Here are three quick #toptips to take your wildlife photography to the next level:
– if you are photographing animals that move a lot, choose a faster shutter speed to avoid motion blur. For fast moving birds you may need to shoot at 1/2000 sec or higher.
– use a sturdy tripod! Make sure the tripod is strong enough to hold your camera and lens. Aluminium or carbon fibre options keep equipment safe!
– learn about the animals your shooting. What makes wildlife photography difficult is not being able to tell what an animal will do next. But best way to get good shots is to study your subjects beforehand. For instance, what time of day is the subject most active? When do they congregate together? Eat? Simple things like this will save lots of time when it comes to shooting.
