【九州車中泊の旅】一生トラウマな50代男性が行く「陸にある島」と「首のない石仏の洞窟」【福岡県】
[Music] I’m a little nervous because I saw something like that before going to a haunted spot . I hope he’s not dead. [Music] Hello, everyone. This is Ito from Wakayama Mon TV. Today, I’m going on a car camping trip to Kyushu . I’ve been feeling a bit under the weather lately. First of all, I’m not feeling well. I’ve been feeling like I’ve had a cold for a while, and before I left, I also had gastroenteritis, so I ‘m taking Seirogan and Pansilon with me. My YouTube videos aren’t going well either. I’ve spent 10,000 yen on research fees and only recovered 500 yen, which is a terrible situation. So, I decided to go on a Kyushu trip to break through all of this . First of all, I’m sick. I’m going to get adrenaline going and fix that. I think the research fee issue will be resolved by taking a lot of money . Until now, I was only doing one a day. Also, even though I’m not feeling well, I weigh over 100kg. [Music] [Music] My setup seems a little weirder than before , but I’m ready. I didn’t need a sleeping bag today . I managed to get a four-hour nap. It’s not showing up, though. Shall I get one ready? It’s about 5:40 now. It’s still dark. Yes. This is Tsumura Island, an island offshore. It’s located in Kitakyushu City, Fukuoka Prefecture, in a corner of Shin-Moji Port . I was surprised to see the Shin-Moji Ferry Terminal, which resembles a Great Buddha Hall. This is Tsumura Island. It was originally an island 1 km offshore, but due to reclamation, it has become like this. However, thanks to petitions from former islanders, it has been preserved as an island. [Music] We’ve arrived at Tsumura Island. It’s near the ferry terminal. [Music] [Music] Apparently limestone was dug there. The pond in the middle there looks like it’s been dug. It’s forbidden. Is it rainwater? I wonder if it’s blocked off? Shall we take a quick walk around the island? This is an island that has been reclaimed and is located 1 km offshore. Apparently, during the Meiji period, it was home to around 200 people. Something jumped over there. There’s a fish . It jumped. See, maybe it’s a barnacle? If it’s a barnacle, does that mean this area is connected to the sea? Oh, there’s a sign with some kind of goddess legend written on it. Tsumura Myojin is a very beautiful deity. Oh, the morning sun is rising. Smoke is coming out. There’s a little bit, is it a lot? Is this a ferry too? Smoke is coming out. There’s lots of seaweed here. This is seaweed. See? Hey, it looks like it’s connected to the sea a little from there. Is it saltwater? From this crack. [Music] This was Tsumura Island’s breakwater. Seawater is coming in from this way. The ferry port is right nearby. Hey, you can’t go any further from here. It gets like this up ahead. Hey, I wonder if there was a shrine over there? Wow, this is my first time in Kyushu, I could see the sunrise. [Music] Wow, the clouds in Kyushu look different , don’t they? What’s this here? It looks like a trace of human presence. It’s a huge floating rock. There’s bamboo growing here, too. There’s bamboo around here. If you look closely, you can see that seawater is pouring in from here. The pond-like thing in the middle might not be seawater. There’s a place to sit, too. [Music] It’s huge. It doesn’t fit in. There’s something written on it. The fishing rock, er, it’s been left as a symbol. Apparently, this island was left alone because the villagers asked it to be preserved. There are quite a lot of these in Kyushu. They’ve been turned into parks, and abandoned villages have been turned into parks too, so I wonder if they’re being used . I see. Well, either by rich people or the local government. I can see concrete here. Oh, this rock looks like it might fall. Is this a cormorant? Should normal people stop here too? No, they shouldn’t. No. This is Shime Railway Park. Is it a station? There are train tracks and a station. This is a railroad crossing. You can see it over there. I couldn’t get too close. It’s pretty new. I thought it was a lot older. Okay. So, I’d like to go to Jusanbutsu. It’s a place that’s known as a somewhat haunted spot, and they say the Buddha is in a cave. Something surprising happened just now: a person collapsed at the Hirokawa exit of the expressway. It was right before the exit, but it was on the expressway. I guess it must have been an accident, but I wondered why there was a person there. Well, I was so surprised, they weren’t moving, so I was worried. It looked like they’d been blown away and fallen . There’s some kind of sound. [Music] Is that some kind of Akebia? You can drive in around here. Oh , Hirokawa Town. Wakayama has a Hirokawa Town, too. I saw that scene before going to a haunted spot, so I’m a bit nervous. I hope they weren’t dead. I think they probably took this road. Maybe they got there by car. No, well, it looks like the bamboo might be scraping the ceiling. What a strange sound. Well, it’s an animal, but it’s not a wild boar, it’s a monkey. This is a nice road. It’s really cold. A palm tree. Oh, it’s surprisingly close. I guess it would have been fine to walk. Oh, there are some nice stairs. Oh, we can park here. There used to be a garage for visitors. Right here. Where? There should be a hole, but I’m just stopping by to say hello to Acala . [Music] What a magnificent Acala. Well, just like in Inuyama, he’s holding a dragon sword. This one looks like a stone lantern. There are so many nandinas around here. There’s so much nandina around. I bet they were planted there intentionally. Maybe to ward off evil spirits. This is an azalea. Let’s go over there. This is nandina . There’s also a platform here, and the sound of pigeons. Was there a building there? Just a pillar. Ah, a stone Buddha. There’s a monument, so perhaps this was the roof of that. This is it. There’s a hole. It’s quite deep. It just looks deep. No, there’s some nandina here too. Oh, excuse me. Excuse me. The Acala makes some kind of sound. There aren’t any animals inside, right? Deer and the like often go into ruins. There are headless bodies around here . 12,344 bodies are headless. What sound is that? Water? The sound of water. Apparently they ran a gambling den here. This is the sound of water. The steaming water is amazing. It’s dug here. I wonder if the Buddha is in the picture, it’s really humid. It’s a little scary. It’s a sacred place. Phew. There’s some kind of sign here. Not a sign, but a stone monument. There’s something underneath. Somewhere around the water. I wonder if there was something here too. Thank you for watching. Our Kyushu car camping trip is still ongoing, so please subscribe if you’re interested. Once the trip is over, I’ll let you know the mileage, expenses, and weight. So please look forward to it. See you next time. [Music]
