合格祈願・学業成就・試験合格祈願の神社仏閣と御朱印[日本の神社仏閣旅]
This is Masaharu Goshuin Travel. This time, we have compiled a list of shrines and temples that pray for success. Exam season has arrived. Large shrines and temples dedicated to the famous god of academics are good, but
Small shrines within the temple grounds are also worth paying attention to as they can be expected to bring good luck. I hope this will be helpful when you go out. This is a subsidiary shrine within the precincts of Omiwa Shrine in Sakurai City, Nara Prefecture.
The enshrined deity is Kuenobiko-no-Mikoto, who is said to be the god of wisdom. It is popular for its divine virtue of passing entrance exams and improving academic performance. The goshuin you received on the day also has stamps of “passing the entrance exam” and “successful academic achievement”!
A small shrine located in a quiet residential area on the outskirts of Niigata City. As soon as you enter the precincts, you will see the shrine building. The guardian dog in front of the shrine building is a “foot stop guardian dog”. Among the benefits is “passing the exam.”
And this is the Goshuin seal that I received on the day. As the words “ox” and “Tenjin” indicate, the deity enshrined here is “Sugawara no Michizane.” In front of the shrine, there is a pair of “patted cows”, but apart from the “patted cows” there is a natural stone called “wish stone”.
Now, here is the stamp you received. Immediately after going up the stone steps, you will see the “Water Sprinkling Prayer Koi Koi” on your right. The shrine, including the main shrine built in 1742, is designated as a cultural property.
In front of the shrine is a sacred cow. Benefits for improving academics and passing exams! Goshuin stamps were received at the awarding place on the left side of the shrine. The shrine was founded during the reign of Emperor Kinmei (539-571), and its deity was “Okuninushi no Mikoto”.
The “haiden” is a recent construction, but the “main shrine” remains, having been rebuilt in the Meiji era. On the right side of the shrine building is Kitano Tenmangu Shrine, a place for praying for success. There are also petting cows.
And the Goshuin seal that I received on the day. Check the latest information on the shrine’s official Instagram. Oji Shrine in Tokushima is also known as “Cat God”. At the back left of the shrine building is a “Wish Fulfillment Sasuri Cat”.
I pray by rubbing my head for success in the exam, and by rubbing my hands and feet for skill. Well, what I received on the day was this January-limited goshuin. The enshrined deity is Shinadawaki no Mikoto. About Emperor Ojin.
On the left side of the shrine grounds is Kitano Shrine. There is also a patted cow to pray for success! It is also famous as a shrine where you can see the Shinkansen. The goshuin has an ∞ mark that says “Shimomoto Hachi-luck Amulet”. This color changes every month.
This shrine is dedicated to the well-known Sugawara no Michizane. Popular for praying for success. Similar to Dazaifu Tenmangu Shrine in Kyushu, three bridges span Shingaku Pond. The combination of the shrine building and Tokyo Skytree is wonderful. Now, here is the goshuin that I received. It was founded at its current location in 1625.
The shrine building was burnt down in 1857. Rebuilt in 1869. If you go around to the back left of the shrine building, you will see the “Komainu of Preventing Success” which is used to prevent slipping during entrance exams.
Goshuin stamps can be received at the conferring office on the left side of the shrine grounds. thank you very much. Yakuoin Yukiji Temple is said to have been built in 744. This main hall was built in 1901.
In front of the Ogoma reception desk, there is a shrine dedicated to Shugyo Daishi, a place where people pray for academic success and getting into the school of their choice. By the way, Mt. Takao was recently designated as a Japanese heritage site.
Right after leaving Zuishin Sakaguchi. This shrine is located next to Kenrokuen Garden. The deities enshrined include “Sugawara no Michizane,” the god of learning, and “White Snake Ryujin.” Inside the temple grounds is the “Yume Cow,” named after the cow used by Sugawara Michizane (Tenjin).
And this is the Goshuin seal that I received on the day. A shrine located in Kobe that enshrines Lord Masashige Kusunoki (Okusunoki). Since it was offered in the spirit of the three virtues of wisdom, benevolence, and courage, it also has the benefit of academic success!
Lord Masashige Kusunoki was a famous general during the Nanbokucho period, and is affectionately known as Nanko-san. Well, here is the goshuin that I received on the day. “Hiyoshi Taisha” has two areas: “Nishi Hongu” and “Higashi Hongu”! The “West Hongu Main Hall” and “Higashi Hongu Main Hall” are both designated as national treasures.
There are many shrines within the shrine grounds, and among them is Kitano Shrine, which is said to pray for success in entrance exams. And here is the Goshuin seal that I received at the Nishimoto Shrine on that day.
“Yushima Tenjin” is the shrine where I visited 30 years ago to pray for my entrance exam. In front of the shrine building is the “Naked Ushi” which is said to make your wishes come true if you stroke it. And this is the stamp I received.
I was able to write it in the goshuin book. thank you very much. Once you get off the bus stop, cross the red Shinbashi bridge and enter the temple grounds. When you go up the stone steps, you can see the torii gate in front of you and the shrine behind it.
The chozuya is on the left side of the approach. There is Takeda Shingen’s family crest “Takeda Hishi”! The shrine building was built in 1919 (Taisho 8). In front of the shrine, a large cup containing a “Takeda Hishi” was dedicated. “Enoki Tenjin” in front of Koyo Bunoden. Blessings for entrance exams and academic success.
And here is the stamp I received. You will also receive a goshuin book on the day. Beautiful black and silver embroidery. I was able to receive it at the conferring office on the right side of the shrine.
After visiting Takeda Shrine, we headed to a shop in Koshu Yumekoji that is popular for its raisin sandwiches. Discover a great value set for your home that includes all types! A total of 8 pieces of set including 6 types of raisin sandwiches and 2 pieces of butter sandwiches. I enjoyed the various flavors.
The shrine next to the Awa Odori Kaikan is dedicated to Sugawara no Michizane. As it is said to be the god of learning, many students come to worship here. The precincts have a somewhat relaxing atmosphere. It was decorated with flowers and there were chairs and tables where you could take a break.
This is a statue of the enshrined deity, Michizane Sugawara. It is said that the more you rub the Cow of Wisdom, the more wisdom you will gain. Also worth noting is Himemiya Shrine (Himemiya-san), which is said to be a matchmaking shrine.
And this is the January-only goshuin stamp that I received on the day. The latest goshuin information is posted on the shrine’s official Instagram. We stopped at a ramen shop for lunch before visiting Tokushima Bizan Tenjin Shrine. This restaurant seems to be popular for its salt ramen made with sea bream soup stock.
That’s it here. Is it sea bream skin? Crispy and delicious! When you order lunch, you get a salad and a dish of the day. And this replacement rice came with it. Add this to the remaining ramen soup. Delicious! The setting for Chikamatsu Monzaemon’s puppet show “Sonezaki Shinju” during the Edo period.
Since then, it has come to be said that it will bring you luck in marriage. Nowadays there is a monument marking it as a “lover’s sacred place.” There’s also a heart-shaped fortune-telling rack and a panel that shows the faces of two people.
Here is a fancy frog wash. Let’s wet the “love fortune” here. There is also a “difficult stone” wash that mysteriously spins around. Also, when I tried to take a break, there was a heart on the bench!
Since it is a Tenjin shrine, the deity enshrined here is Michizane Sugawara. Pray for success at “Kamigyusha.” The goshuin was also in the shape of a heart. It’s extremely rare. The shrine’s official website provides the latest goshuin information. “Ama no Ebessan” is known for prosperous business and family safety, but there are
Two pillars of the shrine, “Sarutahiko no Mikoto” and “Tencho Onna no Mikoto,” in a small shrine on the left before the shrine. It is the god of marriage and is said to bring blessings for marriage and marital harmony. Next, go to the worship hall and express your daily gratitude to “Nun Ebessan.”
On the right side of the shrine, there is a statue of “Tenjin-sama”! If you walk around the grounds further, you will come across the “Moon Statue Stone”. Apparently it brings luck! This is “Rokufuku Kaeru”. May good fortune return to you. In this way, I was able to meet various characters.
And this is the Goshuin seal that I received. This is the stamp of the Seven Lucky Gods. It seems that there are many goshuin stamps with characters of the Seven Lucky Gods. “Katsuraoka Tenmangu” was originally built in Kyoto in 974.
After that, it was moved to Fukushima and Miyagi, and after that it was moved again and again until it settled on its current location in 1667. Since it is a Tenmangu shrine, the deity enshrined is “Sugawara no Michizane.” He is the god of learning.
There is a petting cow in Tenjin. There was a stroking cow near the chozuya, but the smaller stroking cow in front of the shrine building was also popular with examinees and their parents.
There are also 20 monuments of poetry within the temple grounds, which is one of the pleasures of walking around the temple grounds. Now, here is the goshuin that I received. It was available at the shrine office on the right side of the shrine building.
Go to “Beef Tongue Grilled Toshihisa” on “Beef Tongue Street” near Sendai Station. I ordered a miso flavored beef tongue set meal. Inside the station, there are many people in a hurry. So, the food was delivered immediately after ordering. Comes with beef tail soup, small bowl, barley rice, and small Japanese sweets.
I was grateful to be able to casually eat some local specialties before boarding the train. According to the taxi driver, this row of cherry blossom trees is crowded in the spring. When you get to the area where the shrine is located, you will feel a mysterious atmosphere surrounded by trees.
The deity enshrined here is Michizane Sugawara, the god of learning. It was founded in 1288. The spirit is enshrined from Kitano Tenmangu Shrine. The simple, not ornate, shrine building actually tightens your heart. At the back of the worship hall is the “honden”. A dignified appearance. Shrines were dotted around the large grounds.
By the way, there is a large “couple cedar” in front of the worship hall. Although the location is inconvenient, the wide variety of goshuin stamps is very popular. You can check the goshuin information on the shrine’s official website. Kitano Tenmangu Shrine is said to be the headquarters of all Tenmangu Shrines in Japan.
Yeah? I think Dazaifu Tenmangu Shrine was also called the main headquarters… There are cases where there are two main headquarters. At Chozuya, I am happy to be able to encounter beautiful flower water every time. While walking along the approach to the shrine, I came across a petting cow several times.
This is “Sankomon”. The sun and moon sculptures are hidden. And the main shrine is a national treasure. It was built in 1607 on the orders of Lord Hideyoshi. And this is the zodiac goshuin for 2020 that I received on this occasion.
In Reiwa 5, it appears that stamps with the zodiac sign “Rabbit” are being issued. In addition, a felt bonus was attached to the goshuin stamp. This shrine is located in Kita Ward, Osaka City and was founded in 949. The shrine building was rebuilt in 1843 and was spared from war damage.
This “Toryumon” is on the left and right of the shrine building. During the exam season, walk-through visits are held to pray closer to God. As you go deeper into the precincts, you will find many shrines within the precincts.
There are many different gods enshrined here, so you might be able to find the shrine you want to pray to. And this is the Goshuin seal that I received on the day. I am always impressed by the beautiful characters.
As the deity enshrined is “Sugawara no Michizane,” there are many “sacred cows” within the precincts. The three bridges you cross on your way to the shrine represent the past, present, and future. Proceed along the approach while looking at the bronze Kirin statues.
In front of the shrine building is the “romon” gate. It was rebuilt in 1914. The current “Gohonden” was rebuilt in 1591. In front of the main shrine is the sacred tree “Tobiume.” Now, here is the Goshuin seal that I received that day. Firstfruits fee is optional. You can pay as you wish.
