120-meter Great Buddha, Ushiku, Ibaraki【solotrip in Japan🇯🇵】
I went to see the Ushiku Daibutsu in Ushiku City, Ibaraki Prefecture.
Standing at 120 meters tall, the Ushiku Daibutsu is the world’s largest bronze Buddha statue and is recognized by Guinness World Records as the “tallest bronze Buddha statue in the world.” At the foot of the statue, a garden reminiscent of the Pure Land stretches out, with vibrant flowers blooming in every season.
The interior of the statue is divided into five levels, each offering a serene and mystical space. You can take an elevator up to the chest area at a height of 85 meters to tour the interior and enjoy the views from windows installed on all four sides.
[Main Access from Tokyo 🚃]
Train (JR Joban Line): Tokyo Station ⇨ Ushiku Station
Bus: Ushiku Station ⇨ Ushiku Daibutsu
Thank you for watching!
