the traffic for them. You will find them on highways at the places where windmills are installed. Like Jaisalmer in Rajasthan and Chitradurg etc.

My wife : “Look, he is cleaning the windshield with Colin.” My wife : “Now the mirror is clean.” My wife : “Now, my videos will be very good.” My wife : “I have given him two jobs, one is to drive and other is to clean the car. ”

We have come to Sri Mathrosri Hotel which is in Kanahosahalli. This town is also known by name of Hosahalli. This small town is situated on Chitradurg to Kudligi highway. To reach the town, you will have to take the service road to Hosahalli from highway.

The restaurant is located in front of bus stand. This place is always crowded. The food is very delicious and we initially ordered one plate of food. The price of one plate is 60 Rupees. In one plate they serve you 2 rotis, 2 cooked vegetables, one cooked lentil, curd and Chutney.

But it was built by subsequent rulers of Holkar dynasty after her death. They have given information about palace here.

This palace is built and maintained very well. When you visit such palaces, you get to know how the rulers and kings used to live about 200 years ago. There are many old Chandeliers hanging here in the palace. This palace has a large courtyard.

There are many rooms where the families of rulers used to live. Those rooms are closed now. This is a small inn where the royal visitors or big merchants used to stay. This is all made of wood. Also there are still the electrical switchboards in operation which were used 50 years ago.

These were small rooms for traders where they used to stay. This is the way to first floor of palace. From here, you can keep an eye on who is entering and exiting the palace. This place was used by soldiers. This is the way to second floor of the palace.
