“I’m contemplating the influences of my dad’s culture on myself- especially his strong desire to work hard, as he was encouraged to do, and how that inspires me in striving to always do my best. Working to get the best possible image, I rise at 4 am and venture out into the chilly 16 degrees F morning to photograph the lake and moon. I select the 17mm Tilt and Shift lens and carefully focus to get both the close foreground of rocks and ice with the mountains in the background in good focus. Using f/16 to get a moon burst, like a starburst but with the moon that doesn’t happen at smaller number (wider) apertures. I limit the shutter to 30 seconds to prevent motion blur of the moon, causing me to raise the ISO until I get a proper exposure. I planned this around the full moon to get the twilight and mountains in the same photograph.” -@jenwuphoto, #CanonExplorerOfLight.
