Hakata Station in Fukuoka is the main station where you can ride the Shinkansen, JR and other local subway trains. This is a very busy station and crowded most of the time. There are so many shops, restaurants,coffee shops and department stores like AMU and Hakata Hankyu. Tha main bus terminal is located on the west side of the station. There are also underground shopping street which is ideal during the winter months due to extremely cold weather.
