台北美食神之臭豆腐、碳烤雞排|還有超大間思夢樂,萬隆人來帶路!!

Hello everyone, I’m Shan Allen. Wanlong is an area located between Gongguan and Jingmei, and it’s also where I grew up. Back when I was a student, whenever my classmates asked me where I lived, I would answer “Wanlong.” They would all say, “Is it the place that sells pig’s feet?” Many people mistakenly think of Wanlong as Wanluan, so I started saying Jingmei or Gongguan instead, which people are more familiar with. Recently, I learned that there’s also a place in Indonesia called “Bandung,” which is considered one of the most beautiful cities in Indonesia. I think I’d like to visit sometime. Now, thanks to the Taipei MRT Xindian Line, more and more people know about Bandung. In recent years, Bandung has also become more famous for its stinky tofu and fried chicken. However, Bandung is mostly a residential area , so there’s not much to do for shopping. But if you want to go shopping, it’s only about a kilometer from Gongguan or Jingmei , which is very convenient. Bandung has a large PX Mart and the Japanese clothing brand Simmons , enough to keep you occupied for a while. Since I’m a native of Bandung, I’ll introduce some of my favorite restaurants first , and then describe the living environment of Bandung along the way , giving some friends who are planning to live in Bandung a little reference. Let’s set off together today with my video! Breakfast is very important, and there are several breakfast shops in Bandung, such as McDonald’s and Q Burger. It’s a chain store , but Allen prefers this classic American beef burger. Although the price is a bit high , it uses imported beef and is very satisfying. The burger bun itself is crispy, probably specially toasted. Allen ordered the honey flavor, which had a hint of cinnamon. The toast was also just the right amount of softness. Actually, you don’t have to wait for afternoon tea to have “French toast” in the morning ; it’s a wonderful thing. Topped with mustard and ketchup, and wrapped in an egg, it’s incredibly flavorful. The meat and egg toast uses fresh pork, and the egg inside is a “red-kernel egg,” which is highly nutritious. Allen spent a little time filming the food, so the meat and egg toast got cold . It’s still very delicious. This restaurant is very popular with locals and is often full. Be prepared to wait 30 minutes for both takeout and dine-in . Today is a weekday Friday, and I arrived around 10 am , which is a relatively quiet time. In short, if you’re just coming for a beef burger or French toast, 200 NTD is a decent brunch . After breakfast, walk to the end of this alley and you’ll reach the Jingmei Branch of the Taipei Municipal Library. Although this is Wanlong , the library is called the Jingmei Branch, while the one in Jingmei Night Market is the Jingxin Branch. If you don’t check, you might really get them confused. This Jingmei Branch has a gym and a swimming pool. However, Ai… Allen has never been here before. If any friends have been, please share your experience. There are also some exercise classes. From the alley entrance near the library , walk to the end and you’ll reach the river embankment. This embankment leads to Gongguan and Jingmei , and even connects to Fuhe Bridge, so you can walk to Yonghe in New Taipei City. If you follow the river embankment (Xizhou Street) towards Jingmei, you’ll also reach the Jingmei branch of the sanitation team. Usually, if they can’t coordinate with the garbage trucks at the designated collection times, Allen will bring his garbage over to dispose of it. There are many parks in this area , and Wanhe No. 2 Park is also a green energy demonstration site. There are two flywheel bicycles here , which not only allow you to exercise but also generate electricity . The source will be prioritized for air quality monitoring stations. Near the library, there’s a beef noodle shop that Allen often eats at. Allen happened to be on a day off today, so the video was filmed a few nights ago. Allen really likes this place’s tomato beef noodles. About 30 years ago, there were military dependents’ villages around here , and a market in the morning. There was a shop in the market that specialized in selling beef noodles, but later the villages and market disappeared , and the beef noodles disappeared too. Allen hadn’t had the taste of military dependents’ village-style beef noodles for a long time, and only after coming to this place did he find the taste of his childhood military dependents’ village. The beef in the noodles here comes in various sizes. Although the beef noodles weren’t particularly delicious , a bowl like this was very satisfying . However, I… I like the secret-recipe rice blood at this place; it’s not too spicy and has a wonderful sesame oil flavor. Now I’m at Lane 218, Section 5, Roosevelt Road. There are many shops here, including FamilyMart, 7-Eleven , and chain stores like San Gu Mao Lu, Mai Wei Deng , Mei Lian She, and Kuang Kuang. I also often eat at this 218 hot pot place. There’s also a recently opened chain bento shop called Hua Pin Xuan on Lane 218. Because they have many dishes to choose from , there’s often a long queue. However, my current favorite bento on Lane 218 is from this shop. When it first opened, I thought the taste was okay, but since they introduced the braised pork rice, my family bought some for me once, and it really suited my taste, so I started eating their bento there. The braised pork rice costs NT$120, which is the same price as a restaurant bento box , but the side dishes are plentiful and the rice is generous, showing great sincerity. Just across the street from Exit 2 of Wanlong MRT Station , there are Wanlong Beef Noodles and Si Hai You Long, making dining options very convenient. Now, here’s a stinky tofu stall. If they sell out early, they close early , and if there are special holidays in the month, they will also update the opening hours on Google Maps and post a notice at the entrance, which is very thoughtful. This stall originally started as a small food truck outside the National Taiwan Normal University branch and later became famous. Even the chairman of Taipei 101, Chia Yung-chieh, came to eat there. Later, they opened their first store in Yonghe, and recently they finally returned to Wanlong. Long opened a new shop, and like Allen, when he came for dine-in at 4 PM on a weekday, the place was already packed . There’s always a queue every evening, so be patient if you want to come. A serving costs 80 yuan and includes four pieces of tofu . To dine in , you queue to order, take a number, find a seat, and pay while waiting for your number to be called . Originally, it only had kimchi with stinky tofu, but now they also add shredded radish. The radish isn’t bitter at all. The stinky tofu here is fried twice , making it crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, and it’s also quite large. One serving is very filling. First-time customers often order another serving after finishing their first one. Allen did the same the first time he came because it was so delicious. However, Allen is already a regular customer, so one serving is enough for today. After finishing the stinky tofu, we walked 800 meters to digest and then headed to Wanlong Charcoal Grilled Chicken. This charcoal grilled chicken place is quite famous, and many online celebrities have come to recommend it. It was a weekday afternoon around 4 PM, and we only waited 10 minutes to get the chicken. I can only say that this charcoal grilled chicken is the best Allen has ever had. The area also has amenities like Liang Shehan, Bafang Yunji, and Lao Da Fang , which is a very famous bakery. If you walk straight from here, you can reach Xinglong Road Section 1 , where there is a Carrefour supermarket and a Jin Yutang stationery store. This Jin Yutang moved from Jingmei. Although the store isn’t as big as it used to be , it still has a good selection of stationery. There’s also a late-night peanut soup shop nearby, which I’ll introduce at the end of the video . Behind Exit 2 of Wanlong MRT Station, there’s another shop called “Chongji Lai Le” (重鸡来了) . Allen really likes their chicken butts ; they have both grilled and fried options , and the pieces are quite large , making them very satisfying (compare the faces!). Speaking of fried chicken, the boneless fried chicken shop on Lane 218 is a must-try. If you come on the go, you’ll have to wait at least half an hour, so I recommend ordering in advance via Line for convenience. Ordering doesn’t require prepayment; you just pay on the spot. Allen really loves their tempura and rice blood pudding ; he can’t stop eating them! The sweet taro skewers are also delicious. Currently, we… After eating so much, it’s time for dessert! This ice cream shop is already well-known in Wenshan District ; many online celebrities and TV shows have featured it. Even my friends from out of town make a special trip here. I usually order the “Love-Induced Iron Milk Ice” with a side of brown sugar pearls. The hot brown sugar pearls and cheese are served separately, and the cheese is delicious. You can choose to eat it alone or with ice, both are great. The Love-Induced Iron Milk Ice has a very strong Tieguanyin tea flavor and isn’t too sweet. The recommended way to eat it is to first dig a hole in the middle and eat all the way down to the red bean layer, then pour in the hot brown sugar pearls. It’s especially refreshing ! I also have many other favorite shops in Wanlong. Due to time constraints, I’ll just briefly introduce them to you. There ‘s “Treasure Island Meatballs,” which won an award at the Changhua Meatball Festival. Meatballs come in a set of two; they’re not sold individually. You choose your flavor first, then decide whether you want two fried , two steamed, or one of each . Allen really likes taro flavor, so he gets one fried and one steamed. The Taiwanese meatball shop is conveniently located opposite the “God’s Stinky Tofu” shop , but there’s no crosswalk, so it’s a bit of a walk. Next up is Kobayashi Chun’s pork rice bowl , which costs 80 NTD. It has meat and vegetables and is often Allen’s lifesaver when he’s short on cash. 80 NTD is enough to fill him up, which is great value. For breakfast, I recommend Chen Ji’s Military Village Baked Flatbread on Xinglong Road Section 1. This shop specializes in cold baked flatbread, which is a testament to the owner’s dedication. Last year, during peak season, their flatbreads would sell out by 10 AM, so they only accept pre-orders . But like Allen did this time, if you come at 11 AM on a weekday, you don’t need to pre-order. Allen likes their ham flavor; the outer skin is very crispy , and it comes with cucumber, lettuce, and salad dressing. A serving costs NT$50, which is quite luxurious (NT$60 if you add an egg). Next , let’s talk about the amenities in Wanlong. There are gas stations , several Shopee stores, and convenience stores. There are at least 10 convenience stores and five Shopee stores, with two more expected in the future. Besides home design shops, there are also over 10 dentists and general internal medicine clinics in Wanlong , so minor health issues can be easily addressed. There’s also a first-run cinema in Wenshan District , Broadway Cinema. Although the name is Gongguan Broadway , the address is still in Wenshan District . And one of the … The area of ”Wannianli” also includes Broadway. It’s about a 10-minute walk from Wanlong to Gongguan , or a 20-minute walk if you’re fast. You’ll also pass by the National Taiwan Normal University branch. There’s a beverage shop called White Cup here. Allen, who came from Taichung to Taipei, really likes their sugarcane green tea, especially the iced, sugar-free kind. Sugarcane itself is sweet, so even without sugar, the green tea is still very delicious. You can also find Qingyu’s Emerald Lemon Tea here. The last restaurant I’d like to share is the unique peanut soup on Xinglong Road Section 1. This is an old shop that’s open from midnight to morning. It was recently renovated and the peanut soup is very good, but on the sweeter side. The sesame seed cake and fried dough sticks are just average. However, Allen really recommends the peanut soup. If you ‘re interested in going out late at night, you can try it another day. Let me introduce PX Mart and Simmons. This building was formerly a flower and tree market, which was under government jurisdiction. It was recently acquired by the PX Mart Group and provides parking for convenient shopping . Inside PX Mart, there is a small Muji section and three small Decathlon deli shelves with a wide selection . Around 7 or 8 pm , they prepare for special offers, and the area gets very crowded. Today, Allen bought a scallion pancake for 15 yuan and grilled salmon for 36 yuan , another economical meal. Next to PX Mart is Simmons, a Japanese affordable clothing brand. The prices are quite cheap, and they also have plus sizes, which is perfect for plus-size people like Allen. Scarves are 49 yuan, hats are 290-390 yuan, and women’s tops are 290-390 yuan. Starting at NT$290, thermal underwear or thermal pants are available in sets of two for only NT$290. Children’s clothing also starts at NT$190. They have collaborations with games like Super Mario and Paintball, and plus sizes are available . Of course, bags and bedding are also readily available . Besides the Xinglong store mentioned earlier, there’s also the Wenshan Wannian store on Lane 170, Section 5, Roosevelt Road. This store has two floors and an elevator, and there’s a 7-Eleven next door, so it’s convenient to visit if you need to send a package or pay bills . The Songshan-Xindian Line of the Taipei Metro is very convenient; you can take it to Dapinglin and transfer to the Circular Line . During rush hour , if I need to go to Banqiao, I’ll take the Circular Line; otherwise, I’m worried about not being able to get on the Bannan Line at Ximen Station and then taking it to Guting. You can take the Orange Line to Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall, then transfer to the Red Line or go directly to Ximen, then transfer to the Bannan Line and Zhongshan Station to go to the Taipei Arena for a concert without transferring. If you go to Songshan to visit Raohe Street Night Market, you can also get a seat on the way back. If you go to Nanjing Fuxing, you can transfer to the Wenhu Line, but Allen usually takes the bus to Wanfang Hospital Station to save time. There are many bus routes, including Xinyi District, Nangang, Xizhi, Taipei Main Station, Neihu, Xingtian Temple, Shipai, Veterans General Hospital, Muzha, Xindian, Wulai, Shenkeng, etc. There are also buses to Keelung, Taoyuan, and Hsinchu. Okay, that ‘s all for today’s video. If you live in Wanlong or Wenshan District like Allen , feel free to leave a message and chat with me. See you in the next video!
