【石垣島】沖縄8泊9日旅行🌴✈️竹富島の絶対行くべき観光スポット巡り!西桟橋 | コンドイ浜 | カイジ浜DAY1,2
Good morning! This is HIKOLOG. I’m currently at Centrair (Chubu Centrair International Airport). I’m off for an 8-night, 9-day trip to Okinawa Main Island and Ishigaki Island starting today! It’s been a while since I last visited Okinawa, so I’m excited 😊
First, I’ll spend 5 nights in Ishigaki Island, then head to Okinawa Main Island. I’ve already checked in online, so let’s go drop off my luggage! After dropping off my luggage, I’ll go through security! At Centrair, you can get a drink by answering a survey 😊 Got my afternoon tea 🤗
Today, I’m flying to Naha Airport on Solaseed Air at 12:05, then transferring there to go to Ishigaki Island! I have some time before boarding, so I’ll wait while drinking my afternoon tea. The plane I’m about to board has just arrived. Now, it’s time to board! We’re departing!
Saw a Dreamlifter transporting airplane parts to the USA ✈️ Bye-bye Centrair 👋 The flight time from Centrair to Naha is about 2 and a half hours. Got some apple juice ✌️ We can see Okinawa now. We’re about to land!
My flight to Ishigaki Island departs at 5:30 PM, so I’ll spend some time at Naha Airport. I’m hungry, so I’ll go outside to buy some food. Mensore (Welcome)🤗 First, I’ll grab some Sanpin tea from the convenience store 😎 Next, I’ll buy some food from Po-tama. Which one should I choose? 🤔
Got the Po-tama 🤗 I’ll eat it on a bench near the boarding gate, so I need to go through security. Osaka police in Okinawa? 🤔 Bought a Mentaiko Mayo Po-tama for 460 yen! Now, let’s eat! It’s freshly made, hot, and really delicious 😋
Spam, egg, and Mentaiko Mayo sandwiched with rice makes for a substantial meal. You can find Po-tama in convenience stores these days, but it’s tastier at specialty stores! The oily miso flavor Po-tama is also delicious, highly recommended 😊 That’s Starlux Airlines heading to Taipei. I want to go to Taiwan too 🥺
Got an Okinawa-style cola 😎 Time to board the plane! This plane is the Pokémon Exeggutor Jet 🤗 We’re departing now 🤗 Taking off! Found an ant on the table 🥺 Arrived at Ishigaki Airport! Heading to the airport on foot now.
This is my third visit to Ishigaki Island, last time was about 2 years ago. Heading to the city area of Ishigaki Island by bus. Waiting here for the bus. The bus has arrived! The fare from the airport to the bus terminal is 540 yen.
Got off near the place I’ll be staying from today. I’ll be staying at the Yaeyama-so Inn starting today. I booked a 6-tatami mat Japanese-style room with bath and toilet, non-smoking, for about 5,000 yen per night.
This inn has been in business for 50 years. It feels old, but I wanted to stay in such a place 😊 There are a lot of futons even though I’m alone. The staff at this inn are very kind.
Hotels in Ishigaki Island can be expensive depending on the season, so staying in an inn like this is good 😊 The bath and toilet are combined, kept clean, and nice 😊 Now that I’m hungry, I’ll go out to eat. Saw a cat 🥺 I plan to eat at Yaeyama Soba Yumenoya.
I wanted to eat Goya Champuru, but it seems I can only order Okinawa soba at this time 😢 I ordered Arasa soba for 1078 yen! Let’s eat! Arasa is a green seaweed that grows on the rocks in Okinawa.
Okinawa soba is really delicious with its gentle dashi flavor, but maybe I should have ordered regular Soki soba 🤔 I plan to eat my favorite Goya Champuru tomorrow. Let’s try adding some island pepper 🌶 The soup is now spicy 😊
This seasoning contains alcohol, so it might not be suitable for those who dislike alcohol. Thank you for the meal! Preparing for tomorrow, I’ll head back to the hotel and sleep 😴 Good morning! Today is day 2 of my Okinawa trip. Today, I plan to visit the popular remote island of Taketomi.
To get to Taketomi Island, we’ll take a ferry from the remote island terminal. The sea of Ishigaki Island is emerald green 🥺 Arrived at the remote island terminal! Let’s buy tickets right away. Here is the ferry timetable. Ticket purchase complete! The round trip cost 1520 yen. Let’s go meet Mr. Kugishiken outside.
Good morning, Mr. Kugishiken! I’m hungry, so I’ll buy a bento box at the store. Let’s buy a bento box from this store 😊 Bento box purchase complete! I’ll eat it on Taketomi Island 😊 It’s almost time, so I’ll head to the ferry terminal.
Handing over my ticket to the staff and boarding the ferry. We’re setting sail 🤗 It seems we’ll arrive at Taketomi Island in about 15 minutes from Ishigaki Island. The sea isn’t too rough, but the spray is intense 😳 Arrived at Taketomi Island!
Here, we pay an island admission fee of 300 yen, used for environmental conservation activities. Got my admission ticket 😎 This is optional, but the collection rate seems to be about 10% of visitors. Showing the ticket at the counter gets you an admission certificate and a sticker 😊
Let’s eat the bento on a bench at the ferry terminal 🤗 Genki Cool is delicious 😋 Cycling is convenient for touring Taketomi Island, so I’m heading to a bike rental shop. It seems to be about a 5-minute walk from the ferry terminal. You can see the bike rental shop over there.
Bike rental complete! It was 1000 yen for 2 hours. First, I’ll climb the hill to reach the village of Taketomi Island! Arrived at the village! It’s starting to rain 😨 I found a parking spot for the bike, so I’ll explore the area on foot. Let’s climb up to the Nagomi Tower!
Unfortunately, it’s not possible to climb up anymore 😢 It’s a pity about the weather, but the scenery is still quintessentially Taketomi 😊 The rain is getting worse, so I’m heading back. There was a water buffalo 🥺 The rain has stopped, let’s head to the next destination!
The Nishi Pier is about 105 meters long and 2 meters wide, made of stone, and registered as a national tangible cultural property. It’s no longer in use, so it’s become a popular tourist spot on Taketomi Island. Someone was there 🥺
This place must be even more beautiful when it’s sunny 🤔 I regret the bad weather here too. Here’s a photo of it on a sunny day (free material). Typical Okinawa! The transparency of the sea is amazing 😳 Those people were catching small crabs 😂 Now, let’s head to the next destination.
Next, I’m going to the most famous beach on Taketomi Island! Swimming is prohibited outside the beach area 🙅♂️ The water clarity is indeed incredible 🥺 Wearing sandals today, so I’m heading to that uninhabited island! I’m wading into the sea, up to my knees. Someone’s already on the uninhabited island 🥺
I’ve landed on the uninhabited island 🤗 Right now, it’s just me here. Let’s start the ‘Playing with Sea Creatures’ segment 🤗 Found a sea cucumber 🥺 but I don’t want to touch it. We should head back before the tide comes in and we can’t return. Is that a hermit crab?
Just a normal shell. What’s this!? It was a piece of a shell. This might be a fossilized bread 🤔 A strangely shaped shell. A shell with an odd pattern. Mostly just shells, not many creatures 😥 Got a stick for poking sea cucumbers 😎 Let’s observe the sea cucumber.
Something came out 😨 Sorry about that. Now, it’s time to head to our next destination. There’s a place to wash feet, so let’s get rid of the sand. The next destination is also a beach. Kaiji Beach is famous for its star-shaped sand. Everyone’s looking for it, so I’ll try my luck too!
Couldn’t focus well, but I found some grains of star sand. Photo spot 😊 Falling here would definitely hurt 😰 Second round of ‘Playing with Sea Creatures’ 🤗 Found a shell about the size of my hand! There were hermit crabs too 🤗 Hermit crabs are cute ☺️
It’s almost time to return the bike, so I’ll be heading back. My feet are covered in sand, but no water tap, so I’ll bear with it 😢 Found a tap, so I’ll wash the sand off my feet 🤗 Taketomi Elementary and Middle School is off-limits. Taking a break at a shop called “Ho-ya.”
Ordered a brown sugar banana crepe for 800 yen! It’s been about 10 years since I last had a crepe 😂 Sweet and delicious 😋 The brown sugar gives it an Okinawan touch. But 800 yen feels a bit expensive 🤔 Now, as it’s almost 2 hours, I’ll return the bike.
There was a cow 🥺 So noisy 😡 Bike returned! Heading to the ferry terminal. I’m running late, and there’s a queue 🥺 I wonder if I can get on? I made it aboard 🤗 It’s a larger ferry, so there was plenty of space! Back on Ishigaki Island!
I’m getting hungry, so I’ll go get something to eat. Saw a Pokémon manhole cover 🥺 I’ll eat something at this restaurant. There are lots of Okinawa-style dishes here. The ceiling is full of awamori bottles 😊 but I’m worried they might fall. I ordered a Champuru set meal for 935 yen! Let’s eat!
Delicious 🤤 Goya Champuru is my favorite Okinawan dish. It pairs really well with rice 😊 The Goya Champuru here has a strong flavor, makes me want a beer ~ This soup is as rich as ramen soup 🥺 Champuru dishes are full of vegetables and quite healthy! Okinawan tofu is delicious too 😋
Thank you for the meal! I’m tired today, so I’ll head back to the hotel to rest. After a little rest, I’m going out to eat. I found an interesting izakaya yesterday, so let’s go there! I’ve arrived at Ichigyo Ichimei!
I ordered Okinawan tempura with island fish for 780 yen, sashimi for 1480 yen, mozuku vinegar for 480 yen, and cola! Let’s eat! The fish is fluffy and makes a delicious tempura. Let’s also try the mozuku vinegar. This is delicious too 😋 It’s totally different from the mozuku sold in supermarkets.
My favorite sashimi 🐟 Is this tuna? The tuna sashimi is delicious 🤤 Makes me want a beer. The reason I’m abstaining from alcohol today is that I plan to tour Ishigaki Island by bike tomorrow. I’m not used to biking, so I want to be in top condition to drive 🥺
After eating this, I’ll head back to the hotel and get some good rest. Still feel like eating something, so let’s have dessert at the end 🤗 I’ll eat pudding at Genki Milk. Ordered a sablé (price unknown), pudding for 420 yen, and milk for 298 yen!
There was a life-sized cow in the middle of the shop 🐮 Now, let’s eat! The pudding has a gentle sweetness and a smooth texture with a hint of milk flavor 😋 The milk tastes ordinary, I guess 🤔 I’ll also eat the sablé. It’s a regular sablé with a buttery aroma.
This pudding was the tastiest 😋 Now, I’ll head back to the hotel and sleep 😴 This concludes today’s video. Thank you for watching until the end! Tomorrow, I plan to tour Ishigaki Island by bike 😊 If you liked this video, please give it a thumbs up and subscribe to the channel!
