Camping at the HIGHEST mountain in Tokyo (Mt. Kumotori) | Japan travel vlog

Today is mid of October It will be my first outdoor camping experience in Japan The campsite we went to this time was located in Mount Kumotori It is said that Mount Kumotori is the highest mountain in Tokyo! The location is right between Okutama Tokyo and Saitama Prefecture

It’s hard to reach here without driving Guess this is a place that only local people will know🤫 After about 2 hours of driving We arrived at the foot of Mount Kumotori Getting ready to start climbing to the campsite The journey here takes about 3 hours

You can start to see some maple leaves in mid-October What a beautiful scenery I think this mountain is not too difficult to climb at the start But because we all carry backpacks weighing at least 5kg It’s make it tougher 😅 View from the mountains 😍 Finally arrived to the campsite after 3 hours!

This is located halfway up Mount Kumotori Here there’s a hut called “Sanjo no Yu” There are stay and hot spring available here Our main goal this time is for hot spring only 🤭 Then we came to our campsite for tonight Alright, ready to start setting up the tent!

It is obvious to see the efficiency of professional and amateur 😂 But the process was enjoyable! Work hard on my sleeping mat for tonight 🥲 Ta-da! Tonight’s stay is complete! What a sense of accomplishment 😂 It’s so small and comfortable to stay in it❤️ My neighbors hehe Soaked in nature

It’s all the sounds of rivers, wind and birds Being healed~ After some break we continue our climbing journey The original goal at the beginning was to attack the top But due to time constraints, nah let’s forget about it😂 But the mountain road at the second half is really difficult though 😩 Anyway, we also explored some rare species along the way which is interesting 🤭 We rest in the hut after coming back Thank you for your hard work~! 🍻 Then it’s hot spring time😚

This is my first time to experience this kind of outdoor natural hot spring🤫 Although the hot spring are a bit of a comfort for me But it’s more of a torturous feeling 🥲 seriously not a fan of hot spring lol Half of the day passed We are making dinner for next

Thank to my professional friend for helping us in preparing everything🫡 Japan only 😂 Look at this! 😍 We chilled while enjoying dinner for the rest of the night The next morning… Just like what weather forecast says It started to rain early in the morning, and it rained quite heavily 😢

And because there’s no signal in the mountain, I was so bored inside the tent 😅 I just stayed in a daze for nearly an hour lollll Although camping on a rainy day is probably the worst experience But it is also an unforgettable experience!

Later, when the rain becomes lighter, we quickly pack up the tent Goodbye~ It turned sunny on the way back though 🥲
