概要
北野天満宮の創建は947年（天暦元年）。多治比文子や神良種、最珍らが神殿を建て、菅原道真を祀ったのが始まりです。その後、藤原氏による社殿の大規模な造営がありました。987年に一条天皇の勅使が派遣され、国家の平安が祈念されて以降、「北野天満天神」の神号が認められた。菅原道真は「学問の神さま」、「芸能の神さま」として広く知られ現在も受験生の合格祈願が絶える事がありません。
