I am Starting a Japanese YouTube Channel Using ChatGPT – Traditional Japanese House Renovation
Hey good morning folks thanks for tuning in again to here to Coco lantro Japan so uh Merry Christmas to everyone uh I’m kind of getting ready for the holidays for uh company and uh right now I’m kind of sitting in our our little guest house working on a projector that I need to
Mount before we have uh people come over but um I’m getting ready to go down to my pile of wood that I have down the road that actually uh my Japanese teacher donated to me he just came over one day and say would you like a bunch
Of wood they they cut down and it’s like a Japanese oak or something like that I’m not quite sure so if uh you know what it is please let me know it’s the type of wood that they use to grow shake the mushrooms but um yeah so just a couple
Things are coming up I just wanted to let everyone know and uh I guess by making a video and recording and committing myself so I have a second Channel called uh Coco Leno Raw and the intent of that was just a basic a bunch of old other footage that I just
Couldn’t get around to editing and uh and and and it what probably wasn’t good enough for this Channel or repeat or stuff like that but um uh and there are about 300 some subscribers in that channel but what I am doing I’m going to commit myself to uh do shorter videos in
Japanese uh if you have been watching us uh my Japanese is definitely not fluent um but I need to practice and I need to force myself to uh continuously improving little by little so what I’m going to do is make kind of go back you know with uh how we started this Sakia
Renovation how we purchased it and in short um text in Japanese and English but try to speak it uh or say it all in Japanese um and how am I doing this I’m going to use uh chat GPT believe it or not so I write a script and throw it
Into chat GPT and ask it to translate it to Japanese and then I have my wife review it and it’s actually almost spoton there was a little glitches here and there but nothing major so um so then I’ll take that and I will go over it word by word
And uh the words I don’t know I practice them read them hopefully remember how to recognize the kanji and uh create the video so I am committing myself to it and I think I’m going to end up renaming that channel to uh coko Reno nion or
Something like that I’m not quite sure I will provide the link uh once I do that it’s probably going to take me another month or so with the holidays and everything to get through the first video I started working on my first script and going and again going through
It um kind of line by line and then I need to create the video it takes a long time folks believe it or not if you wish to entertain yourself listening to that please go back and subscribe to COC Leno raw right now but I’m going to end up
Changing it and try to make it mainly Japanese and again the main purpose is for for me to uh force myself to study and interact in Japanese because um I have uh you know quite a few subscribers from around the world and it’s it’s very fun interacting with uh foreigners that
Are interested in living in Japan but quite frankly there are a lot of Japanese young couples especially there are that are uh kind of uh catching on to the AA and living in the rural side um Japan so I would like to open up that Avenue and interact with more uh folks
That actually live in Japan and uh and again and do it in Japanese uh I have no idea how that’s going to go but again at a minimum I’m going to commit myself to one video and go from there all right folks so I’m going to go ahead and go
Down to the woodpile and continue working on that and uh so I can continue working on my stash uh here for primarily for next year or maybe a year after that because it’s still freshwood all right folks thanks again uh if you like what you see please hit subscribe
Like share uh to our Channel and again if you want to entertain yourself a little bit more on the other side please go ahead and do so Thanks He Yeah w A P N
In this video I will explain how I will start a Japanese channel or our abandoned Japanese House renovation. I will use ChatGPT to translate the script and record in Japanese. Wish me luck!
I am an American (of Mexican descent) living and working in Japan. My wife of 32 (plus) years is from Japan. We bought a vacant or empty house “Akiya” in the countryside of Japan near Iwakuni, Yamaguchi Prefecture for $35,000 (5 million Yen as of August 2022). The property consists of a 2-story house built in 1975, small guest house, large 2 car garage, storage building, and 3/4 acres of land with many fruit trees.
As very common when purchasing an Akiya in Japan, the personal belongings of the previous owner were still in the house. It took multiple trips to the local recycle center to dispose of all the property.
The grounds were overgrown with many weeds and vines. This will take a while to get under control, but it is looking much better around the property, and I think the neighbors are happy to see us cleaning up.
This traditional Japanese house also features a gorgeous Japanese Garden in much need of cleaning up and bringing it back to its glory. I am still working on the garden, but it already looks stunning under a beautiful maple tree and huge decorative stones.
We performed an extensive renovation in the entire house. We focused on keeping traditional Japanese features such as the engawa, shoji doors, ranma, shikkui, tatami room, but incorporated modern features making a very comfortable house for years to come. Walls, ceilings, floors were insulated. New modern kitchen, toilets and bathroom units were installed. We installed a wood burning cast iron stove (Quadra-Fire, Explorer II). New electrical throughout the entire house and guest house. Double pane windows and doors installed and much more.

¡Felices Fiestas! Love your Channel, You give other Hispanics the reason to live your life in Japan… It's My ulitmate dream, Keep up the Good Videos, Coco Lencho
On these short videos you should add the ride over to the place and also if you stop for coffee you should show that as well
that would be great to see, 上手になれ!!!w
Bro call a demolition company and they will drop off 20 ton of hundred-year-old dry beams in your driveway for free on their next job because they get charged a lot to dispose of them. Just chainsaw to length and then use your manual splitter. You get the odd nail here and there but it's not a big issue. I used this wood in my stove until i could get a stash set up. A lot of times its prime hardwood and the old houses never stained their beams so it is as good as forest wood and no bark.
I hope that you can encourage more Japanese people to consider renovating.
