Trivia: Okinawa was under control of the US military after the World WarⅡbut returned to Japan in 1972. However US traffic rules remained and all vehicles were running on the right side. But on July 30th 1978, the traffic rules finally changed back to the Japanese way and vehicles started running on the left side just like all other places in Japan. They built a monument and people started calling this place 730 Crossing. You can see the sign engraved on the rock of the monument showing the traffic change from right side to left side.

One more trivia. You saw a statue at the end of this video. That is a monument of a former boxing world champion Yoko Gushiken who is from Ishigaki Island. He is a funny guy and many young Japanese kids may think he is a comedian but he is a real champion!

I look forward to visiting the Okinawan archipelago just as soon as our governments end their hysterical obsession with Covid and population control and international travel restrictions are lifted. Thank you for doing your channel, I will live vicariously for now and start scribbling down recommendations and helpful tips offered by good content creators like yourself. 🙂
