I visited Kiyomizu-dera in Kyoto in the early afternoon on a weekday.
Even though it wasn’t the weekend, the place was far more crowded than expected.
Around 90% of the visitors felt like international tourists, giving the temple an almost overseas atmosphere.
Plum blossoms were in full bloom, adding beautiful seasonal colors to the historic scenery.
