One of the highlights of this Hokkaido Trip is to see the trees, yes TREES! Trees of Biei in winter scene🌲 Normally, tourists would rent a car or avail a day tour bus from Sapporo to visit Biei and Asahikawa. But I chose to really immerse myself in it’s neighborhood and stayed at Asahikawa for a couple of nights. To have more control of my time, I took a halfday tour departing from Biei Tourist Center to visit the popular winter destinations at ease. The tour commenced at 1:30pm until 6pm, giving me time to explore Biei town in the morning.

The Hikari Koutsu Bus Tour package includes a visit on the following:
– Ken and Mary Tree
– Seven Star Tree
– Mild Seven Tree
– Biei Senka
– Christmas Tree
– Shirogane Blue Pond
– Shirahige Falls

Each stop would have 10 to 15 minutes. I initially thought it was short, but realized that it was enough for photo-taking, taking consideration as well that in some stops, the snow fall was heavy. 😅 Good thing I didn’t attempt to do DIY walking travel to either of trees.

P.S. The vending machine is not included in the tour but is in Biei too 😂
