【和歌山県】マグロの街！勝浦でマグロ三昧のひとり旅で食べ歩き

A delicacy called “tail fin.” It’s savory and tender and meh! It’s in lemon juice that I put back in hot water and eat it with ponzu! It’s so good I want another serving! Second highball in quick succession! LOL! You should definitely try this one! Highly recommended!
This area is also famous for whale, so we also ordered red sashimi! Too delicious…this pace, I might be in trouble…lol Tuna tataki Dissolve some wasabi in soy sauce and pour it over… Sashimi level tuna pounded real tataki Too good… I couldn’t help but whisper, “Yeah!” I say! LOL!

I became friends with the customer next door who was drinking alone and we chatted for about 2 hours. LOL He was a government official in his working days! It was fun to hear good stories! Also the owner of this restaurant if you thought that was the customer sitting next to him!
He’s starting a guesthouse! Maybe next time I’ll come with my family? They seem to be willing to discuss taking dogs as long as they don’t rough it! I’m glad he invited me to come to his house when I was walking alone!

Here comes the tuna dismantling show! Please watch for a while! I just had breakfast and it’s limited to 20 meals, 500 yen! Eeeee! Consecutive breakfasts! LOL! I have a weakness for the word “limited” … lol 500 yen for this? Too cheap! Looks like they already have enough tuna for next year…
I couldn’t help but whisper, “Delicious!” I say. LOL! Tuna in miso soup, too! It was delicious! Thank you for the food! A boat was docked at the back of the Nigiwai Market, so we’re going for a stroll! Do they catch tuna on these boats? Somehow working at sea is cool!
Katsuura fishing port seen from the jetty Back at the parking lot after buying souvenirs, we find a footbath! They offer 1 hour free with 2,000 yen spent at the market! Souvenir is this never-seen-before clear soy sauce! And fried moray eel. That’s about it for this time!
生のまま水揚げされる鮪としては日本一の水揚げ高を誇る「勝浦漁港」とれたての生の鮪を堪能できる日本でも数少ない「漁師直送市場」。冷凍マグロではなく生のマグロが食べてみたいと思い、ひとり旅をしてきました。タクシーの運転手にオススメされた勝浦の名店「竹原」。大将といろんな話をさせてもらい楽しかった。その後、街を散策していたら声をかけられお店に入った「No.9」というおでん屋さん。ひとり飲みしていたお役人さんOBの方と2時間近く話をさせてもらい、その隣の客席にはこの店のオーナーが客っぽく飲んでいてビックリ！とても楽しくひとり旅が出来ました。
前回の和歌山も楽しかったので今回は勝浦にしたのですがこの街も楽しい！最近ドハマり中の和歌山をご覧ください。
