  1. Right on! Another great video mixing beautiful nature with a bit of travel and insight on an interesting village. Thank you, Quinlan! 👍

  2. Another interesting and beautiful video! And was that a Kemushi appearance at the end..? 🤔 What a collab! 👍

  3. Chains along the path usually scare me, but since I've hiked up to Sanbutsuji on Mitokusan in Tottori and was entirely fine, this seems doable.

  4. Oh, thank you for taking us along on this one! Simply wonderful — and very easy to grasp why that mountain is such a sacred landscape. And that view of Mt. Fuji!

  5. You could take the same train from Ikebukuro to Chichibu as the one featured in the anime Shūmatsu Torein Doko e Iku

  6. Canonってそうだったんですね。知りませんでした😮カッコイイ

  7. Still have to visit Chichibu! It’s not far from Tokyo, but I haven’t made it there yet. 😶 Thanks for sharing your experiences! (your voice is really calming, by the way)

  8. My kind of mountain! Bit of a scramble but the chains are there, no harnesses/ropes and not much of a crowd by the looks of it.

How many of the 100 peaks to go for you?

  9. Wow that is a nice hike. I am not a fan of booked curated experiences but i'd love to climb that mountain. Safe to assume you need a rental car for this, right?

  10. Of course we saw you with Loretta on her channel, the two of you on the Kabuki stage was a hoot! The BBC or The Guardian (UK) has an impressive story about 4 years ago about some evidence that there may still be Japanese wolves in the Chichibu area. You and Paul from "Exjapter" should get together for a discussion about your experiences in Japan. You both have been there for about the same amount of time and are from Madison and about the same age–the differences should be fun to examine!

  11. Thats a thoughtful idea of the Japanese to install chains along difficult stretches of pathways and climbing sections on mountains. Seeing a distant Mt Fuji from the mountains was great. Thanks for sharing your adventure.

  12. Well Chichibu is definitely on my radar now. I was reading about it a week or so ago and now with yours and Loretta’s videos- I’m in!

  13. I love this video so much, what a fantastic place to visit! It has that perfect mix of natural beauty, spirituality and rich culture which Japan does so well. You said 'what is incredibly beautiful is also sacred' which is exactly as it should be.

I loved the Noh theatre part, you looked great and if you were ever thinking of a change in career….. you might have found your calling! 🙂

This video has left me with a huge smile on my face and a big desire to visit that lovely place. Thank you so much for making it.

  14. We will be visiting Shaleah senpai in Iwate at the start of April and will be exploring Morioka and the surrounding area!! I can't wait to Go North!!!
