I like the way Sho cooks, it's pretty much how I do it just eyeballing it and tasting (I hate using precise recipe's that's why I can cook but not bake).
The hops seem processed nothing wrong with that but I expected that he would use "fresh" ones. Not sure if it is available in Japan too but here you can buy a home brewing kit, since it is not heated it takes a lot longer though but it is really fun I can recommend it.
The google photo translate function is probably what I would also use if I travel to Japan. I notice more and more by the way that there are 2 different ways of writing in Japan, one vertically top to bottom and one horizontally. Is there a specific reason/situation on why that is or when it is used?
I am not sure if I would like the beer personally since it has no head (Foam on top) which can be expected since there is no carbonation.
I’m flying back to Tokyo in early March and may stop by. One pet peeve of mine though are menus that have some English, but are mostly in Japanese (especially the food menu here). Why bother doing that? Either have a full Japanese menu (we can use apps to translate) or have a full English alternative. There isn’t anything “sexy” about using a few or some English words on menus. Unless that’s a local Japanese thing to help y’all learn more English. 😉

I’ve just gotten home from my local supermarket, and picked up my usual 4 bottles of asahi, but for the first time ever I found 2 cans of Sapporo beer!
