Singapore Chinese New Year 2024 – Chong Pang City Market Tour – 忠邦城

Singapore Chinese New Year 2024 – Chong Pang City Market Tour – 忠邦城

Chong Pang City is located in the northern part of Singapore as part of Yishun Town. During Chinese New Year, the entire neighborhood comes alive with festive decorations, vibrant colors, and traditional celebrations. It is a great place to experience the joy and excitement of the Chinese New Year celebrations in Singapore.

Chong Pang City borrowed it’s name from Chong Pang Village – a village where I grew up. Chong Pang Village was originally called Si San Village (West Hill Village). The village was demolished in 1989. As I remember, it sat roughly to the left of Sun Plaza.

To friends and viewers who prefer to hear ambient sounds, I apologise that I needed to use more Royalty-free music than usual, to replace the copyrighted music. For your info, even one of the songs performed by the buskers, singing with their guitar was flagged by YouTube for copyrighted tunes.
