The store is filled with beautiful incense and smells like good incense! The hotel we are staying at today is located in Notogawa City in Shiga Prefecture. It took 40 mins from Kyoto Station to get to Notogawa city. Today, I’m going to stay in a little different kind of hotel.

The restaurant was founded in 2000 in the city of Marugame, Kagawa Prefecture, which is known for its udon noodles. At Marugame Seimen, customers can watch as the skilled chefs prepare their noodles from scratch, kneading and cutting the dough before boiling it in hot water.

The noodles are served hot and fresh, and customers can choose from a variety of toppings and broth options to create their own perfect bowl of udon. One interesting fact is that Marugame Seimen has opened stores all over the world, but the store with the highest sales is the Waikiki store in Hawaii.
