Have you been to Cebu before? ๐ต๐ญ
What surprised you the most about visiting the Philippines?
Seeing Marcelo Fernan Bridge while riding on a taxi.
Yes, for hardcore meat eaters, Cebu has Lecan and many meaty foods for you2. Vegetarians will need a guide, like Happy Cow.
Cebu, Boracay and Pallawan are beautiful places but pretty expensive. The food is delicious. The Filippino's love their meat. Every time I went for a Filippino's party. They had a pig or a goat on the spite. If you go to Thailand. Go to Koh Samui Maenam beach and eat at LILLI KOI. The owner's name are Lilly and Wat. They are husband and wife with 3 kids. Luke, Leon and Lila. If you have dinner over there. or lunch. It is on me. Tell Wat. I will pay for it, when I come there. There are 3 resorts there. The Flourist, BaanFah and My Humble House.
When did you go to Sebu? Did you do a vlog? I don't recall seeing one. ๐ข The Philippines looks like a lovely place to go. Thanks for this vlog. Take care guys โคโค
๐ต๐ญ My friend Susan F. is home in the Philippines soon to return to Seattle, where we live. She is from Cebu city!
I love lechon, too. Piggy-poo, we love you!
I miss Tony Bourdain mightily, by the way.
His suicide did not need to happen.
But, he was under his drug-addled girlfriend's (the second crazy Italian, he hooked up with) spell. She abused him terribly, philandering left, right and center. ๐ฎ
I got sidetracked, sorry.
The Philippines was so dear to Tony! โค
I love malls too!
What did your thumbnail say??? 'DON'T VISIT CEBU'??? Please explain Richard! … ๐
Yes, I think only very few active churches in Cebu impose dress code to both devotees and visitors/tourists and one of which is Basilica del Sto. De Cebu. It's very similar in Thailand where visiting the Grand Palace that contains the religious temple and shrine and residence of their king requires modest attire upon entry. Most other temples don't require the same. Most other Catholic churches in Cebu don't require a dress code.
House of Lechon just got recognition from Michelin with Selected Restaurants honor recently this year during the inaugural edition of Michelin Guide Philippines 2026. A total of 18 restaurants from Cebu were recognized.
Wow, Cebu has about 970,000 ppl. I live in a city that has 285,000 ppl. I canโt even imagine how it is in Manila with 1.9 million ppl.
While you are in Cebu you have to find a family rock band called MISSIONED SOULS ( they are on UTube ) they are fantastic and live in Cebu , cheers Alister in OZ.
