#BehindTheShot of #CanonExplorerOfLight @adam_jones_photo | “This sunrise image from Grand Teton National Park, was made the last week of September, 2019 and fall colors were at peak in the park. I was actually on a private workshop with a client and we hired a local guide to show us some of his favorite scenic locations and wildlife areas. At first the sky didn’t look that great, but as the sun rose, the sky just kept getting better and better. In a high contrast scene like this, I always bracket my exposures by as much as 3 stops overexposed to 3 stops under exposed. It is best to use a tripod when bracketing images in this matter, but not absolutely required. Bracketing like this ensures the dynamic range of the image is captured well on the camera sensor. Later in post processing the 5-7 bracketed images, are blended together into a single HDR image, thus ensuring detail even in the darkest shadows and brightest highlights. My goal with HDR, is to render the scene the way I saw it, not for any special effect.” Camera: #Canon 5D Mark IV
