Grand Hyatt Tokyo, 5-Star Luxury Hotel in Roppongi Hills, Japan (full tour)

Wellcome to the luxury hotel “Grand Hyatt Tokyo” located in Roppongi Hills, Japan. I will introduce the room I stayed at at Grand Hyatt Tokyo, dinner and breakfast, and the illuminations. Please enjoy the hotel tour. I am currently in front of Mori Tower in Roppongi Hills.

Roppongi Hills is a complex that opened in April 2003 and consists of office buildings, commercial facilities, residences, hotels, and more. When I visited, it was Christmas season, so it was decorated in Christmas style. The brown buildings are Roppongi Hills Residence. Roppongi Hills Residence is one of the famous tower apartments in Japan.

We can see Tokyo Tower. The street below is called Keyakizaka Street and is beautifully illuminated in winter. Keyakizaka Street is home to luxury brand boutiques such as Louis Vuitton, Rolex, Gucci, and Keaton. The Grand Hyatt Tokyo where I will be staying is located at the end of Keyakizaka Street.

I arrived in front of Grand Hyatt Tokyo. Grand Hyatt Tokyo opened on April 25, 2003 and is a 21-story hotel with 387 guest rooms. Let’s enter from this entrance. There are Christmas decorations. The photo was taken in the winter of 2023, which coincides with the hotel’s 20th anniversary.

There are wedding halls and fragrance shops in this area. FUEGUIA is a luxury fragrance shop from Buenos Aires. There are various fragrances. This is a wedding salon. The hotel has 10 different restaurants, which are very comprehensive. For dinner, I go to a teppanyaki restaurant.

There is a lobby reception desk in the back. Grand Hyatt is one of the Hyatt hotel brands. The lobby is on the left. The wall decorations are Christmas-themed. There is an Italian cafe called Fiorentina where we can have tea and meals. There is a pastry boutique.

There are about 30 types of cakes, tarts, baked goods, and freshly baked bread. This is the elevator hall. The name of the hotel facility is written on it. There are 6 elevators. The brown walls are impressive. Let’s move to the room. The elevator stops from the 1st floor to the 21st floor.

This is the elevator hall on the guest room floor. We can see Roppongi Hills Mori Tower (office building) and Tokyo Tower. Let’s move to the hallway with the room. The hallway has a calm atmosphere. I’m going to do a room tour.

This room is called the Diplomat Suite. There is stylish lighting at the entrance. A passageway leading to the living room. There is a mini bar on the left side of the aisle. This is a Nespresso machine commonly found in luxury hotels. Let’s look at coffee. There are 5 types of coffee flavors.

There are bottles of water. It says NATURAL MINERAL WATER. There are teacups next to it. The black teacups and white teapot create a nice color balance. Check the shelf below. It’s green tea. It’s a French tea called ROUGE. Then there are sugars, etc. Wine glasses and a bottle opener.

This paper is a welcome message. It’s a red wine called Les Hauts de Bordazahar. There are coffee cups on the bottom shelf. It’s small. I’ll look at the other shelves. Lots of glasses. There are 5 types of alcohol. A red wine called Chateau Loudenne Rouge. There are snacks next door.

Electric kettle from Italian home appliance brand De’Longhi. Minibar price. It’s about 6 times the price of a regular store. Mitsubishi Electric GRAN PELTIER refrigerator. Beers and Red Bull. Soda water and Aquarius, etc. Champagnes inside. Soft drinks. Let7s look beyond the door opposite the minibar. Toilet and sink.

BALMAIN is a leading Parisian brand of soap. This is the same brand’s body lotion. The toilet is a TOTO toilet. There is art on the top and the walls are stylish. Although the hotel opened in 2003, it doesn’t feel old at all. This is the living room. I like the color scheme.

The room size is 100 square meters (1076 ft²). The main colors are mabogany and ivory. A mysterious object by the window. These are high quality speakers from Denmark called Bang & Olufsen. The windows have blind switches. This room has a good view. We can see Tokyo Tower.

The brown buildings are Roppongi Hills Residence Buildings C and B. If we look down, we can see Keyakizaka Street. We can also see the Ebisu area. It’s a very good direction. This chair has a dark color. There is a book next to it.

It looks like the photo was taken by a photographer named Yoshihiko Ueda. On the other side is the sofa. According to their website, they seem to carry a lot of furniture from the B&B ITALIA brand. Shine Muscat on the center table. I think this is a perk of the suite.

The TV is a fairly normal size. This is Sharp’s AQUOS. It looks like Onkyo audio is connected. Since this is a 2003 hotel, there are no YouTube or Netflix buttons on the TV channels. Sayuri Ishikawa’s DVD. Movie DVD. TOSHIBA’s REGZA. Bang & Olufsen speakers.

Nature. Is it a DVD where you can listen to nature music? Art on top. It’s a spicy sweet. This is the same sweets as the standard room. Only suites have chocolate. There are many types of sweet rice crackers. Guide to Tokyo by Louis Vuitton. Inside is written in English. Also Louis Vuitton.

There are many books. I like houseplants. Bedroom next to it. Artwork on the wall. Bang & Olufsen speaker below. There is a desk here. I’ll take a look at the drawer. Room service menu. It’s the bottom tier. Beds and amenities are on sale. There is nothing in the other drawers.

The phone is on the desk. Outlets and USB ports. LAN cable hole and outlet hole. This item is listed as a rental item. The room is non-smoking. If you are found smoking, you will be charged an additional night’s accommodation fee. The trash can is a mabogany color that matches the walls.

This is the bedroom. The beds are made with Frette’s highest quality Egyptian cotton linen. Houseplants in the bedroom too. View from the window. We can see the direction of Shibuya area. We can barely see the Shinjuku area. PANASONIC air purifier. The chairs and cushions are a dark color. Bedside. Curtains and light switches.

It is said to be made from Frette’s highest quality Egyptian cotton linen, so it feels very comfortable to the touch. Pillows and bed are a little soft. TV in front of the bed. This is SHARP’s AQUOS. A mysterious object on top of the TV. Is it actually a speaker?

Promotional video playing on TV. It’s a very nice video. The images are beautiful and you will be absorbed in watching them. Washbasin next to the bedroom. There is a walk-in closet in the back. There is an iron and bathrobe above. Safety box is well placed. There is an ironing board and yoga mat.

It’s a nice hanger. The slippers have a unique design. Grand Hyatt bag. Shoe care set. Laundry set underneath. The yukata also has a unique design. It’s the same pattern as the slippers. I’ll take a look at the wash basin. SHARP LCD TV. It’s a shining mirror. Cups. BALMAIN body lotion and soap.

Grand Hyatt clock. Hairdryer. This is a REPRONIZER used by luxury hotels. Amenities. It is opened at night. Towel. SOEHNLE weight scale. Door between sink and bathroom. This is the toilet. It is placed in a good place. Bathroom. It seems that limestone is used for the walls.

Shampoo and body soap are BALMAIN. I think it was JUNE JACOBS a few years ago. The shower head is pretty standard. There is a rain shower upstairs. The bathtub is similar to the one at Roppongi Hills Residence. There are towel and bath salts. There are three of these bath salts.

It looks like bath salts used in spas. Loofah sponge and soap. Grand room. This is a standard type room. I’ll post a video after this. The Ambassador Suite is a higher rank room than the suite we stayed in this time. It is distinctive that the inside is Japanese style.

There is some stylish art in the bedroom. The presidential suite is the most expensive. This room features a high ceiling and a private pool. It seems that it is 290 square meters (3121 ft²). This is a private pool.

The Grand Room is a standard type room at the hotel. There is a minibar and mirror in the aisle. This is a one-room type room with a bed and desk. There are rooms with views of Keyakizaka Street or Tokyo Tower. We can choose between double and twin beds. A sink and a bathroom.

Nespresso machine and coffee capsules. Water,s teacups, pod, etc. are the same as in suites. Beers and Red Bull. Soft drinks, waters, soda waters, champagnes. Liquor, glasses, electric kettle, etc. are almost the same as in the suite. Minibar price list. Laundry set. The yukata is the same as the suite. Snacks are provided.

A variety of guest services are provided. Room bedding and amenities are available for sale. The TV screen is the same as the suite. There is an ottoman and a chair by the window. The light switches are the same type as the suite.

The suite had Bang & Olufsen speakers, but the standard room did not. The clock is the same as the suite. Coset. Bathrobes, iron and ironing board are provided. Shoe horn, indoor slippers, etc. Wash basin. BALMAIN amenities. The dryer is a repronizer. Basic amenities are available. There is a toilet near the sink.

The bathtub in the bath is the same as the suite and is spacious. Comes with a rain shower. Even a standard room seems to be enough for just one night. I think it’s a very nice room. There is a welcome drink as a bonus on the hotel reservation site.

Take the elevator to the 6th floor. There are Japanese, sushi, steak, and Chinese restaurants on the 6th floor. On the right is a Japanese restaurant called “Shunbou”. I think it’s easy to use for both dates and business. This is an Edomae sushi restaurant called Rokuryoku. There are counter seats and table seats.

This is a terrace seat at a steak restaurant called Oak Door. This is a Chinese restaurant called China Room. Let’s go to Oak Door. Oak Door is easy to make reservations and I think it’s easy to use for dates or business. The restaurant is on the left as we enter.

There is a bar on the right. We will receive a welcome drink here. I ordered the non-alcoholic cocktail Nostalgia. A stylishly colored non-alcoholic cocktail. Next, I will guide you to the club lounge. The official name is Grand Club. This is the reception. Lots of tables. The inside is deep and spacious.

Coffee and tea are available during the day. Let’s take a closer look inside. There are a lot of art works. There is also a table further back. There are art books etc. My impression is that there are a lot of tables compared to the number of users.

The windows are also wide. Directionally, it will be on the west and south sides of the building. It’s the best place to spend a relaxing time with few people. There are snacks, so I’ll take a look. Chocolate crunch sweets and Baumkuchens. There are 3 types of cookies.

There are also gummy and chip sweets. Milks and coffees are available. There are coffee cups and a coffee machine next to it. I ordered herbal tea. There aren’t many types of sweets, but it gives the impression that it’s a relaxing space.

At night, we can catch a glimpse of the illuminations of Keyakizaka Street from here. Evening cocktail time at the club lounge. Light meals and drinks will be served during the evening cocktail hour. Take the dishes and cutlery. Focaccias. Roast beefs. Vegetables such as pumpkin. Carpaccio. Peat salads. Move to another table.

Lettuce, dressings and seasonings. Tuna dish, soy sauce. Tofu. Move to another place. Stir-fried chicken and takoyaki. Nuts and potato chips. Snacks such as cheese. Desserts. Fruits. Coffee corner. I think the variety of food available during the evening cocktail time is quite large. We can see the illumination. There is one more table.

Vegetable gyozas. White fishes. There weren’t many Japanese customers in the club lounge, and it felt like 80% were foreign customers. Night view seen from the elevator hall. First up is Roppongi Hills Mori Tower. Tokyo Tower is shining. I will also look at the night view from my room. Tokyo Tower lit up.

Roppongi Hills Residence. Below is the illumination of Keyakizaka Street. Night view of Ebisu. There are illuminations at Ebisu Garden Place, but you can’t see them from here. The night view of Tokyo is beautiful. Night view from the bedroom window. The front is towards Shibuya.

In the direction of Shinjuku, we can see the Yoyogi Docomo Tower lit up. Wecan see many skyscrapers in the Shibuya area. The tallest building is Shibuya Scramble Square. Illumination of the Christmas tree on the first floor. It is beautifully lit up at night. I went outside.

Let’s tart from the edge of Keyakizaka street. The illuminations at Roppongi Hills are held from early November until Christmas, December 25th. The event time is from 17:00 to 23:00. Amidst the warm city lights of Keyakizaka, which stretches for approximately 400 meters, a fantastical scene of light from “SNOW&BLUE” spreads out.

The illuminations at Roppongi Hills have been environmentally friendly and have been using LED lights since opening in 2003. Furthermore, they utilize clean electricity through the “Green Power Certificate” system. The illuminations at Roppongi Hills and Tokyo Midtown are among the most popular illuminations in Tokyo. In front of the Louis Vuitton shop.

The view from here is beautiful. The illumination of Tokyo Tower changes daily. It is co-sponsored with JRA. There is a Rolex boutique. This is in front of the Giorgio Armani boutique. There is Tsutaya Bookstore and Starbucks. We can see Azabudai Hills, which opened in November 2023.

I came to the end of Keyakizaka Street. The illuminations are almost the same every year. In front of TV Asahi. It looks like DIOR is preparing for a pop-up event for a limited time during the holiday season. Roppongi Hills Mori Tower at night. It is not perfectly circular, but has an irregular shape.

This spot is called Mouri Garden. There is a DIOR Christmas tree. There were admission restrictions on this day, so I couldn’t go inside. This is a video from the previous year. The previous year was right around the time the new Avatar movie was released, and it was based on Avatar.

The illumination of Mouri Garden is also beautiful. There was a DIOR event last year as well. Back to this year’s footage. There is a JRA Christmas tree. The night view from this bridge is popular. We can see Keyakizaka illuminated.

We can see Tokyo Tower lit up from here. It wasn’t very bright at this time of the day. A Christmas market is held every year. It is said to be a reproduction of the Christmas market in Stuttgart, Germany, which is said to be the largest in the world.

There are a total of 10 stores selling original German Christmas goods and authentic German food such as mulled wine and sausages. I like the Christmas decorations. The sausage looks delicious.

Although the photo was taken in late November, there were still quite a few people there. It looks like there will be a lot of people around Christmas. We can also enjoy alcoholic beverages such as wine. This is in front of the movie theater. Tokyo Revengers (Japanese cartoons) event is being held.

There is a beautiful tree in the back. The illumination around here changes greatly every year. It’s in front of an office building, so there are a lot of people, including businessmen and tourists. Enter the Hollywood Beauty Plaza building. There are popular brand fashion shops and restaurants.

There is also a Christmas tree under this. I’ll go outside. The lighting around here is also beautiful. In front of the North Tower. Ahead of this is Roppongi Station on the Hibiya Line. It is convenient because we can go directly to Roppongi Hills from Roppongi Station on the Hibiya Line.

Return to the front of Mori Tower. Night Forest Tower. Many people may think of this building when they think of Roppongi Hills. Last year there was a large Cartier Christmas tree around here. Move to West Walk, home to luxury brand shops and restaurants. A Cartier advertisement is pasted on it.

Christmas means presents. Gifts are on display. There is a Balenciaga shop on the right. Jo Malone and Cartier. Saint Laurent. There are various luxury brand shops. Gucci. Bottega Veneta. This year there is a Cartier Christmas tree here. A red Cartier box is casually displayed. This concludes the illumination.

We can go to Grand Hyatt Tokyo from West Walk. There is a driveway ahead. Return to hotel. This is the lobby. There are many restaurants, and there are many people, not just hotel guests. The stairs on the right are lit. The elevator hall at night is also beautiful.

This is a restaurant on the 6th floor. I have been to all of the restaurants and can recommend them all. The restaurant is of a high standard, but the prices are on the high side. I’m going to dinner now. I’m going to a teppanyaki restaurant called Keyakizaka.

Go down the stairs from the 6th floor to the 4th floor. The location is a little difficult to find, so you may get lost when you first come. The entrance door is also difficult to find. Go inside the restaurant. There is a kitchen in the center, with tables arranged in a U-shape.

Ingredients are placed there. Menu. The cheapest course costs around ¥22,000 ($160). Champagne will be served as a drink service. 1st meao: Fruit tomato salad, pancetta, basil, olive oil. The chef is mixing basil and olive oil. The chef is making a sauce to put on the tomatoes. The chef is warming up the tomatoes.

Pour the sauce over the tomatoes and serve. It looks delicious. 2nd meal: Sauteed Hokkaido scallops, Maitake mushrooms, lemon butter and soy sauce. The scallops are being cooked. The scallops are freshly grilled and are very delicious. 3rd meal: Steamed horse mackerel from Nagasaki prefecture with vegetables and truffle stock.

4th meal: Tokyo Akigawa Keyakizaka beef sirloin 90g served with vegetables. Grill the vegetables first, then the meat. It’s nice to be able to watch the food being prepared right in front of your eyes. It looks like the meat and vegetables are cooked. Accompanied by rock salt and 3 types of sauces.

The meat was delicious. Next is garlic rice. Looking at it makes me want to eat it quickly. Garlic rice is ready. The portions are modest. The rest is miso soup and pickles. Dessert is pear flambéed pear sorbet from Yamanashi Prefecture. It looks like frozen sherbet was slightly melted over a fire.

The dessert was also delicious. Cafe au lait and sugar after dinner. Chocolate for palate cleansing. Return to the room and prepare for bathing. Drop bath salts. I took a bath and changed into a bathrobe. The desk is easy to use. Bang & Olufsen speakers are pretty good. You can play music. Amenities.

Sewing kit. Toothbrush. Razor. Kushi. Cotton, cotton swabs, files, etc. There are no hair ties or lotion. Prices of beds, bath items, and amenities. It’s a decent price. Room service. A set of 3 rice balls, miso soup, and pickles costs ¥1,870 ($13), which is more expensive than normal. Nabeyaki udon is ¥3,080 ($20).

Room service at luxury hotels is expensive. I think it can’t be helped since there is a service charge etc. I have stayed at this hotel many times and it says Welcome back to. Preparing for bed. The doors of each room can be closed. The futon is quite soft to the touch.

The view from the bed is good. It’s the next morning. I woke up to the hotel alarm clock. The view from the bedroom window is also good. It’s cloudy on this day, but if it’s a clear day, you can probably see Mt. Fuji. Living room window.

The great thing about it is that we can see Tokyo Tower. The view of Tokyo Tower from Roppongi Hills Mori Tower is also good, and this area has a high degree of completion. Breakfast at the club lounge. It’s a buffet style. Salads. Tomatoes. Corns. There are two types of dressing.

There are lots of breads on other tables. A toaster and jam are also available. Bacons and sausages. Spanish Omelets. Boiled eggs on the side. Sausages. Pickles. Omelets. Grilled fishes. There is porridge and white rice. Japanese food corner. Fruits and cereals. Milks, desserts, nattos, etc. There are yogurts and hams.

There are juices on other shelves. Take vegetable juice. It was an unbalanced mix of Japanese and Western food, but I tried a variety of things. Croque monsieur, salad, yogurt, and vegetable juice.

Breakfast had a decent variety, but it would have been even better if there was a chef who could make the omelets live. NAGOMI SPA & FITNESS is located on the 5th floor. This is the entrance and reception. Wristband and lockers.

It seems that photography is not allowed in the pool etc., so I will watch a video of the room. There is a gym. It’s not that wide. 20m pool with 3 lanes. The glowing jacuzzi is impressive. There is also a beauty salon.

There is also a sauna and bathhouse. I think the facilities are complete. There is a massage chair in the changing room. When I tried to enter the Italian cafe, it was full. It looks like a cafe menu. desserts, drinks etc. Light course meals such as pasta are also available in the evening.

I photographed the French kitchen on another day. The breakfast set is around ¥4000 ($27). There are Western and Japanese set menus. Take the stairs to the second floor. I’ll go inside. It’s quite spacious inside. There are mainly table seats, but there are also counter seats and private rooms.

I was seated in a place like a couple seat. It’s semi-buffet style, and we can choose egg dishes. Let’s take a look at the buffet table. There’s a lot of bread. There are more varieties than in the club lounge. Salads on another table. The salad is similar to the club lounge.

Salmons and yogurts. Japanese foods such as dashi-wrapped eggs and natto. Superfoods. Hams, etc. Miso soup. White rice. He will serve the rice. Boiled or scrambled eggs. Curry and salmons. Roast beefs. Bacons, hash browns, and sausages. Tomatoes and broccolis. Potatoes or bread puddings. Shrimp gyozas. Lots of fruits. I get the yogurt.

Because there are more people, the restaurant breakfast is more luxurious than the club lounge. It’s good that there are a lot of egg dishes here. I ordered eggs benedict. The eggs are runny. Ham is on it. I put curry on rice. Breakfast is nice. The atmosphere of the restaurant is also nice.

This restaurant offers course meals in the evening, but it is one of the better value for money restaurants at Grand Hyatt. Lots of alcohol. If we look closely, there are also artworks. Check-out time is normally 12:00, but as a member benefit of hotel reservation site Ikyu, it was now 13:00. Check out.

Prices vary depending on the season, but a standard room costs ¥80,000 ($540) per night, and a suite costs around ¥300,000 ($2,000). We can see the terrace seats of the Italian cafe. I’m going to have a lunch. Indian curry restaurant. I recommend the set menu for lunch. The restaurant is decorated for Christmas. Salad.

Ice chai. Mixed grill set. Tandoori chicken, saffron rice, naan, and two types of curry. Shrimp curry. Sweet. Chicken curry. A little spicy. I had a great stay at Grand Hyatt Tokyo and Roppongi Hills. It’s a very well-equipped hotel, but the room and meal prices are generally high.

Roppongi Hills also has an observation deck, so it is recommended when sightseeing in Tokyo. Thank you for your viewing.

    石川さゆりではなく、昔の映画ですよ〜。主人公チャン・ツィイーの役名がさゆりなのです。

  4. Are there Hot and Cold pools in the sauna's like in park Hyatt tokyo? If so, are they big or very tiny crowded?

  6. As soon as you opened the room door, too westernized. It literally screams I'm everything but Japanese. Pass. Do they not have any accommodations in Japan that's more traditional?

  7. How is visiting Tokyo in the winter? I know it can get blistering hot in the summer so I was looking at going around the fall or spring; if winter is nice I’d consider it!
