第一次出國就獨旅Part.2!京都最好玩的神社在這!12月中這裡還有楓葉?!(有CC字幕)【不簡丹的Vlog系列#3】Solo Trip In KANSAI part.2|丹比 Danby
This is the breakfast at the hostel. Isn’t it super abundant? I especially love their miso soup. It’s a flavor I’ve never had in Taiwan. So delicious. I still miss it a lot. After eating, I brewed a cup of coffee to warm up. Then I started today’s itinerary. Hello, everyone. Today, I’m in Kyoto.
It’s like the official first day. I’m going to visit the Shimogamo-Shrine later. And then, a quick update. The breakfast today was really delicious. I was so surprised. This costs around 700-800 NT dollars (Taiwanese currency). Can you believe it? It’s super abundant. I’m truly amazed. Another update is that today is really cold.
It’s only 5 degrees Celsius outside right now. Although it’s good weather, it’s still really cold. I brought everything with me today. Absolutely cannot go without them. If I don’t wear a hat, I’ll freeze. And the scarf too. Even with a mask on, it still feels quite cold. Super cold. Alright.
I’m going to take the Keihan Main Line to the Shimogamo-Shrine later. I’ll update again after visiting the Shimogamo-Shrine. Or if I see something interesting on the way, I’ll update again. I’ll update if there’s anything. Hehe, let’s go. Phew… so cold. I’ve arrived. Seems like I just missed a train. But whatever.
It suddenly gets warm inside the subway station. Their heating is quite strong. That’s a good thing. I’ll take off my coat later. It’s too bothersome to do it now. I hope there’s more space in the train, so I can easily put on and take off my coat. I’m going crazy.
This is so beautiful. It’s so beautiful that I feel like, Ah!! Japan is amazing~~~ I’m literally screaming. I can’t find words to describe my feelings!!! And today, I dressed in red because I’m visiting the Shimogamo-Shrine. Did I put effort into it? It’s quite heartful~ Actually, the clothes I’m wearing today,
Both the top and bottom, I bought them on the first day near Shinsaibashi. Kawai Shrine. Mainly for praying for beauty and attractiveness (praying to a goddess). I find the praying process fun and interesting! And you get to drink~ Buy a Ema. Then go to the makeup room to paint the Ema.
After finishing the makeup, turn it over and write a wish. Then place it in the front shelf. You can also buy a charm for beauty at the visitor center. Finally, drink a cup of beauty water. And that concludes this visit. Finished with the Shrine visit. Alright, like this. Isn’t it beautiful now?
Very beautiful, right? Just right here. Mine also go over later. Such good drawing skills. What the fxxk is this? Ah, How’s mine? Haha. Mine, mine… (laughing). It’s too plain. Come on, you can do it here. You can do it! Hey, there’s a special area here specifically for customers who bought beauty water.
Not bad. And it’s super cold today. You can order hot drinks now. There’s both hot and cold options, how great. I actually can’t tell what’s in it. But it’s sweet and delicious XD. Everyone. I just went through the process at Kawai Shrine. I think, wow, this place is great.
Because there weren’t many people when I came. It’s so quiet, and I can slowly read Japanese. Unlike yesterday when I went to Yasaka Shrine, there were too many tourists (compared to here). So I couldn’t really pay attention to how to do the prayers. So, my visit to Yasaka was just for sightseeing.
Didn’t visit. But Kawai (Kawai Shrine) is really tranquil. And look, the scenery beside it is so beautiful, amazing. The air in Japan~(breathe) Happy!!! I just met another Taiwanese person. He initially asked me in English if I could help take a photo. Then I heard his accent and thought, “Where are you from?”
Um… where are you from? He said, “Taiwan.” So, I said, “Let’s just speak Chinese XD.” Quite interesting. And he seems to be in Japan. Staying for 30 days. Today is his sixth day. Ah, I’m in Japan for seven days. Today is the third day. Ah. Quite interesting.
Just chatted with the friend from Taiwan for too long. I realized that talking continuously in this temperature makes my throat uncomfortable. Oh my. I’m too fragile.??? Help, I need to drink more warm water later. Just now, that beauty water (slip of the tongue) helped revive me. Because it’s hot. And quite hot.
Now I’m heading to Simogamo Shrine. Hello, everyone. I’ve almost finished exploring Simogamo Shrine. Just bought a few charms for my family, mainly for safety and health. And also for traffic safety. Yes. Very important. Hope everyone stays healthy! Now, although I’m considered a young person at 23. XD
It may sound strange to keep saying how important health is. But I really feel that if your health is not good, you can’t do.. QQ. Anything at all. Wishing everyone good health!! Now I’m going to take the bus to Kyoto Imperial Palace. Hey, this is my first time taking a bus in Kyoto.
I hope I won’t take the wrong one later. After all, in Taipei, I’m best at taking the wrong bus XD. Hehehe. Before officially entering Kyoto Imperial Palace, I passed by Nashinoki Shrine. Thought since I passed by, might as well go in. Do I have to climb in like this ^^? LOL
Just now, I was wondering how to get in. Then the two Japanese people in front of me asked the staff we just passed by. He said, “Oh! Go in from here. There’s a very wide path to enter.” And we stood there foolishly, thinking: Oh my god, How do we get in?
Did you see? It’s written the same as just now over there. Go this way. Such a mysterious place. The entrance is too hard to find, right? If I had to find it myself, I probably wouldn’t find it in my lifetime. I was just about to take a photo inside when I met someone
We met at Kawai Shrine just now. Meeting again. Taiwanese… without an appointment. What the heck, haha, super random. I feel like it’s a very quiet shrine~ I’m inside Kyoto Imperial Palace now. As soon as I entered, there’s a restroom. Hahaha. What’s there to be excited about? It’s really big inside.
And the floors in Japanese shrines and temples are often paved with stones like these. Many shrines and temples have this type of flooring. And my shoes are full of stones. Here is really big. It feels like a huge park? Thinking like this doesn’t seem right.
After all, this was the place where the Emperor lived before the Meiji Restoration. There are also kids playing with bubbles nearby. OMG, it’s really hot when exposed like this. It was freezing in the morning. Now it’s scorching. I just took a break on the nearby chair. Because walking constantly is tiring.
Mainly need to drink water. Actually, my feet are okay. In weather like this, walking continuously is quite comfortable. And then, the sun suddenly began to set. Suddenly, there’s a breeze. I thought: Ah, maybe I should get up and walk a bit. Otherwise, it might get a bit cold.
When I entered, there was a small security check. Anyway, it’s to ensure you’re not carrying anything dangerous. Then holding a sign, you have to carry it when touring. There’s a brochure with information that you can take. Upon entering on the right side, there’s a resting place for tourists.
They actually planned the route quite well. There are signs and indicators telling you where to go. And the key is that they all have barriers around them, so you won’t accidentally go somewhere else. Kyoto Imperial Palace is a great place for a stroll.
Because there are really not many people (when I come on weekdays), so you can walk and wander slowly. But sometimes there are tour groups, like the one in front of me. I find this a bit puzzling. The scenery is beautiful, indeed… But what about the water quality? Is this intentional?
I don’t understand… Intentionally making it look like matcha? This place is really beautiful. This is the water I know. Basically finished exploring Kyoto Imperial Palace. Now I’m going out. It’s really big, though. But they planned the traffic flow really well. If they didn’t plan it like this, it would be chaotic.
Chaos to the extreme. Luckily, they blocked each intersection. And let visitors walk only in their designated areas. Otherwise, people would be going everywhere. This aspect is really well-planned. And this place is free~ I think After I finish exploring here, I want to go to Goou Shrine.
Because I had lower back pain a while ago, and sometimes my feet hurt too. And that shrine is for praying for the back and feet. Ah, I must go there and walk around. I hope my feet and back can heal smoothly. As soon as I came out, the sun came out again…
It’s hot again. I just passed by Goou Shrine. I immediately went in to buy charms and then paid my respects. Wow, that was really in a hurry. Now I’m on my way to dinner in a rush. Please wait a bit, I really need to eat… I eat quickly.
Updating on my experience of eating at Gurunavi. Thoughts on the soba noodles. I think it’s simple but delicious in a rustic way. But the price is a bit expensive (1485 yen). But for those who haven’t tried soba noodles, I think you can come and experience it~ (like me).
Now, I really don’t know where to go. Just walking and looking around, haha. Now I’ve come to Hakusan Shrine, which is for praying for teeth. Just finished Shirayama Shrine. After paying respects, now passing by a place I originally planned to visit. This is Tamanoyu, the hot spring I planned to soak in.
But because I ate too much and it’s not suitable to soak now, I just passed by it. But it feels like a very local bathhouse. Just happened to capture residents entering, and kids just finished class. Hi, everyone. My camera ran out of battery halfway through filming. I brought three batteries.
But all three ran out of power. Anyway, I just walked back to the hostel and changed the batteries. Also, because the room I stayed in today is different from yesterday, I changed rooms. So, organizing my luggage and since I’m going to the drugstore to buy duty-free items today,
I’ll buy a bag of duty-free items for a friend and buy one for myself. I just learned that in Japan, duty-free items are actually… at drugstores. Duty-free items at drugstores can’t be opened in Japan!! And they must be kept intact in the duty-free bag for customs clearance. So I found out…
I really don’t know. The reason I came out now is because I want to have dinner. I ate very late in the afternoon, so I’m not very hungry at night. I came back first and thought of trying the convenience store food here. Thought of trying Japan’s convenience store food
And see what their convenience stores are like. After all, it’s cheap, right? And I heard it’s not bad. And our hostel is right across from LAWSON. Now I’m already across the street. LAWSON is right behind me. So, I’m going to buy something later. Hmm. Go, go. Maybe my expectations were too high,
So when I ate it, I thought: “Hmm, it’s just microwave food…” It has a certain quality, but it’s not extraordinary. After all, Taiwan’s convenience stores are also impressive. Later, after I finished my dinner, I took a showeer and went to bed. Breakfast is the same as yesterday, and you can choose for yourself.
But today, I chose something very special that I’ve always wanted to try. Yes. It’s natto!! Hmm, my impression is: I don’t dislike it, but I don’t love it either, XD. It’s like, hmm, I tried it, that’s it 🙂 Good morning, everyone. Today is the fourth day in Japan, right? Yes, the fourth day.
And today’s weather… Visibly bad. It’s overcast. It even rained a bit just now. So, I brought an umbrella with me. By the way, let me update everyone on where I’m going today. I’m going to a Japanese garden called Murin-an Garden. But recording is not allowed inside,
So I won’t be able to film inside. But photos are okay~ So, I’ll include some photos later. So, after I finish here, Murin-an Garden is a Japanese garden near Heian Jingu. Entrance fees range from 600, 1200 to 1800 yen depending on the plan. You have to take off your shoes at the entrance,
But you have to bring them with you because you’ll need them during the tour. Inside is a traditional Japanese wooden structure, tatami mat flooring that squeaks when you walk. On the right side is the space for guided tours. There are 10-minute tours every hour (9:30/10:30/11:30, and so on). But they are in Japanese.
You can see the garden extending from the front to the back, towards the mountain. It’s a unique Japanese garden feature called “borrowed scenery.” Next door, you can sit and have tea and snacks. I even sat here and wrote postcards to send back to my family. Leaving the garden,
Following their planned route for the visit, every corner has a different view. I heard it’s even more beautiful during maple leaf season or when it snows. Every season has a different style. Anyway! I highly recommend those who love Japanese aesthetics to visit Murin-an Garden. The atmosphere is very serene,
And it relaxes the mind. Before leaving, I borrowed their restroom, which even had wooden clogs inside. Super cute. After wandering around Murin-an Garden, I stayed there for over an hour. I think the atmosphere here is really great. And I was the first batch of reservations in the morning. I reserved for 9 o’clock.
When it was 9 o’clock, there were basically no other guests. I had the whole Japanese garden to myself. So, I could stroll slowly and take photos the way I love. Also, the plan I booked includes drinks and dessert. For drinks, there are choices like coffee and matcha. And one tea…I don’t know.
Anyway, I ordered matcha. As for the matcha, it’s very mature in taste. But I can accept the bitterness myself. I’ve just never had unsweetened matcha before. It’s like, oh, surprise, this taste. The dessert recommended by the staff was dorayaki because it goes well with matcha, being a bit bitter.
Okay, so after I finish here, I’ll probably go to Heian Jingu. and Rabbit Shrine over there, walk around, and then see what else to do. Right, so I’m off. Go, go. It seems like there’s a zoo nearby. But, in my opinion, I feel like a zoo is more suitable for fun with friends.
Traveling alone to a zoo..? there’s no one to share the joy with in the moment. I feel it’s not suitable. So, I didn’t plan to go this time. Otherwise, the Tennoji Zoo seems to have polar bears. Very cool. So, if there’s a chance, I’ll come with friends and go together.
Wow, I have to say, even if it’s raining, Kyoto still looks pretty. Over there should be the zoo… here~ Because there are a lot of kids inside, I can hear their voices from here. I’m currently at Okazaki Park’s baseball field. Originally, I wanted to come to Okazaki Park
For the monthly flea market they have. But I didn’t match the timing for this month. QQ So, it’s regrettable. Oh well. Hope to come next time. Because I heard they sell cool stuff at the flea market. Weather report… it’s raining ==” Because I brought a camera, I don’t want to get wet.
It’s difficult to visit places like this in the rain. Here in my hand, I’m hungry now (sudden). Suddenly very hungry. I’m going to Yamamoto Menzo, recommended by my friend. But I feel like it might not be good. There seems to be a long line in front.
Could it be that I’ll be queuing in Japan for the first time? Because they have almond tofu. And I really love almond tofu. Sad news, everyone. No way. Today, without a phone reservation, there’s no way to get in. But there’s a takeout shop next door.
The staff suggested I buy from the takeout shop. But what I really want to eat is almond tofu. So, I asked the takeout shop if they have almond tofu. They said only the restaurant has it. It’s only available for dine-in. And that seems to be the dessert served with the meal.
OH, I’m going to cry. Almond tofu…….. Really want to eat almond tofu… Sad………. Now I’m thinking, I’ll go to Rabbit Shrine and see what they sell there. Just find something to eat casually. Anyway, no matter how I eat, it’s Japanese cuisine. This is Japan, right? Ah. This area is entirely residential.
I have no choice but to go to Rabbit Shrine first. Actually, compared to large shrines or temples, I prefer these small shrines. Because there’s no overcrowding. I get really annoyed in crowded places ^^ Rabbits! Rabbits!! There are rabbits here too!!! There’s even a rabbit here! Rabbits everywhere!!!
I just found out at Rabbit Shrine that the proper way to worship is to bow twice, clap hands twice, make a wish, and then make the final bow. I always did everything in order and then made a wish 🙂 Because I saw a local Japanese person worship just now, and then
I’ve been doing it wrong all along?(right.) Now I’m going to find something to eat. There are a few places I marked nearby. I want to check out the curry udon, because in Japanese dramas, I often see the main characters ordering curry udon. It’s a bit of a walk to get there.
Later on, I’ll probably go into the mountains I can’t think of where to go. Because I don’t want to go to crowded places (like Nishiki Market, which must be crowded on cloudy days). Crowded places are noisy. So, I’ll update later. I’m in this area now. It’s really a residential area.
All I see around are residents. So, I have to walk a while to get to the restsurant. Later on, I’ll mainly go to Eikando and Nanzenji and see which one is suitable to visit. I’ll check again later. Check the recent photos everyone has posted on Google map.
See which place has more maple leaves and go there. Because, actually, there seem to be fewer maple leaves this time. Still, I hope to see more. Take some photos, haha. Arrived. This is the place I want to eat. Just finished the curry udon.
I only feel that it’s very spicy 🙂 (I am not good at eating spicy thing) And when I left just now, the owner gave me this. She gave me a lollipop. What does it mean ♥ Super cute! But this shop doesn’t have an English menu at all.
So, for those who can’t read Japanese , you might consider. Otherwise, just show them which one you want. Like Oyakodon. Do you all know what that is? If yes, then no problem. Now, I want to go Eikando seems to be closer to me now. Just walk a little more. Here we are, Eikando.
And as soon as I arrived at the entrance, there are clearly visible maple leaves now! I’m amazed. I’m really amazed. Eikando ticket for adults is 600 yen. I think it’s very worth buying. I’m at the top of the tower now. I think it’s quite impressive. Let me show you.
I just went inside Eikando for a little walk. I feel it’s quite spacious inside. Originally, I thought it was just a hall for worship. But inside, there are many corridors (stairs) and you can go upstairs. And then climb stairs to the hillside. Then you can be on the high platform and look out.
But no photos are allowed inside. So, I didn’t take any. But just now, I also went to a place like this in the back. Sat there and rested. Hey, inside it smells amazing. I don’t know what kind of wood it is, but the smell of that wood is fantastic. I like it.
I just sat inside and felt very healing. I’m leaving Eikando now to go to Nanzenji. And it seems like there’s a railway road here? I’ll see if I pass by later. Because now I’m a bit lazy to use Google. I’ll just walk around and see. Go wherever there’s something.
Even this gate is very solemn and majestic. This is one part of Nanzenji’s field. Uh, I’m not sure where to buy tickets. But I feel I don’t particularly want to go in today. Because I just saw on the internet Nanzenji seems to be a bit similar to Eikando.
But Eikando’s routes fo guest seems better? And currently, just from what I can see with my eyes, I feel Nanzenji’s autumn leaves now seem not as many as Eikando. So, I think I’ll just walk around. I probably won’t spend money to go inside the temples. And I feel that walking around now
I’m just around the outskirts. I feel there are visibly more tourists in Nanzenji. Obviously, more than Eikando. Maybe it’s because almost everyone has eaten now..? Don’t know what time it is now? It’s 3 o’clock now. People are really a lot. The air is starting to get cold. Where I’m walking now
I found out that it’s basically the way back to my hostel. Walk down a bit more. I’ll be there in about 3 minutes. I passed by the Kyoto Zoo this morning. I’ll walk down a bit more and then I’ll see the railway.
This place seems to be very beautiful when cherry blossoms bloom in spring. I heard that if you’re here in spring, the entire railway will be full of people. Let me tell you guys. Now I know where I am. But now on my left side on the left side behind these trees, is it
This is the tree I saw when I went to Murin-an Garden this morning. The tree I saw from there. Then continue walking out. The “borrowed scenery” of Murin-an Garden is the mountain behind. Wow~~~ Also, on my right now, this should be a stream.
It’s the stream I saw when I came out of Muren-an this morning and thought, “Wow, there’s water here.” And next to it is the zoo. The zoo is right here. So, everything connects. I basically circled around today. Now, I’m going to the post office to send postcards.
I wrote them in Murin-an Garden this morning, so now I’m sending them. I don’t know how much it costs, haha. Now let me check on the internet. I just checked on the internet. Whether you send it to Taiwan or Europe or the USA, the post office charges only 70 yen.
But it’s not 70 yen. It’s 100 yen.(Since 2023/10/01) And they even gave me an airmail sticker. Oh? Oh well. It’s okay. I don’t know when I’ll receive it anyway. Okay, wait a moment. I took them(postcards)some photos just now. Afraid it might get lost when I send it. At least let them see it.
“Oh, I was originally going to send them to you.” “It’s just that they got lost QQ.” Just like my friend sent me something from Thailand. But I still haven’t received it. Don’t know what happened… So, I just returned to where I stay, haha. And now suddenly the sun is out, what’s going on?
Look, suddenly the sun is so big behind. What the heck, I decided to give LAWSON another chance. This time, I bought pudding and panna cotta as snacks. The pudding has a delicate texture. The caramel at the bottom has a bit of bitterness. Overall, it’s not bad.
But the panna cotta is not really to my taste. It’s a bit too watery. And the taste of the milk is not the way I like. I just returned around 16:00 in the afternoon, and I haven’t been out since then. Because I’m a bit tired.
After walking so many steps for so many days. It’s almost 19:00 now. I thought I won’t eat now. I won’t have a chance later. Because Japanese restaurants close early. Now I’m going to a restaurant across the street. Okonomiyaki? Okay, I’ll go over when the light turns green. GO GO. Hope it’s delicious.
Let me tell you guys. I think the cabbage in the Okonomiyaki makes the whole Okonomiyaki very layered. I rarely had such crispy and sweet cabbage in Taiwan. Wow, I used to not think Okonomiyaki was delicious. Oh? It can be this delicious? Because my mom can cook it.
And she used to make it for me quite often. I was a bit tired of it. But this time, it really made me Oh? So it can be this delicious? Happy, happy. Eating something delicious makes me happy. Now I’m going back to where I stay. Tomorrow, I’m going to Uji with a friend.
So, I need to go to bed early. Oh… Later if there is Nothing to do. I’ll take a shower first. Then, we’ll see each other tomorrow. Goodbye. This video is also stopped here due to length. I will find time to upload the rest on other days. If you like my videos,
Feel free to subscribe my channel. And share it with friends who are interested in traveling freely in Japan. See you next time. Goodbye.
