In this video, we take a slow daytime walk through Changchun, filmed in early March 2026, when winter is slowly giving way to early spring in northeastern China.

Our walk begins along Xinmin Avenue, one of the city’s historic boulevards lined with wide streets and institutional buildings. From there, we move toward Zhongtai Ocean World, an area that blends modern entertainment spaces with everyday city movement. The route continues to Culture Square, an open public space where locals gather and the city feels wide and calm.

Later, we visit The Hill (Zhe You Shan) Mall, a uniquely designed indoor shopping complex known for its terraced layout that feels almost like walking through a small hillside town. Finally, the walk ends at Guilin Hutong Food Street, where small restaurants and food stalls bring a warmer, livelier rhythm to the winter day.

Rather than focusing on sightseeing, this walk is about atmosphere — the crisp northern air, wide streets, city sounds, and the everyday pace of life in Changchun.
