No norte de Portugal,na divisão com a Galicia,há nevasca,no inverno,às vezes,também, em Chaves. Muitos se divertem a fazer bonecos de neve,atirar flocos uns aos outros.Faz frio mas é bom para assar castanhas,e um bom vi nho.

hospital de inverno, acho que no canal Portugal 360º graus que assisto sempre que ele posta
um video, assim como assisto os teus, essa ventania aqui em São Paulo é o motido da caida
de muitas árvores porque a manutenção é pessima, elas caem sobre casas, carros, fiação e
não muito raro deixam a cidade com tres dias sem luz,aqui para se ver neve tem que se ir ao
Rio Grande so Sul, mais precisamente na sidade de São Joaquim, quando vi a quantidade de
carros, deduzi que seria de visitantes, dado o tamanho da aldeia. Abçs e obrigado pelha par-

25 de janeiro de 2026 — 12:45. Subimos até onde o mapa começa a tremer e a voz do GPS pede desculpa. Penhas da Saúde recebe‑nos com um ar que parece ter sido engarrafado no século XIX e deixado a maturar no vento. As casas, enfileiradas como quem se protege de um segredo, olham para a serra com a mesma altivez de quem sabe que o frio é, aqui, uma forma de educação.
O Vento e a Sensação Térmica
Não é apenas frio; é uma disciplina. A temperatura pode dizer −6 °C, mas o vento, esse professor severo, corrige a lição e transforma o corpo em estatística: sensação térmica, −30 °C. O narrador da câmara que não trouxe guarda‑chuva aprende depressa que a meteorologia em Penhas da Saúde tem humor próprio — promete neve, entrega chuva, e ri‑se de drones que sonham voar. A luva que protege a lente é mais do que um acessório: é um pequeno pacto com a imagem.
A Aldeia e a Sua História
Há um passado que cheira a desinfetante e a esperança: o sanatório, as promessas médicas de ar puro, as camas alinhadas como navios prontos a zarpar para a cura. Médicos do século XIX acreditaram que a montanha podia soprar a doença para longe; hoje os turistas acreditam que a montanha pode soprar a pressa para longe. Entre capelas e hotéis com nomes que evocam luas, Penhas da Saúde guarda memórias de repouso e de quem veio buscar vida onde o resto do país vinha buscar férias.
Turismo, Queijo e Ironia
No inverno, chegam esquiadores e românticos com botas novas; no verão, caminhantes que confundem altitude com iluminação espiritual. Há chalés, pousadas e um hotel chamado Luna Serra da Estrela, como se a lua fosse gerente de recepção. E há o queijo — esse pequeno milagre local — que nos lembra que, mesmo no topo do país, se fabrica conforto com leite e paciência. A ironia é que muitos vêm procurar autenticidade e acabam por consumir na em pacotes: trilho, foto, degustação, repost.
A Vida Quotidiana
Viver aqui é aprender a negociar com o tempo. Um dia pode começar com céu limpo e terminar com chuva que chega como quem entra em casa sem bater. As ruas estreitas conhecem passos lentos e conversas que não se apressam; as janelas guardam mantas e histórias. Quem fica aprende a ouvir o silêncio das alturas — um silêncio que não é vazio, mas cheio de vento, de memórias e de pequenas resistências.

Penhas da Saúde
25 January 2026 — 12:45. We climbed to where the map begins to tremble and the GPS voice apologises. Penhas da Saúde greets us with an air that seems to have been bottled in the nineteenth century and left to mature in the wind. The houses, lined up as if to shelter a secret, look out over the range with the same hauteur as those who know that here, cold is a form of education.
The Wind and the Sensation
It is not merely cold; it is a discipline. The thermometer may read −6 °C, but the wind, that stern teacher, corrects the lesson and turns the body into a statistic: wind chill, −30 °C. The camera narrator who forgot an umbrella learns quickly that Penhas da Saúde’s weather has a sense of humour — it promises snow, delivers rain, and laughs at drones that dream of flight. The glove that protects the lens is more than an accessory: it is a small pact with the image.
The Village and Its History
There is a past that smells of disinfectant and hope: the sanatorium, the medical promises of pure mountain air, the beds lined up like ships ready to sail toward cure. Nineteenth‑century doctors believed the mountain could blow illness away; today tourists believe the mountain can blow haste away. Between chapels and hotels with names that summon moons, Penhas da Saúde keeps memories of rest and of those who came to seek life where the rest of the country came to seek holidays.
Tourism, Cheese and Irony
In winter, skiers and romantics arrive with new boots; in summer, hikers who mistake altitude for spiritual illumination. There are chalets, guesthouses and a hotel called Luna Serra da Estrela, as if the moon were the night manager. And there is the cheese — that small local miracle — reminding us that even at the top of the country, comfort is made from milk and patience. The irony is that many come looking for authenticity and end up consuming it in packages: trail, photo, tasting, repost.
Everyday Life
Living here is learning to negotiate with the weather. A day can begin with clear skies and end with rain that arrives like someone entering a house without knocking. The narrow streets know slow footsteps and conversations that do not hurry; the windows hold blankets and stories. Those who stay learn to listen to the silence of the heights — a silence that is not empty but full of wind, memories and small resistances.
Poetic Close
Penhas da Saúde is a place where the body remembers it exists and the soul discovers it can be simpler. It is the village that teaches us to value warmth — not only the heater’s, but the warmth of hot bread, shared cheese and laughter muffled against the wind. And when the rain finally comes, as at the end of the video, it is not punishment: it is simply another chapter of a story told in layers of cold, courage and beauty.

Hello Miguel… I know you work hard to bring everyone a part of Portugal some of us may not know.
My POV …What I see is a chaotic mess, with all that tourism, comes money in, but the maintenance is visibly poor. So, why does it appear asphalt road full of pot holes? Poor snow removal maintenance. Plus, there is no order to parking, its a mish mosh, park anywhere, free for all, no order.. For me, its why bother going into a chaotic mess, its a stay away moment. Thankx for sharing. Miguel, o que foi feito do Sanatório? Aqui em BH, lá no começo do século XX, as pessoas também procuravam refúgio para problemas respiratórios. Mas, a cidade cresceu e perdeu esta característica.
Penhas da Saúde deve ficar muito bonita também em outras estações. As belas paisagens de inverno devem ganhar suavidade e cor na primavera e no outono, então, deve ter um show de cores!
