Rishiri-Rebun-Sarobetsu | Cycling in Rishiri Island | National Parks of Japan

Rishiri-Rebun-Sarobetsu National Park is situated in the wilds of northernmost Hokkaido and extends beyond the shore to two smaller islands. The park has a wide variety of landscapes, from volcanic cones to peat marshland and sheer coastal cliffs. It’s also known for rare and colorful plant life. The park is a stopover point for migrating birds such as the Taiga bean goose. On the islands you may spot rare white-tailed eagles, black woodpeckers and whistling swans.
