There is a famous temple in Komagane City called Kozen-ji Temple, and this is a wonderful ryokan that is just a 1-minute walk from Kozen-ji Temple. It has a nice and quaint appearance. I’m looking forward to it. excuse me for disturbing you! Wow, what a wonderful atmosphere! I like it!

I walked to Kozenji Temple. A thin layer of snow is starting to accumulate. A statue of Nio welcomed us. Now, it’s time for the Watatabi overnight study corner. Kozenji is a Tendai sect temple located in Komagane City, Nagano Prefecture.

The name of the mountain is Hoshaku-san, the name of the temple is Mudo-in, and the principal image is Fudo Myoo. It was founded by Honsho Shonin in 860 during the Heian period, and was protected by the Takeda, Hashiba, and Tokugawa families.

Common people have been praying for it since the Edo period, and it is said to have the benefit of warding off evil spirits, warding off disasters, and making wishes come true.

In the precincts , the main hall, three-storied pagoda, and three gates are built in a cedar forest, and there are many giant trees that are hundreds of years old. The entire 6.7 hectare area of ​​the temple grounds has been designated as a national scenic spot as the Kozenji Garden.

A mountain dog named Hayataro was kept at Kozenji Temple. He is a mountain dog pup that was born under the floor of Kozenji Temple about 700 years ago and was raised there. He was a smart and strong dog and was loved by everyone.

The story depicts Hayataro as a brave dog who goes to Iwata City, Shizuoka Prefecture and saves the town of Mitsuke from a monster. In Iwata City, it has been passed down under the name Shippei Taro.

Since it exterminated evil monsters, it is said to have benefits such as warding off evil spirits, warding off disasters, and winning battles. Recently, Hayutaro has gained popularity after appearing in the anime Yuru Camp△. That’s what I mean. This was the study corner of Watabi. Anyway, the temple in the snow is fantastic.
