Chiang Rai Day Tour, Local Food, and Hotel Introduction Sawasdee Ka (Hello), it's Min. The sunrise from the massage school is beautiful. I'll work hard in class again today! Class is over! Went to the night market with a friend I made at school! Free-spirited chickens… too much traffic, it's scary… there is a pedestrian sidewalk, but I waited for the start and successfully crossed! No tourists. A local night market, it seems much cheaper than tourist spots! There are some delicious looking foods, but also some mysterious foods… safe (← important) and they came with two because they looked delicious. Some kind of sausage , freshly baked herb sausage. Delicious ♡ It was very popular with the locals, so we lined up for it. It was douhua. You can't go wrong with locals lining up, so you order it even though you don't know the price, and if you don't know the price, you just pay a price that seems reasonable lol. I ate it when I got home. I think people who like douhua will like it … does everyone like douhua? The fruit looked delicious, and I'd almost finished eating all the Thai food, so I was looking forward to Thai Kentucky for dinner. My five-day class is over, and yesterday I successfully passed my test and received my diploma! I was able to use my room until the next day, so I went for a walk around the area . The nearby temple was huge and sparkling! ✨ It's far from the tourist area, but it was a magnificent temple. Thai dogs are a little scary, so be careful… From today, I headed to the hotel where I'd be staying . It's a hotel near Tha Pae Gate. There was a pool, but it wasn't hot enough to swim in. During this long trip, I decided on a hotel along the way, and this one was a retro- style twin room I decided on yesterday. lol One room has a place to put luggage, and the view is great! I could check the weather properly.👍 The towels were well-made, and I didn't mind the toilet getting wet. One night here cost about 3,400 yen!! I came to a fashionable market. It's a photogenic spot. There are lots of cute accessories, Thai-style accessories , clothes , and things of better quality than at the night market. I had some luggage issues so I just looked around… I was thinking of going out for dinner, but…I couldn't find a store that caught my eye, so I bought some convenience store items. The bottle opener I bought in Laos last year wouldn't open at all . It wouldn't open at all. I destroyed the bottle opener, which I couldn't do with my bare hands. I gave up and bought some mayonnaise and some vegetables from a can …. Onigiri . I was reminded of the greatness of Japanese convenience stores. The next day, today I'm on a bus tour of Chiang Rai sightseeing. I don't really know what it's like, but I'm just looking at the bubbling water from the source of some hot spring . The roads aren't very good, so it's quite shaky! Ticket price included! Arrived at the White Temple. This recently built temple was designed by an artist from Chiang Rai. There were so many hands… it's a bit creepy… The path to the main hall is apparently based on the theme of hell. It feels more like an art piece than a temple. It's so white… it's so bright ✨ I can't keep my eyes open… Photography is prohibited inside the main hall. This is not a temple but a restroom. Lunchtime. Next up was the Blue Temple. Apparently built by a disciple of the White Temple, it 's very blue inside too. This is also a beautiful temple. The blue coconut ice cream was recommended by our guide and was delicious 🥥 Next up was the Black Museum. It seems to be this artist's work. The inside is also black … crocodiles?? It was a worldview I didn't quite understand… It was all a bit strange, but my destination was the next spot!! Finally arrived! The Golden Triangle, where Thailand, Laos, and Myanmar meet on the Mekong River, was once the world's largest drug-producing region… but now the security situation is fine. From a Japanese perspective, the view of the three countries of Thailand , Myanmar , and Laos is fascinating! I had been looking at it all day in Luang Prabang on the Mekong River cruise, and today was also good. I also got a Lao beer Lao. The rocking of the boat spilled it, so only half was left…tears. This is Laos, a hotel skyscraper built with Chinese capital… it took 3 hours to get back. The Sunday market near Tha Pae Gate is lively at night in this hot country. Shops are even set up inside the temple. There are a lot of food stalls here. I'm looking for something that looks edible. I can eat anything, but safety is important. I ate this Pad Thai and coconut waffles . I was tired from the tour, so the photos are rough… The next morning, I went on a Chiang Rai tour to have breakfast. As expected, the distance was long and I slept so soundly last night. I looked into it, but it seemed like it would be difficult to get there on my own, so it was fun to go to some unusual places on the tour. It looks like it would be fun to explore rural Thailand. For breakfast, I chose my side dishes here. Fish and some kind of salad. A very local restaurant. I like to try out fairly local restaurants. It's fun to experience the realism of traveling. The seasoning is very delicious. I ordered by pointing, but the waiter said something like, "You shouldn't do that!!" and it was probably a frog. It was a pleasure to have such a kind person at the restaurant lol. It was always crowded with locals, but it was delicious, so I recommend it! I saw someone who seemed like they could make a delicious Thai milk tea, and it was even better than the chain ones. It was so good, I thanked the staff, but my English was so bad, so I said nothing… Moving to the hotel. For the last two nights, I'd like to stay in a slightly more luxurious room . I'm excited, it's lovely! It's great! (What dialect??) I'm excited to stay in a proper hotel for the first time in a while. The room has a courtyard view , and for some reason, it has chairs. It's about 7,900 yen a night! (I booked it just in time, so it was cheaper.) It's a bit too luxurious for a backpacker, but since it's my last stay, the bathroom and everything are perfect! Yay! ✌ I was able to watch the first YouTube video I edited in Laos on the big screen. I spent a relaxing time at the hotel. I'm looking forward to dinner with the girl from massage school ♡ Waiting for the motorbike taxi . We arrived at a pizza place . It's about time to eat something other than Thai food! We agreed lol. There's also Beer Lao here, so we toasted with Laotian beer. It was delicious, the food was filling and I had a great time ♡ I returned to the hotel but it was so lively that I couldn't walk around, but it was too noisy so I just quietly went back to my room The second half of my time in Chiang Mai was also fun!
