Good morning everyone, this is Sharon. I’m still completely asleep, and I have to get up so early to join a tour group. My group is waiting for me there. This trip is operated with the assistance of LTrip. This tour is a special project of ours, and I’m so excited! It’s 6 a.m. now, and we’ve gathered together. Since I live in Hong Kong , I’m setting off with everyone. Before this tour, I had been planning to go to this place myself, and I had already made all the plans. But unexpectedly, LTrip contacted me, Sharon, asking if I was interested in organizing a tour. So, this tour was born. It was launched a bit late , so some friends might not have made it in time. Some viewers are very kind; they had already bought plane tickets to go on the trip , but they still specially joined my tour from Kansai. Today, our group , including me and the tour guide, is about 15 people . We have a large bus, which is very comfortable. The first day of our tour is not easy because it’s a two-and-a-half-hour drive straight to Nagoya’s famous flower tour. We will stop at some local product shops along the way, so you can get off to rest or browse around. What local products are available here? It’s very close to Mie Prefecture. So even local specialties are sold here, including my favorite Ise lobster biscuits !
I really can’t resist this grilled mackerel sushi. We also get Omi beef at Hikone Castle; they sell beef skewers. We just passed near Koga, and Shigaraki is actually very close. Although we ate something on the bus, we’re still a bit hungry, so we just bought Omi beef croquettes. The most convenient way to get to Nahana no Sato is from Nagoya Station. It ‘s a 30-40 minute bus ride from Nagoya Meitetsu Bus Terminal. Wow,
we can already see the lights! They’re so beautiful! We arrived in the evening and already saw them , and the blue tones are even more beautiful at night. There’s already a fairy-like atmosphere at the entrance. I know there’s a garden inside. Nahana no Sato plants different flowers in each season, and there are also several Western-style gardens. It’s so beautiful, with a foreign feel! There are also several restaurants inside. The highlight in winter is seeing the lights; you can see them from evening until night. We’ll go in after dinner. Before nightfall, you must see this huge greenhouse. The flowers inside bloom all year round, making it easy to take beautiful photos. Walk through this dreamlike path made of lights and plants. The corridor is like stepping into a fairytale world. There’s a romantic atmosphere and a faint fragrance of flowers. This greenhouse is huge! I love the hanging plants and the lighting; it’s so dreamy and beautiful. There are actually several gardens with different styles inside, sometimes resembling a tropical rainforest . Wow, the food here is quite comfortable and beautiful. Some of the environments even have music and light shows. I first became acquainted with Nahana no Sato because I was attracted by its massive autumn and winter light show. This 200-meter-long corridor of light is one of the most beautiful Japanese light installations I’ve ever seen. It ‘s long enough to seem endless, and the lights inside are huge, dense, beautiful , and ethereal. It’s easy to capture the feeling of endless light here. At the exit, you’ll see another area. Wow, there’s a huge theater in front! It’s so beautiful. I heard that the theme is different every year. One year it was the pyramids, and this year it’s everyone’s favorite Mount Fuji and lucky cat ! Haha. The screens on the side actually showcase different aspects of Japanese culture and features. The lighting colors are based on the four seasons: spring, summer, autumn, and winter. The four Mount Fuji themes are truly stunning. Behind me is the incredibly beautiful LED light show at Nahana no Sato, near Mount Fuji. It’s so beautiful and amazing! The photos are already stunning, but the actual view must be even more breathtaking. It’s one of the most beautiful LED shows I’ve ever seen. There are many LED light bridges like this along the way , so if one isn’t enough, you can go to another one. Oh, Mount Fuji is lit up! Haha, so interesting! We had a simple dinner at a Japanese restaurant on this side of the park. Actually, there are several restaurants here , offering Japanese, Italian , and German cuisine, as well as light snacks like soda crackers. We ate at a Japanese restaurant right now, which had a sashimi set meal with sukiyaki. For 3,000 yen , there were four slices, which was pretty good. After dinner, we took a walk and saw such beautiful scenery. Nahana no Sato is a place I’ve recommended to many friends , but I’ve never been there myself. I knew it was beautiful , but today I finally had the chance to experience it. It’s definitely worth seeing in person because cameras can’t capture the beauty of the lights . Isn’t it beautiful? The surrounding environment is also incredibly beautiful and romantic. It would be even more special if two people came together. We’re staying at a hotel tonight. The Room Inn is a new series with black exterior walls. The newly renovated rooms are very square and have a small layout, but surprisingly, there are tables and chairs inside . You can have a late-night snack here. This is a single room, and it has all the basic amenities. The bathrooms are all integrated, although they are old-fashioned , they are very complete . These are all transit hotels, and I noticed that none of them have wardrobes. My group was a bit tired from the first day of travel. This series of hotels is quite nice, with natural hot springs . You can go down and soak in the beautiful hot springs to rest for the night. We will set off again tomorrow. The biggest feature of the whole trip is that we have selected many hot spring hotels or inns. Our itinerary for the second day will pass through Gifu Prefecture and Fukui before going up to Toyama. If you are traveling independently, you can take the train to Mino-Ota Station and walk for four minutes. However, there is not much to see nearby, so it may not be worth coming here specifically. But since we are with a group, we can stop here. This old Mino-Ota Station was abandoned in 1999 but is now open for free visits. There are three trains here, all of them old-fashioned. The red of Tetsumachi is so eye-catching ! Wow, what a strong retro feel! This place is really great for taking pictures. I remember last time… Seeing these old-fashioned fans, it’s Shizuoka (guide). Can I pretend to be a train conductor? I think you look like one, haha, you have that kind of presence, haha, wow, so stylish , haha. I’ve never tried this before. Sitting in the train exhibition hall, everyone can experience it firsthand . However, you really have to be very, very thin to get into the conductor’s cabin here . Ah, ta-da, like this, haha, driving! Oh, driving! Although the place isn’t big, with only three trains , it’s really great for taking pictures. Everyone had a lot of fun taking pictures . For those traveling independently, you might consider taking a 45-minute train ride to Gunjo-Yahawa Station. Speaking of Gifu Prefecture , you might only remember Shirakawa-go and Takayama , but what you might not know is that Gifu Prefecture is a major center for food models. Eighty to ninety percent of all food models in Japan are made here. You often… Seeing these food models inside the restaurant or the large decorations outside, this place shows you how they’re made. There’s a small workshop where instructors teach you one-on-one how to make them. I just saw someone cutting lettuce, it was so funny! Food models are a truly amazing invention in Japan , and they’re incredibly realistic , making us diners’ appetites even more! The Western-style food models will teach you how to make things like tempura shrimp, how to attach the shrimp to the shell. I love Echizen crab, it’s so lifelike, I think I should buy one ! These days, claw machines are popular for grabbing food models, and here you can choose freely. But don’t underestimate the food models ; they’re not cheap. 10,000 yen! You wouldn’t even buy a real Kobe beef for that much. So there are many scenes for taking photos. It’s been a while since I’ve been on a tour, but I’ve noticed that tours are very different now. Before, the guide would stop and explain a lot of detailed information , but now they mostly explain things on the bus . When you get off, you’re free to move around , take photos, and see what you like. Like we just saw the food models, after our free tour , you can walk around and see the buildings, realizing what the town is like. The overall freedom is really high. It ‘s a pity that Gifu wasn’t the focus this time, unlike previous group tours . If it weren’t, you could visit its Sky Castle, which is truly beautiful , and its castle town, which is also a famous water town. For those driving, you can also visit Monet Pond nearby , which is very close. Another must-see in Gunjo-Hachiman is the Nagaragawa Railway, which I think is the most unique train in Gifu . The entire station is so retro and beautiful. The train itself consists of two retro-style carriages with old-fashioned fans, making it feel like stepping back into the Showa era. However, this train is becoming increasingly popular , and it’s not easy to get on. On the day we boarded, the train was already full. The entire train winds around the idyllic countryside scenery and the clear Nagaragawa River. Although nowadays in Japan… The autumn leaves are hard to predict; we didn’t see any on our day. However, the environment here was really comfortable .
If you have the chance, you should try taking the sightseeing train. It runs in different seasons, and the scenery is beautiful in all four. You can have lunch on it. You can even get your stamps on this unique, nostalgic railway. Today’s lunch is yakiniku (grilled meat). Our group meal is at this renovated restaurant serving Hida beef. The view inside is quite nice ; the environment is really beautiful. You can see the Nagara River outside. You can eat through the floor-to-ceiling windows. The group meal includes Hida beef and grilled chicken. If you want more, you can pay extra . It ‘s not so much that it melts in your mouth , but it has a bit of chewiness. The meat flavor is quite fragrant , but the fat is a bit too much. I don’t like eating too much fatty food; it’s too greasy. Yes, the weather is really nice. During long bus journeys, there are usually places for people to rest and take photos because we see some beautiful scenic spots. For example, Jiutoulong Lake is near where we ate crab in Fukui before , so we can take photos there too. It’s a small parking lot , but the scenery here is really beautiful. Actually, the scenery here is beautiful every autumn , but unfortunately, this autumn is really hard to capture; we only saw a few red leaves. Sometimes the most beautiful spot isn’t necessarily where there are scenic spots. Sometimes, we try to stop wherever we can along the way. Hey , if you’re not driving, joining a tour group has this advantage too— the tour guide will help you find places, which is very convenient. Let’s take a break at the stop and have some pressed sushi. I didn’t expect they had such famous white shrimp here ! The white shrimp was delicious, I wanted to buy some too. At the stop, I saw my favorite takoyaki stick sushi, glow-in-the-dark squid , and Toyama black ramen. We’re off to Toyama! There’s a place in Toyama I’ve always wanted to visit , known as the last hidden gem of the Japanese archipelago : the Shokawa Gorge near Omaki Onsen. It’s even better in winter! The weather lately has been unpredictable, fluctuating between hot and cold. The autumn leaves haven’t turned red yet, so coming here is a bit of a hassle. Lately, you have to go to Takaoka Station and take a one-minute train to Komaki Station. Komaki is where you board the ferry. You can go to Omaki Onsen first. There are routes departing from Komaki Port, one to Omaki Onsen and
another to Nagasaki Bridge. The route is a 25-minute boat trip that reaches Nagasaki Bridge and then turns back. The Shokawa Gorge is a V-shaped valley carved out of the Hida Gorge. The lake water is emerald green, and the lush greenery along the cliffs adds to the charm. The boat passes through verdant cliffs on both sides, almost vertical at 90 degrees. Because the gorge is so deep and steep , the Japanese government abandoned plans to build railways or highways here in the 1960s. While traces of roads can still be seen , further inland access is only by water, and some areas even lack cell phone signal. Therefore
, it’s known as a place forgotten by modern transportation. This tour doesn’t focus on Toyama , so we ‘ll only briefly touch upon this area. If you’re interested… You might consider taking the Omaki Onsen Line to explore this area further. If you also appreciate the tranquil scenery, then I think the Omaki Onsen itself would be perfect for you. I’d love to try flying drones there too ! It’s a renovated hotel, and since it’s still located in the mountains, there are some sightings . The hotel we stayed at is nestled in the mountains of Toyama, making it incredibly peaceful , but it has everything you need, such as a souvenir shop and a hot spring bath. The wardrobes are well-equipped, you can boil your own water, and there’s coffee , but the refrigerator doesn’t have any drinks nearby. Actually, because it’s deep in the mountains , I can only say that the amenities are inevitably a bit dated. Having lotion is a plus, because… My hands are peeling so badly, it’s really tough. The bed… Actually, the room is very, very spacious. If you have kids, staying here would be a bit more enjoyable. This time we’re staying at a resort hotel in Tonami City. This is a Mercure hotel. The restaurant downstairs has been renovated. We’ll be having dinner here tonight. Dinner is a very lavish buffet. I just saw how abundant the food is . Beforehand, I asked Toby, our guide, if we wanted to eat some sashimi first, because I was worried we wouldn’t get much sashimi. He said there’s a lot of pressed sushi here, so we could try the trout and pressed crab soup . I think they did a pretty good job and were quite fast in serving the dishes. The yellowtail and daikon radish, and the fried white shrimp are all-you-can-eat ! That’s outrageous! There’s a wide selection of cooked food here , and the freshly made dishes are quite meticulously prepared. They have ready-to-eat soup noodles that you cook yourself, and freshly made cream puffs— so tempting! As is typical of large chain hotels , the food is top-notch. But the best part is the huge buffet area , and all the ingredients are from Tosan Bay— all the shrimp, tuna, yellowtail, and other seafood you love are all-you -can- eat! There’s also white kelp, which you usually buy in bulk, but here you can take as much as you like. White shrimp, crab flavor, and other local ingredients are all-you- can-eat . It’s rare to find mackerel and kelp together at a hotel like this. Even though Hong Kong doesn’t have many souvenir shops , they sell a few local Tosan Bay products like white shrimp and kelp in small boxes, and fishermen’s smoked pickles. I’m very happy today . I actually shared a lot with my fellow travelers about why I have this channel, what I’m responsible for, what my main job is, and the hardships and secrets of making YouTube videos . Today, everyone saw me working here. The most interesting thing is… I’ve shared a huge secret ! Yes, this tour is exclusive to my fellow tour members. Many friends have DMs (distributed by DM) that I couldn’t get time off for this tour or had already bought plane tickets , asking if there would be another tour. I don’t know if there will be a next time because it’s difficult for me to get time off , and I’m quite busy with work. This tour was a very serendipitous opportunity; I received an invitation from LLTrip , and I had actually planned a route to visit some relatively remote places . Although the tour includes some well-known attractions , many places are actually quite difficult to reach. For example , our tour today included Omaki Onsen, which is located in Toyama and requires a long drive to reach. It’s a very quiet village. Although the weather wasn’t great today and there weren’t any autumn leaves , I think different weather conditions create different feelings, so learning to appreciate the weather each day is very important . Friends who like my videos, remember to comment, like, share, and subscribe! If you really want me to organize a tour , leave a comment below telling me where you want to go and where you want Sharon to take you. Okay, bye!

  1. happy happy to have the detailed information and so scary that just have yesterday overview! we will follow your iti for self drive later

  2. we wish to follow your tour but somehow really hard to fit in the days as need to discuss with boss and teammates!

  3. wish you have more unique tours soon as what you shares is really seldom has other HK youtubers metnioned, keep your good work

  4. thanks so much, apart from those popular tourists places, we just follow your iti for magic crab! so tasty and the sky city (bamboo )and also wild boar! happy happy trip for us
