青春18きっぷで、鳴門駅から高松駅まで乗ってみた。

“Misato’s Journey LOG” begins. hello everyone. This is Misato. This is Naruto Station on the JR Shikoku Naruto Line. In the previous video, we took the Tokushima Bus Eddie from Kosoku Maiko to Kosoku Naruto, and then walked for about 20 minutes from the bus stop. We arrived at the last station on the Naruto Line. This time, I will ride the Naruto Line and Kotoku Line with the Seishun 18 Kippu. Please subscribe to the channel. As the departure time approaches, I enter the ticket gate.

The curtains at the ticket gate were open until just a little while ago, but the business hours had just closed. The local train I’m about to board is bound for Tokushima, leaving at 12:03. This is the inside of the car. It seems like about half of the seats are occupied.

When the departure time arrives, the train departs from Naruto Station. The first stop is Muya Station. It seems that this station was the last stop when the Naruto Line opened, but it is a station with only one platform, and there is no indication that it was the last stop now.

Next is Konpiramae Station. There is also a Konpira Shrine in Naruto City. The river that flows across the road is the Shinike River. The 1500 series diesel car I’m currently riding has three doors, but apparently the middle door won’t open when I’m driving alone.

The door is closed, the numbered ticket is stored, and the train departs from Konpiramae Station. The next station is Church-mae Station. Apparently, the station got its name because there is a Tenrikyo church nearby. My mom’s luggage fell over when she got off the train, and

I was a bit nervous, but I was relieved to see that my dad had come to pick her up . In this way, the Naruto Line continues to run along the northern edge of the Tokushima plain . Next is Tatsumichi Station. The intermediate stations on the Naruto Line

Are wonderfully stations with one platform on the same side. I guess it’s just happened to be like this since we opened. As I exited Tatemichi Station, I noticed that there was grass growing on the roadbed . Awa-Otani Station differs from previous Naruto Line stations in that its platform is made of thin concrete.

The other stations have been in operation since it opened (Naruto Station was the only one, in 1938), but this station was built in 1963. After leaving Awa-Otani Station, the next stop is Ikenotani Station. The Naruto Line goes to the next station. I will get off here and change trains.

At Ikeya Station, I crossed paths with the train bound for Naruto. The train I was on departed for Tokushima. At Ikeya Station, there is an overpass that connects the Naruto Line platform and the Kotoku Line platform, so let’s go up. If you look at it from above,

It looks like a model railroad layout where two lines meet . There is a station building in the middle. I have some time until my next train, so I head down to the station building. Although it is a splendid station building with a tiled roof, it is an unmanned station.

The next train to catch is the 12:48 train bound for Takamatsu. The Kotoku Line is very difficult to ride as there are only a few local trains that can be used throughout the day during the day, but

This time it was a good connection from the Naruto Line and there was a direct connection to Takamatsu, so today’s Seishun 18 Kippu It became a course. The front of Ikeya Station looked like this. After 27 minutes of waiting time, my train on the Kotoku Line finally arrived.

From now on, I will ride for 2 hours and 35 minutes to Takamatsu. The inside of the train was similar to the Naruto Line I mentioned earlier. The first stop is Bando Station. At this point, we suddenly stopped for 4 minutes. I’ll go out to the station right away.

A 10-minute walk from this station is Ryozenji Temple, the first temple on the Shikoku 88 Sacred Sites Tour . The train only had a 4-minute stop, so I quickly returned to the platform and saw the limited express Uzushio No. 13 rushing past at breakneck speed.

After the express train passes, I quickly get back inside the train and leave Bando Station. Next Awa Kawabata Station. From here, you will leave Naruto City and become Itano Town. Next is Itano Station. The train will stop at this station for 17 minutes.

Itano Station is the starting station for the Kajiyahara Line, which was abolished in 1972. Behind the station name plate of Itano Station, which you can see now, there was a platform for the Kajiyahara Line in the area where the ballast and rails were. Was it?

This is what the inside of the station looks like. At this time, the station was unmanned on Saturdays and holidays. The waiting area of the station building is quite spacious. It is the closest station to Itano Town Hall, and all express trains also stop there. By the way,

It takes about 6 hours for a local train to go to Takamatsu from this station . Since the prefectural border of Tokushima and Kagawa is just ahead, there is probably not much flow of people. The 17-minute stop was extended, so we used this time to have lunch.

This is today’s lunch. . . . I was planning to eat or buy something between Expressway Naruto and Naruto Station, but I didn’t have much time, so I bought a packed lunch at the drugstore next to Naruto Station. It was a 1500-series folding seat, but

I was able to eat secretly so as not to attract attention. No, packed lunches are delicious and I love them. Meanwhile, the opposite train arrived and my train bound for Takamatsu departed. Local trains coming from the Takamatsu area have also been running since 8am.

Although it only takes one car to go to Takamatsu, the Kotoku Line is a limited express train that travels 130 km, so the track is solid and fast. The train I overcrossed was the Takamatsu Expressway, the rival of the Kotoku Line. The surrounding area became mountainous, and I arrived at Awa-Omiya Station.

Tokushima Prefecture ends at this station. Once you leave this station, you will pass through the long Osakayama Tunnel and several short tunnels before entering Kagawa Prefecture. You can also see the Seto Inland Sea from the train window. It stops at Sanuki-Aioi Station, which enters Kagawa Prefecture.

A view of a small island seen from the station. It was such a small island that it wasn’t even on Google Maps. The second station after entering Kagawa Prefecture is Hiketa Station. The train will stop at this station for 24 minutes. By the way, Hikita, where this station is located,

Is said to be the birthplace of Shizuko Kasagi, and is the place where the morning drama “Boogie Woogie” is currently being broadcast as of January 2024 . There seems to have been a cafe at the station, but it is now closed and the station is unmanned.

Looking at the timetable, it appears that during the day, there is approximately one local train running from this station towards Takamatsu every hour. It was a long wait of 24 minutes, and even the passengers on the train were getting bored. Soon, the down and up express Uzushio trains arrived and departed.

Next, this local train will also depart. The next station after Hikita Station is Sanuki Shirotori Station, which is close to Higashikagawa City Hall. The next stop, Sanbonmatsu Station, is a 9-minute stop. This station is also closed on weekends and holidays and is unmanned.

Speaking of Sanbonmatsu Station, there is also a station with the same name on the Kintetsu Osaka Line. Wait for the opposite train bound for Hikita to arrive before departing. Shortly after leaving Nibu Station, the sea approaches and you arrive at Tsuruwa Station. The next station, Sanukitsuda Station, also stops for 5 minutes.

The roof of this station is said to be called Koshiya, and it is an elaborate structure. Along with the outbound train, we wait for limited express Uzushio No. 17 to pass. The train departed from Sanuki Tsuda Station at 2:35 p.m. As we entered Sanuki City from Tsuruwa Station, the

Number of passengers on board the train gradually increased. When I left Kanzaki Station and Zouda Station, I suddenly looked ahead and saw a pilgrim wearing a hat. The atmosphere inside the train is typical of Shikoku. This is Sanukimure Station, which has a Kotoden station next to it.

I entered Takamatsu city from this station. Since the number of passengers has increased, I am a little reluctant to take photos. We had passed Yashima Station, a station associated with the Genpei War, and there were only a few people standing on the train.

Kuribayashi Station, an elevated station, is the last long stop for 7 minutes. When you get off to the ticket gate floor, you will feel the atmosphere of a small city station. Waiting for the arrival of limited express Uzushio 19 before departing. In this way, it took 2 hours and 35 minutes to

Arrive at Takamatsu Station from Ikeya Station in Tokushima Prefecture. It was long, but I was able to enjoy the two and a half hours without getting bored as I looked at the station buildings along the way and saw the trains and express trains that passed by . So, that’s all for this video.

Next time is the final part of the 4th day of the Seishun 18 Kippu trip. looking forward to. Thank you very much for watching until the end this time. Thank you for subscribing to our channel. I would be happy if you could rate it as well.
