Tour de Nippon in Niijima & Shikinejima
東京の南方160kmの太平洋に浮かぶ新島と式根島。伊豆諸島に属する、隣り合うふたつの島へは、都会の喧騒を離れて船で最短2時間半、飛行機ならわずか40分ほど。目に飛び込んでくる同じ東京と思えぬほどの非日常的な島の景観に旅情が掻き立てられる。似ているようでそれぞれ異なる特色をもつふたつの島を行き来するアイランドホッピング。悠久の時間をかけて、自然とそこに暮らす人々がつくり出した未知なる彩りに溢れる島旅へ。
Just 160 km south of Tokyo in the middle of the Pacific are the neighboring islands of Niijima and Shikinejima. Though part of the Izu chain, they feel worlds away—reached in just 2.5 hours by ferry or 40 minutes by plane. Their landscapes, so unlike Tokyo’s, stir a deep sense of escape. Each island has its own character, inviting visitors to island-hop between them. This is a journey into vivid, unseen hues—shaped over time by nature and the lives of those who call these islands home.
