■Description
Ise Jingū or Ise Grand Shrine is in a serene forest of Mie Prefecture. Commonly called Ise Jingū, it’s official name is simply Jingū. It is considered as the most sacred shrine in the country. Ise Jingū is a shrine complex composed of 125 Shinto shrines centered on two main shrines, Kōtai Jingū and Toyouke Daijingū. Kōtai Jingū is commonly called Naikū, The Inner Shrine, and Toyouke Daijingū is called Gekū, The Outer Shrine.
Near the entrance of Naikū, there is a historical merchant district called Okage Yokocho, literally means the streets of gratitude. You can find souvenirs of Ise or enjoy snacks to go!

伊勢神宮（いせじんぐう）は三重県（みえけん）にある、美しい（うつくしい）森（もり）の中の神社です。正式（せいしき）な名前は『神宮（じんぐう）』と言います。神道（しんとう）で、最高位（さいこうい）の神社と言われています。皇大神宮（こうたいじんぐう）と豊受大神宮（とようけだいじんぐう）と言う、二つの大きなエリアがあります。一般（いっぱん）には皇大神宮は内宮（ないくう）と呼ばれ、豊受大神宮は外宮（げくう）と呼ばれています。伊勢神宮のまわりには125の神社があり、まとめて神宮と言います。
内宮の前にはおかげ横丁（よこちょう）と言う、小さな商店街（しょうてんがい）があります。おみやげを買ったり、食べ歩きができる楽しいところです。
