If you only have one afternoon in Seoul, where should you go? As a licensed English tour guide, my answer is always Gyeongbokgung Palace. But don’t just take photos of the architecture—you need to understand the soul of Korea hidden within these walls.

Plus, I’ll share practical tips on how to enter for FREE, the best photo spots for your Hanbok shots, and a crucial update about visiting Bukchon Hanok Village (New Curfew Rule!).

Great one! Thank you Gamja in Seoul! 👏👏👏
Visited the Palace before but nice to know the history more.
Also watched some Korean dramas like The Virtuous Woman Park Got Married By Contract, The Tyrant's Chef that showed different parts of the Palace. Your video make watching them more interesting and feel more connected.👍👏
Wait for your next good video 👍💪
I like the way you explain things.
What is the name of the harmonica music played it’s very nice from 04:15 to 05:50
Excellent presentation. I enjoyed it and learned new things about the place. Thanks!
A very well organized video I must say. When arriving at the palace this May do we explore the grounds on our own or are guided tours available if desired?
Thank you! Well done. I will be in Korea in May with my two boys, visiting from Canada, in order to learn about my culture and traditions. Appreciate your video looking into the history of Korea and the palace. Fascinating!
❤❤❤ this type of video. Could you please post more about other historical sites in Seoul? Thank you.
Thank you, your video is interesting. I've been Gyeongbokgong 3 times. The restoration work over the years has been excellent, but I hadn't learned the full history of the place.
Kia ora from New Zealand. I'm visiting at the end of March for 5 days and 4 days in Haeundae Beach. Your video is so well put together. Very informative. You have a flair for this. I'm staying not too far from the palace and your information will help me enjoy the visit even more. 감사합니다
Absolutely fantastic video – can see a lot of time and effort went into it!
I haven’t been to Seoul yet but I’m happy at least I already know a piece of its history just by watching this video. Thank you!
We were in Korea a year ago and visited the palace, it was disappointing on my part because I was expecting booklets to buy for information about the history of the palaces, I hope Korean Tourism Ministry will provide this booklet, they are worth to buy especially for people who loves the history of Korea and for keepsake , I thank you, your vlog is very informative
Best informative video I’ve seen on this palace.
Great video. We loved our visit here. If we come back to Seoul we’d love for you to show us more!
