Tokyo’s Secret Seaside Escape | Zushi & Hayama, Japan
A quiet morning begins in Zushi and Hayama. A calm seaside, surprisingly close to Tokyo. Time slows down here. Zushi Marina has a tropical, relaxed vibe. Palm trees and blue water create a resort-like view. A gentle morning breeze flows through the marina. The sky and sea blend into one calm blue. The view opens up as we walk the palm-lined path. Malibu Farm is a stylish oceanfront spot loved by celebrities. Its white terrace highlights the deep blue. “AO”, a modern Italian restaurant with ocean views. Gentle waves set a calm, slow rhythm. The town blends naturally into the sea. We reach Namiko Fudō Park along Route 134. There’s a hidden viewpoint in front of the park. Passing under Route 134 reveals the open sea. A quiet spot to sit and enjoy the view. “Surfers Zushi” hosts live music. A peaceful photo spot with a true Zushi feel. Sunlight shines beautifully on the water. Nearby is “Maruwa”, known for its sashimi set meals. Their Bluefin Tuna Boat Set is generous and popular. The fresh tuna melts in your mouth. Locals relax quietly by the sea. Walking the “Shiosai Komichi” path to the shore. Isshiki Beach is clear, calm, and peaceful. The Hayama annex of the Modern Art Museum. The sunset glows softly on the quiet sea. Hayama’s sea feels refined and unhurried. Watching the waves alone is deeply soothing. A soft breeze slows everything down. Quietness itself is part of Hayama’s charm. Every view feels like a photograph. Everyone here seems relaxed and calm. Enoshima appears faintly beyond Shibasaki Beach. Colorful lifeguard cabins stand beside small boats. We head toward Koiso no Hana ahead. Light and shadow deepen the scenery. Waves sway softly with each breeze. Rounded rocks create a gentle shoreline. The peaceful sea makes time fade away. A small shrine honors Ryūjin, the sea deity. We climb to the “Koiso no Hana” viewpoint. From here, you can see two beaches at once. The air feels calm and refined—classic Hayama. Chōjagasaki Point. A pleasant breeze and relaxed visitors. The Imperial Villa area carries a quiet dignity. Ringo Bridge reflects the Imperial presence. Beyond this point lies the Imperial Villa. The path is elegant and beautifully maintained. Gentle waves create a peaceful atmosphere. We continue toward the Imperial Villa. Behind the beach, the area feels quiet and lived-in. The air grows more formal near the villa. A calm, reserved place linked to the Imperial family. We stop by Hayama Shiosai Park. Trees surround this peaceful park. A museum and Japanese garden in one spot. Exhibits highlight Imperial family history. Quiet gardens blend with the scent of the sea. A relaxing space perfect for slowing down. The scenery changes gently as you walk. Hayama feels rich with simple, quiet moments. Hayama Marina feels wide open and breezy. We take a break at UNDER THE PALMO café. The terrace offers slow, scenic ocean views. A rich cheesecake with a refreshing aroma. Sea, boats, and sky overlap beautifully. The sunset adds quiet elegance.
