In this video we explore the beautiful onsen village of Nozawa Onsen with a relaxing walking tour through its historic streets. Located in the mountains of Nagano Prefecture, this traditional hot spring town is known for its public bathhouses, peaceful atmosphere, and incredible food.

We start the day at my favorite pancake restaurant near Kanazawa before driving into the mountains to Nozawa Onsen. Over two nights we wander through the village streets, stop for coffee, enjoy pizza, and visit Ōgama (大釜) .. a traditional communal hot spring cauldron where locals cook eggs, vegetables, and other foods using the natural geothermal heat.

This video is a calm, immersive walking experience with natural sounds from the village and perfect if you enjoy SLOW travel, relaxing walks, and discovering small towns in Japan.
