世界初!アニメ機関車トーマスと仲間に会いにいく鉄道旅2選!

This trip was to Shizuoka to meet locomotive Thomas! Powerful consolidated scene 😃. Go on a trip all over Thomas 🚂. Hello, this is solokametrip 🐢. Our journey begins in Shizuoka, Japan! Here we are in Shizuoka Prefecture, right in the middle of Japan!

Today, we are going to “Oigawa Railway” where Thomas is running from here. Take the bus from the south exit of Shizuoka Station to get there! You can see Suruga Bank, a regional bank in Shizuoka Prefecture. We will take that green bus and head there.

The trip takes about one hour. Heading to “Shin-Kanaya Station Arrived! Shin-Kanaya Station is located in Shimada City, Shizuoka Prefecture! I was scurrying around looking for Thomas… There he is! You can see Thomas in the back. Looks like it’s being serviced for the a.m. departure.

Here at “Shin-Kanaya Station,” a ramp is provided so that visitors can see the maintenance area. We are now on the slope side. Three mechanics are working on it. This one is wiped clean. This one is checking for loose bolts. The other one is touching some kind of hose.

Looks like they are working on filling the engine room with water. Water consumption of steam locomotives is quite high. At least 5 cubic meters of water is required for every 1 cubic meter of coal. Also, coal is loaded in the rear of the vehicle. This is the engine room.

The engineer got into the engine room 😃. Coal is put into the fuel engine. This is the first time I’ve seen this, but I can smell the distinctive smell of burning coal. It looks like they finished putting it in! The driver got in! Now it’s time to go😃.

It’s very powerful. The surroundings are quite warm, probably due to the steam 😃. Thomas is on his way to the coupling. He’s looking at the camera like crazy. 👁️ Thomas backs up and consolidates 🚂.

In the original, the coupling is called “Ernie” and “Clarabelle”. You are pulling a passenger in a passenger coach, aren’t you? Finally, the consolidation scene! You have completed the consolidation! Families and many people around me were taking pictures of the coupling scene with their cameras 😃.

After the final inspection work is completed, the next step is a trial run! That’s the sound of a steam locomotive with a swoosh! Many people, not caught on camera, were watching the trial run. Lots of smoke and the steam locomotive Thomas is leaving 😁.

It’s a big powerhouse: !!!! I thought this was the island of Sodor✨ The Thomas train operates with 7 cars ✨. I’m free while the Thomas is doing a test run. I’ll buy some juice 🥤. Each vending machine of Oigawa Railway has its own character with a smiling face 😁.

Pocari is the best travel companion ✨. So let’s get on board the Thomas ✨. The Thomas train is available for 3,400 yen per ride. Same-day tickets are sometimes sold out, so it is recommended to make reservations in advance to board the train. After passing through the crowd,.., The Thomas is here!

I am waiting for the time of departure wearing the above and black smoke Lots of people are taking pictures. This is the only place in the world where you can ride on the real locomotive Thomas 🚂. Thomas, looking perfectly at the camera, is silently exhaling smoke 🤩.

The Thomas train is only available on certain days of the week. We recommend that you head to the platform as early as possible as it will be very crowded on the day of the train ✨. This is the opposite side from the one you just saw on the maintenance ramp.

Smoke is drifting silently from the chimney. The steam whistle, which often appears in the animation, is attached to the front of the car unlike the original. This is what the top of the vehicle looks like ✨ Also engraved on the side is the letter “1”. You can also see the engine room!

I would have liked to have seen the coal being put in the car while it was running if possible 😢. Let’s get on board 😁. My seat is in car No. 6! Now let’s board the train! The interior of the car looks quite old.

Waiting for departure. The sound of this steam engine is quite exciting ✨ The route starts from Shinkanaya Station to Ieyama Station Ieyama Station, and returns to the station after arriving at Ieyama Station. The departure whistle blew✨. The Thomas departs with a long whistle! Wow! You scared me😅

Everyone is waving to me along the line. I’m off. ✌️ This train is very conspicuous. It’s highly probable that you will be waved at, so be sure to wave back ✨. The Thomas train runs from Shin-Kanaya Station to Ieyama Station and back in about one hour. Passengers are waving to you, too.

Oigawa Railway Shinkokudo level crossing near Shinkanaya Station Clear skies outside the window: ☀️ The view is quite beautiful! It is an SL locomotive, so you can hear the sound of the steam engine from outside the window while it is running.

You can feel the cool early summer breeze through the window. It feels so nice ✨. By the way, this train is not air-conditioned. It is hot in the summer and very cold in the winter 💦. Maybe those things are also the charm of steam locomotives😅. Hydrangeas are blooming along the railway line.

Oigawa Railway has been in operation since 1927 Oigawa Railway is a railway company with a history of over 90 years. The Thomas train began service in 2014. Although we took a big hit in Corona After Corona, the number of visitors has been increasing steadily. The in-car salesman is here✨

It’s pretty shaky, but this lady has a great torso 💪. Many of them are sold only in the car, so I highly recommend you to buy them! The train continues through the residential area and deeper into the canyon ✨. It’s getting greener and greener ✨

Passing through here, you will see the Oi River 😃. Oigawa River comes into view. In fact, the Thomas is on a shortened route due to Typhoon No. 14 in 2022.

Normally, the train would run from Shin-Kanaya Station to Senju Station, but due to typhoon damage, it will run from However, due to typhoon damage, the train runs from Shinkanaya to Ieyama Station, half the amount of service as before. The train is approaching the “Oigawa Daiichi Bridge” at the turnaround point.

The sound of the bridge passing by is irresistible. The train has arrived at Ieyama Station. You can see the Bertie, the bus that follows ahead. You will stay for a few minutes. We will leave again for Shin-Kanaya Station! Now Thomas is going forward in a way that he can pull it off.

It’s a little ridiculous😅. It’s funny because I’ve never been pulled out of a cartoon. If you were riding on this side, you’d see many tea plantations. Shizuoka is Japan’s largest producer of tea! Even here in Shimada City, you can see many tea plantations on the road ✨. Thomas passed the bridge again.

Tea fields are still spreading. It’s time to see the “Passing Station”!

The “Katsudo” station located on the Oigawa Line is a very auspicious station that is believed to be blessed with good luck in entrance examinations and money! It is a very auspicious station that is believed to bring good luck in entrance examinations, money, etc! They passed the passing station✨. Entering a big curve

There were many photographers along the line. This is a railroad crossing near Monde Station. After passing through here, return to Shinkanaya Station. We are back at Shin-Kanaya Station. Your one-hour trip is over. Arrival ✨ It was a bit more bumpy than I expected, but it was a pleasant bump.

This is the interior of the Thomas train. You see the Thomas and Hiro backrest covers ✨. Capacity is 80 passengers per vehicle. A map of the island of Sodor, where Thomas lives, is also on display✨. Many people are getting off. The Thomas was carrying so many people.

Outside, the engineer is seeing us off. Thomas backed out for maintenance. Now, after separating from the passenger car After separating from the passenger car, the car will be transferred to a new car! Near the turntable

Thomas is backing up and going down. After all, the Thomas series is associated with the image of a turntable, isn’t it? Thomas began to rotate with the rhythm. Many of you may know this scene in Thomas.

The official name of the depot here is “Tidmouth Locomotive Depot”. The main locomotives of the Sodor Railway, such as Thomas Percy, are stored here. They look adorable 🚂. We are going back to finish the rolling operation. The workers got in and went too. That’s cool✨ Good luck this afternoon 🤲.

There is a coal yard next to the turntable You can also visit the lumber yard and coal yard at Shin-Kanaya Station! It’s nice that they even show you the back side 😃.

The coal used on the Oigawa Railway is called “pitch briquette coal which is made by crushing coal and hardening it with oil. The coal used on the Oigawa Railway is mainly anthracite coal. Less smoke and fire sparks compared to a regular SL ✨. Next to it is a lumber yard

This wood will be used to ignite the first boiler When the temperature inside the engine room rises, the coal from earlier is added. Another silver tank seen during morning maintenance. This is the water tower at Shin-Kanaya Station. Water is poured into the locomotive’s boiler from here. One tank holds 8,000 liters of water.

Also, there’s a tube connected to the top of Thomas’s head. It’s called a “dust collector.” A device that collects and filters the smoke from the SL being prepared. Behind it is a maintenance warehouse.

SLs have many replacement parts and some parts are no longer produced. Therefore, it is necessary to inspect the SL frequently. We do a major overhaul every three years. Oigawa Railway’s regular train is being maintained at the back of the train.

I’m hungry, so I’m going to eat across the street. I’m going to eat at PLAZA LOCO across the street. Thomas welcomes you as soon as you open the door✨. To the right of it, Thomas Plarail is for sale ✨. “Souvenir Corner” I found the bento corner ✨ This is it! Thomas Lunchbox✨

Thomas postcard is included. That’s the outer box with Thomas and Bertie chasing each other. Buy a drink too ✨ And buy Thomas bottled water! Here is a picture of our friends on the island of Sodor. There is a food and beverage area at the back of the plaza Let’s eat here✨ Don!

Let’s eat then! A postcard was attached! It will be a good souvenir of your visit to Oigawa Railway. I’ll send it to my Thomas-loving friend who recently had a baby. Pucker up! Thomas has come to say hello! Looks delicious!!! The Thomas Nori and chicken rice are so cute: ❤️

There is a Percy on the lid! Yummy~! Well, it’s just water inside 😅 Now that we’re done eating, let’s go play in the attached kids’ room✨. It is behind here! It is truly a room full of Thomas. Seven Thomas units can be seen at least visually.

Thomas and his brothers are standing side by side. Is it my imagination that each car seems to have a different expression? Especially the expression on the second car from the front is insane! I found something interesting. They call it a “charcoal thrower.” Put the coal down from here. Here’s what I’ve accumulated here.

It looks like you’re going to throw it in over this hole. It is quite heavy. I feel a strong sense of weight. The engineer of the SL depends on the situation. He has to put coal in the engine room about once every 5 minutes. It’s quite a tough job, isn’t it?

A previously used SL was also on display. This aircraft, called Izumo, was used at Sumitomo’s cement plant ✨. You can see the letter “1” on your face,, It is the same letter as Thomas! Even the engine room is preserved in fairly good condition!

I was able to see my favorite part, the coupling. It is very powerful. Next to it was a model of the island of Sodor Gordon Percy James, a familiar cast of characters! I also see Edward. And our own Thomas! How was it?

This time we rode the Thomas train! Next time I will ride Bertie and Toby as well✨ Thank you for watching! If you like this video, please subscribe to our channel 😃✨. ~ extra Thank you for watching to the end!

This time we will ride the Toby on the Oigawa Railway in Shizuoka Prefecture, Japan! Running through beautiful mountains. Cute but a little horrifying, huh? Thomas’ friends are all here 🌟. Go to the main story at ‼︎😃 Hello, this is solokame trip 🐢. This is Senkashira Station on the Oigawa Railway in Shizuoka Prefecture.

Here at Sento Station, you can board the Toby! That side is the station. Same-day tickets for the Toby train ride are available here. The price is 1800 yen (12.56$) You can also meet “James” and “Percy” at Senkashira station You can meet “James” and “Percy”.

By the way, please note that it does not work. Let’s proceed ✨ I’ve already pre-ordered my ticket, so I’ll pick it up and head for the platform. The home is at the back here. “Toby the Rickshaw” stop I’m at the entrance 😃. There was! It’s the locomotive Toby ✨ Let’s get closer!

This one also has the same adorable face as Thomas✨. Toby is a wooden locomotive, so it has a wood grain and gentle character!

By the way, this grate on the bottom of the car body is a remnant of the fact that he was a road steam locomotive. It is a remnant of the fact that he was a steam locomotive of the road surface. On the side is the trademark number 7 on the body

Toby will also be the only wooden steam locomotive in the work! Let’s go for a ride ✨ The carriages being pulled by the trolley are in the atrium. “Toby the Rickshaw.” My seat is in the last row, car 5.

Here is a view of the inside of the car! Thomas and his friends are printed on the backrest! Thomas and James are showing us a two-shot. On this side is Toby, who is riding this time. He looks a little ugly…? You can also find Thomas and friends on the ceiling✨

The attendant will lock the door and prepare for departure😅. (Toby) Come on, it’s time to start your leisurely journey with me✨ (Toby) Are you ready? Let’s get going! ✨ I heard the sound of the whistle! The train is departing, all right, and it’s on its way!

On the other side, everyone on the platform is waving I can’t get enough of the sound of the train whistle. The train rounds a curve and passes through a railroad crossing in front of Sento Station It is a unique sound of crossing. The Toby runs in a more mountainous area than the Thomas.

Departing from Senkou Station and heading for Okusen Station This is a trip while also enjoying the magnificent scenery of the Oigawa River. The Toby is Japan’s only apt train. It can safely go up and down even very steep inclines. In fact, it is an amazing railroad that climbs the steepest gradient in Japan.

You will enjoy the greenery while feeling the pleasant breeze of early summer. I arrived at Kawane Ryogoku Station. There are tinker wagons, mischievous wagons, and Rusty at Kawane Ryogoku Station! The tinkering freight car looks angry😅. This is Rusty, a diesel locomotive. I left Kawane Ryogoku Station.

The train goes up the mountain along the Oigawa River. It’s the last car, so the train rails are connected behind it. I can’t get enough of this angle. Pass through the tunnel 😃. It’s a refreshing feeling! ✨ The train passes the “Ryogoku Suspension Bridge

There was Bertie, wasn’t there? There are many billboards like the one I just saw on the road leading from Senkou station. Images from above the suspension bridge Let us introduce you to a little history of the Oigawa Railway. Oigawa Railway is an old-fashioned local railroad that opened in 1925

Originally built to transport lumber in the Oi River basin The Oigawa Railway has become a popular sightseeing route, and with the start of the Thomas train in 2014, it has become a popular tourist attraction. The Thomas train started service in 2014 and became a popular tourist attraction that attracts many visitors.

Let us explain about the Oigawa Railway lines. It is about 37 kilometers long, with beautiful canyons and bridges along the way. The Oigawa Railway starts from Oigawa Onsen Station and runs through the mountains to Kawane Honmachi Station. The train is now on a much more mountainous road.

Back to the history, steam locomotives were used when the line first opened. The powerful sight of the locomotives running on the track was popular among locals and tourists. In the 1960s, electrification progressed and steam locomotives were replaced by electric trains. From this period, the Oigawa Railway strengthened its characteristics as a sightseeing train.

The train passes the railroad bridge. Toby is giving us a tour of the terrain in Japanese. By the way, I am explaining “Sumado Bridge” now. The Sumado Bridge is a wooden arch bridge with a beautiful design that blends in with the landscape. Now we will cross the railroad bridge!

The murmuring of the river and the wind are so nice! Looking straight down, I saw a stairwell, and it was terrifying😅. It would be about 20 meters. I wonder if I would die if I fell. It’s time to cross the railroad bridge✨.

It looks like we’ll be arriving at the turnaround point, Okusen Station, in a few more minutes✨. We see the sign again! This is Harold from Helicopter 🚁. I loved you as a kid… It proceeds with a pleasant rhythm of clanking and clattering.

Before arriving at Okusen station, there was a signboard of our Thomas! Nice smile ✨ I arrived at Okusen Station! The Toby will be consolidated here! The Toby backs down, Toby is moving away. It makes me kind of sad. Now the connection is made from the head side ✨.

We’re quizzing you on the train, but that’s not the point. It’s all about the coupling scene. It’s very powerful. Here’s a close-up of his face. The corners of her mouth are up! Nice smile✨ But in a close-up, it’s more of a horror story. Connection scene Strongly connected 💪.

The connection was made with gusto. The engineers go to work. Wow, I never thought I would be able to see a steam locomotive coupling operation from above! Replace hoses and put in valves.

Next, I plugged in what looked like a large electrical outlet. I wonder if it is the wiring for the electrical system. The work appears to be completed after various inspections After a short break, it’s time for lunch! Kawaneji three-color bento. 9 squares packed with side dishes and rice!

Very Delicious😃 It was delicious ✨ Train returns to Senju Station. The conductor at the platform will see you off. On the way back home, you will be able to see the magnificent nature I think you should actually see this view with your own eyes! The Toby, by the way, is,

I am here. Look this side of the street and it is operating to rave reviews. It’s kind of surreal and pathetic. What a pretty face! I kind of like the drooping eyebrows. It’s a little something really surreal. It makes me laugh. It would be quite unusual to run backwards in an actual cartoon.

The train enters the tunnel. Oh… The surrealism has completely disappeared, and the horror factor has become stronger at once. I’m scared to death. I feel like I’m watching Friday the 13th. How long will this hell last? I hope we can get out of this tunnel soon.

I’m out of the tunnel! We’re back from hell alive✨ On my right, a father and son were also enjoying watching. Passing Kawane Ryogoku Station again Rusty, say goodbye to those tinker wagons. Let’s take a look from the outside for a moment ✨ It is a video with a maximum sense of realism.

We’re back at the railroad crossing in front of Sento Station✨. The trip took about an hour, but it was great because the trolley was so nice and breezy ✨. (Announcer) You have arrived at Senkashira Station✨ Release the connection point and return forward again.

No matter how many times you see it, it’s still powerful. De-coupling. From here, we will go around all the way around again. The train will be linked up in front for the next departure. Next we will look at the consolidation from right beside ✨. Workers will check. Buck begins. ✨Connection ✨ Timing.

We see the consolidated scene for the third time today. It’s pretty powerful. Very cool ✨ You got a glimpse of the teamwork between the driver and the steam train attendant ✨. We’re safe and sound✨ We went back for the afternoon session✨

Is it my imagination that you look sadder than when you are riding? Thomas Fair is being held in Sento Station Let’s meet Thomas’ friends✨ Four friends are assembled. Parents and children are taking a photo. The only place in the world where you can see the real steam locomotives of our friends ✨.

Percy is a small green steam locomotive and is It is mainly responsible for transporting mail and freight trains Let’s get on board ✨ I’m in the engine room✨ This Percy can talk 😀. button! (Percy) Hey~? Where’s Thomas? He keeps talking. Percy is a talker.

Next, let me introduce you to Hiro and James. I never knew a locomotive named Hiro. Hiro is a locomotive that came to England from Japan and It is also a large steam locomotive boasting a special shape I think his face and torso are bigger than James’.

Next is James! I’m sure many of you know him. By the way, not too long ago, this James was also running on the Oigawa Railway. If you are interested, please check it out ✨ It has a bright red body ✨. Vehicle number is 5! So cool!

Finally, the three of us lined up for a commemorative photo ✨. How was this video? This is the only place in the world where you can ride on the Toby, so please come and join us! Thanks for watching! Next time on Bertie the Bus ✨
