Korean Lady Treats Me Like Her Son ๐Ÿ‡ฐ๐Ÿ‡ท

Welcome back to another video!
In this video…
I wake up after a cold night of camping by the Hangang River and get back on the road for another day of cycling through South Korea. Along the way, I pass historic war memorials, quiet riverside roads, and some incredible spring scenery as the cherry blossoms start to hit full bloom.

One of the highlights of the day is returning to Yeonpung, one of my favorite small towns in Korea. I stop for a great local meal, push through one of the toughest climbs on the route, and meet some really kind people along the way, including fellow cyclists out on their own journey.

This turned into one of those classic Korea riding days, beautiful roads, unexpected conversations, good food, mountain climbs, and a peaceful place to end the night.

Thanks for watching, and if you enjoyed the video, please like, comment, and subscribe for more cycling adventures around Korea.

  8. My huge thank you to Nick K. You are allowing me to see what the Republic of Korea looks like today. I had three tours of duty with the US Army, beginning in June 8th, 1969 to July 3rd, 1970; again in November 12th, 1971 to December 12th, 1973; again in December 15th, 1975 to January 15th, 1977, my last time in the Republic of Korea. I have very strong ties to the Republic of Korea, my first wife – was Korean-born, and she was born during the Korean War; my firstborn daughter was born in Seoul, South Korea; she is Korean. My last word is, โ€œI was 17 years old when I arrived in Korea.โ€ Again, thank you for touring in Korea.
You are seeing the Korea that I deeply โ€œLOVE.โ€ A wonderful people full of โ€œLOVE and KINDNESS.โ€

  21. Yes. In the past, the Japan ๐Ÿ‡ฏ๐Ÿ‡ต sovereigned Korea. My hometown had been ruled by Japan ๐Ÿ‡ฏ๐Ÿ‡ต. So I really like Korea ๐Ÿ‡ฐ๐Ÿ‡ท. It was the same as Japan ๐Ÿ‡ฏ๐Ÿ‡ต. Japan is clean and so is Korea. Japan is number one. Korean is next number two.
