【群馬県高崎観光】行くならココがお勧め!美味しいグルメに有名観光スポットが盛り沢山の高崎の街を色々巡ってみました!

Takasaki City, Gunma Prefecture Hello, this is Testoku Travel. This time we are going to Takasaki, Gunma Prefecture . In one day, we will be visiting various popular courses in Gunma Prefecture. First, Takasaki Let’s go to a temple that is filled with the famous daruma dolls. Let ‘s go! It’s about a 15-minute drive from Takasaki Station to Shorin-san Taru. Next to the temple, we were greeted by many large daruma dolls. The atmosphere is great, and just looking at them cleanses the soul. This temple is said to be the birthplace of the auspicious daruma dolls, and the Takasaki daruma dolls have cranes on their eyebrows and turtles on their whiskers . Their faces are also very cute. Let’s take a peek at the building next to the hall . There are many daruma dolls inside the hall, too. There are also a large collection of daruma dolls from all over Japan. There are also some unusual daruma dolls, which are fun to look at . There are also works by Bruno Taut , a German architect who lived at Daruma Temple . It’s like a small art museum . There are also many other daruma goods for sale, such as chopsticks, colorful pouches , cute tenugui towels, and many cute daruma dolls. It’s hard to decide which one to get ! There are many other things to see, and they are all over the temple. You can also try searching for Daruma dolls and paint your own Daruma doll face . You can even ring a bell for good fortune ! After ringing the bell and feeling refreshed, it ‘s time to head to the next location . It’s about a 35-minute drive from Shorinzan Daruma Temple to Haruna Shrine. Our next stop is Haruna Shrine , known as Takasaki’s power spot. It’s a little far from the parking lot , so we recommend wearing comfortable walking shoes. Perhaps because of the high altitude, it’s cool and pleasant. The gate is large and impressive. Once inside, you’ll be greeted by a lush green landscape. The approach to the shrine continued . Just walking along it felt so good. Along the way, there was a place with many large cedar trees called Senbongisugi, and the Seven Lucky Gods were everywhere, so it was fun walking while looking for them . Here, when you dip your fortune slip into the sacred water, the letters will appear. You won’t know the result until you put the fortune slip in the water, so it’s a bit thrilling. There are shops along the way, so if you’re tired of walking, it’s a good place to take a break. As I continued, I came across a three-story pagoda and some interesting things like brushes and brush mounds. There was so much to see , and before I knew it , I had arrived at Haruna Shrine . Shrine By the time we arrived, I felt like I had already received a lot of natural power. Once you see the waterfall, it ‘s just a little bit more to the main shrine. Let’s try our best to climb the last steps and we ‘ve arrived. It’s lush and beautiful. Unfortunately, the main shrine is under construction until December 2025. Even so, the shrine standing in the middle of nature was impressive . Haruna Shrine is dedicated to the gods of fire and earth , so it is said that any wish will come true . It is said that it also has benefits for good luck and matchmaking, so I made sure to pray . After praying, my mood and heart felt lighter. Let’s go on to the next place. It is about a ten-minute drive from Haruna Shrine to Lake Haruna. Lake Haruna is A caldera lake formed by volcanic activity, it is over 1,000 meters above sea level and is a quiet and beautiful lake. Many people spend their time relaxing here, making it a truly wonderful place. There are swan boats and sightseeing boats that go around the lake. The beautiful Mount Haruna Ropeway is also located next to the lake , so it might be a good idea to take a ride. There are also many other things to do . You can even try go-karting at an affordable price . There are also two-seater ones, so it’s safe even if you have small children . Both adults and children can enjoy this. And, what’s more, you can even ride horses in what was originally a racing arena. It’s refreshing to be able to experience horseback riding at Lake Haruna . It looks like it would be nice to ride in a horse-drawn carriage, and you can also take a tour around Lake Haruna, so I recommend that you do it too. Feeling a bit hungry , we decided to have a snack here. It seems that you can enjoy the view of Lake Haruna while eating here , and since the weather was nice , we decided to eat outside. We bought this Gunma specialty miso oden . The konjac was soft, and the miso sauce was sweet and salty, and very delicious. We thoroughly enjoyed the delicious food and the beautiful scenery . Now, we’re really getting hungry, so let’s go and have a proper meal. It’s about a 50-minute drive from Lake Haruna to Shango Kuragano Bypass Store . Takasaki is famous as a bus terminal town , We arrived at the long-established Shango restaurant. The restaurant itself is quite cute, so let’s go in. It was lunchtime, so it was crowded with people having lunch. They had a great lunch set, but we really wanted to eat the famous Shango style, so we ordered that as a single dish . When it arrived, this was the Shango style. It was pasta topped with pork cutlet and meat sauce . It was a huge portion, so let’s start with the pork cutlet. As for the taste, it was crispy and delicious! Next up, how about some pasta? The rich meat sauce was delicious. I had some too, and was surprised. The meat sauce was very sweet and salty, reminiscent of miso bread and baked buns. I felt the origins of Gunma Prefecture’s flavor. I ordered the tomato-based Montemare of Mountain and Sea, which was also very filling, with lots of shrimp and mushrooms. The acidity of the tomatoes was effective, and it was creamy and delicious . Both were quite filling, but I ate them all up in no time. Thank you for the meal. I was very satisfied with eating my fill of delicious pasta . They also sell pasta and pasta sauce, so it might be a good idea to buy some as souvenirs. Now that we’ve filled our stomachs , it’s time for dessert. It’s about a 15-minute drive from Shango Kuragano Bypass store to the Gateau Festa Harada headquarters factory. It turns out that the headquarters and factory of Gateau Festa Harada , famous for its rusks , is located in Takasaki , so let’s go and check it out. The store’s 。 After filling our stomachs with sweets, let’s go shopping next door . There are a variety of sweets , from familiar treats to limited edition items we ‘ve never seen before . Many of them are individually wrapped , making them perfect souvenirs. Now that we ‘ve bought our souvenirs , let ‘s head to our next destination . It ‘s about a 25 -minute drive from the Gateau Festa Harada headquarters factory to the Dokudokukannon Temple . I was planning to go to Takasaki Kannon, which is said to be the symbol of Takasaki , but it seems they were preparing for a festival, so I couldn’t see it this time. Since I came all the way there, I decided to go to the nearby Cave Kannon. The admission fee is 900 yen per adult, but it seems to be a little cheaper in winter. Inside this artificial cave, about 400 meters long , there are 39 Kannon statues, making it like an amusement park full of blessings. Each Kannon statue has a different blessing , so it’s a lot of fun just looking at them. The Kannon statues are beautiful, and just looking at them is soothing. The inside of the cave is cool, and it seems to be maintained at 17 degrees all year round . It might be good to come here on a hot summer ‘s day . Going further in, there were many lit up Kannon statues in an open area. It was so beautiful, I felt like I was in another world. This cave was apparently made by Yamada Tokuzou , the owner of Takasaki’s number one kimono shop. He invested his personal fortune over a period of 50 years to make it, with the idea that it would be good for society. It really makes you think. After leaving the Cave Kannon, you can also visit the garden called Tokumeien . Let’s go there right away. It’s a beautiful garden with lush greenery . Inside the garden, there are Urashima Taro, the Laughing Demon, and the Laughing Enma, so it ‘s full of fun. There are also places where you can sit and look at the view, so it’s a good place to take a short break . You can also visit the memorial museum of Tokuzo Yamada, who created the Cave Kannon , for free, and there is also an air defense facility for people of high status . It is said that the cave is this spacious so that people of high status would not have to bow their heads . It is quite interesting. It was more fun than I expected , and it’s getting late, so let’s go to Takasaki Station for a drink. It’s about a ten-minute drive from Doukutsu Kannon to Takasaki Station. I parked my car and headed to Takasaki Station. Gunma-chan has taken over Takasaki Station! It’s only for a limited time, but she’s so cute I don’t mind keeping her like this forever. Now let’s head out into the city of Takasaki . This time, I’m heading to a yakitori restaurant that’s been named one of Tabelog’s top 100 restaurants. Reservations aren’t accepted, so I’m nervous about whether we’ll be able to get in . It’s about a ten-minute walk from Takasaki Station . There’s a warning posted in the restaurant that says non-drinkers are not allowed inside, so we ‘ll be fine. The atmosphere inside the restaurant is also really nice. We ordered a drink, and it seems like you get three skewers with every order . Our beer has arrived, so let’s have a toast. The first thing I ordered was chicken liver , and I was amazed at how big each one was. Of course, they were cooked to perfection. The liver has no odor at all , and the meat is fresh and delicious. Next, we will have the thigh meat with yuzu pepper . This is also a very filling dish. The chicken flavor is strong, and I felt the high quality of the meat. Next, we will have the limited edition Zurihimo, which is a cut I have never tried before. It will be served with mustard and Japanese pepper. The texture is crunchy and very delicious. It is so delicious that it makes you want to drink more and more. My favorite meatballs have also arrived. They are freshly grilled over piping hot charcoal and have a strong flavor. There is a lot of cartilage inside , and the crunchy texture is irresistible. I will still be eating more. The quail arrived first, and they were cooked perfectly, and I could not stop eating. It’s delicious to eat, too. I also tried the sand chicken thighs . Originally, Testoku doesn’t like gizzards, but it was so delicious that I ate the whole thing in one go. The salting was perfect. It was my first time to eat such plump sand chicken. I also tried the charcoal-grilled negi-maya and the super-sized chicken wings. Everything was delicious, so I got carried away and ate it all. Thank you for the meal. I was very satisfied with the delicious yakitori and delicious alcohol. I drank and ate a lot, so I got pretty drunk. But since I’ve come all the way to Takasaki , I think I’ll go to another place . I was walking around and found a good restaurant. They serve oden and other dishes. It seems they serve grilled fish dishes and other items . It seemed to be bustling with regulars , but we were warmly welcomed. Then, on to the second bar, we toasted with beer and tea. The appetizer was meatballs with a mild flavor and a strong dashi stock. It was delicious . We ordered oden . The fish cakes, chikuwabu, daikon radish, egg, and octopus were all hot and delicious. The daikon radish was soft and moist. The gentle flavor of the dashi stock warmed our bodies thoroughly. The egg was also fluffy and delicious, so we ordered a second plum sour. As expected, the oden at the second bar is the best. We ate it all in one go. For the finale, we had grilled rice balls with a fragrant miso flavor . We were very satisfied. I was able to finish off my drinking in Takasaki . Thank you for the meal . The atmosphere of the restaurant was also very good, and it warmed both my body and soul . It was my first time bar hopping around Takasaki , but I was able to eat a lot of delicious food and had a lot of fun. There seem to be many other good restaurants , so I’ll definitely come back next time. This time I introduced sightseeing in Takasaki, Gunma Prefecture. I hope it will be helpful to everyone . See you again! Next time, I’ll introduce Kusatsu. Look forward to it!
