“A Sicilian Journey in August” I miss this hot seaside weather. In Sicily, you can find Lemon 🍋 smoothies available around the island. As someone with pizza phobia, encountering such a large pizza was a bit overwhelming. First meal, I have a fondness for seafood and pasta. Al dente

The southern part of Italy has a completely different feel from the north. I prefer it here; it feels very chill. After resting at the B&B, I set out again. Accidentally stumbled upon a food market. Continuing to enjoy seafood tonight; this restaurant specializes in fried and grilled seafood.

The market is called Vucciria, which means chaotic and busy. And indeed, all the restaurants here are chaotic and busy. Passed by a Sicilian dessert shop; the packaging is quite attractive. One of the souvenirs to consider, but unsure about the taste. Decided to go in and picked a dessert to try.

Ended up with a pistachio gelato and a dessert called “coppetta gelo.” It’s like a frozen gelatin with a unique flavor. As the night deepens, Sicily becomes more lively. Indeed, it’s a tourist area. I like the bars here, very stylish with an Italian island vibe.

It’s already 1 am, but the bars nearby are still lively. Saw this giant setup, probably for the local celebration of the Assumption of Mary. That wraps up the first day. In the morning, went to the cafe downstairs at the B&B for breakfast. The cafe’s setup feels very spontaneous.

Romantic plates but not tacky. Ordered a Salmon salad for breakfast on such a hot day, feels cooler. Also got an iced coffee made with a shake-up method by the barista. First time having an iced coffee shaken up like this It’s truly chilling. That’s how summer should be

There’s a path in the church that leads to the rooftop. Walked up the stairs for about 10 minutes. You can almost see the entire city of Palermo. Enjoying wandering aimlessly in an unfamiliar place. In the afternoon, I tried the traditional Italian dessert, Cannoli.

The crispy outer shell is fried dough, available in both original and chocolate flavors The filling typically consists of cream made with sugar and vanilla. Additionally, it is topped with chocolate pieces, nuts, or pistachio crumbs There are many flavor options available. However, for me, it tends to be a bit sweeter.

Booked a Michelin one-star restaurant in Palermo for dinner. The restaurant’s theme is based on Steve Jobs’ Apple products. The restaurant probably wants to bring out the chef’s philosophy, similar to Jobs’ Apple products, innovative. I love to pick 1 expensive restaurant and give it a go each time I travel.

Also, it’s my birthday dinner. 😆 Continue to experience the lively local nightlife, people everywhere. many people gather in the bars inside the narrow lanes. we decided to come over tonight and experience it This trip coincides with a big Italian holiday, Ferragosto. the beach was crowded, and many spots were already full.

Discovered that many of the beaches in Sicily are privately owned and require an entrance fee. Ferragosto is the Italian celebration of the Assumption of Mary into Heaven On this day, Italians flock to the seaside. Because of this, we deliberately planned to go to the seaside today to experience the lively atmosphere.

The sunset has begun when we returned to the city It’s dinner time again, so I randomly picked a restaurant Love this Seafood Platter, featuring my favorite fresh seafood. The pasta is also delicious, and their seafood is fresh and offers a wide selection.

Today, we will go to a place called Cefalu. Cefalu is a small coastal town in Sicily. I didn’t plan any itinerary for today; I decided to wander aimlessly. .I randomly chose a seaside restaurant for lunch. The pasta here is delicious no matter which restaurant you choose.

There are still many Italians coming to the seaside. Of course, not without the famous Italian brands. 😆 I really like the atmosphere here; it has a very summery Italian vibe. We took the train back to Palermo around 5 o’clock. I might come back to Cefalu for a few days in the summer.

While waiting for a table, the restaurant offered a glass of Prosecco I opted for seafood again Forgive me, but in London, it’s really hard to find fresh and tasty seafood. Today, I tried a must-try Sicilian snack called Arancini.

Arancini is a Sicilian snack where rice is fried into a ball, creating a crispy outer layer. It comes with various fillings such as cheese, meat sauce, peas, and even curry. Tried this place today, and they offer a variety of fillings for Arancini. You should be able to find a flavor you like!

I had an ice cream sandwich for lunch, which is also one of the traditional Italian snacks. I stayed in an Airbnb for ths trip I didn’t specifically film a room tour, but I can share the view from the terrace.

The location of this B&B is perfect; it’s convenient to walk to any attractions. For dinner, I went to what I consider a Sicilian street food stall. Sicilian signature street food stall beer Caponata is an Italian eggplant dish, somewhat reminiscent of miso eggplant in flavor. And of course, their traditional Italian sandwich.

Last night of my Sicily journey. Chose a bar near the B&B and had a Farewell Drink. On the train to the airport.
