Experience a full walking tour through Toyokawa Inari and its surrounding temple town in Aichi Prefecture.
This walk begins near the station, passing through the temple approach streets before entering the grounds. Along the way, you’ll pass small local shops, quiet side streets, and everyday scenes around one of Japan’s most well-known Inari temples.
Inside the complex, the route moves through main halls, wooded paths, and quieter areas, including Reikozuka (霊狐塚), the Sacred Fox Mound filled with hundreds of stone fox statues. These foxes, known as kitsune, are believed to be messengers of Inari, the deity associated with prosperity and business success.
The walk then returns through the town, completing a full loop back toward the station.
